  1. Hi, I found the prelim book jackets for the Harry Potter Visual Dictionary (& sticker book). Looks like the exclusive minifig is yet another Harry Potter. Anyway have a look yourself in my blog HERE(pics not deeplinked since they are marked as prelim).
  2. My entry complete with flying broom. Hope the change worked... spent the last 15 min trying to change my avatar.
  3. Oh no. That's bad news for me.
  4. Really really nice! I would love to have a display like that for Christmas. Blogged here as well. Great work again!
  5. Oops, sorry! I did a search but did not see a dedicated topic. Didn't think to go thru all the other topics... So will this thread be merged or locked? This is the 1st time I've seen 300 spartans together so I thought it was quite a sight. Still waiting for someone to show their massive persian army...
  6. I'm not sure if Lee Jones is the 1st to do it, but it's the 1st I've seen. Yep, all 301 of them: Now he just needs an army of 10,000 persians, a few elephants and a golden god-king to complete the battle scene. Reading his commentary on mocpages shed some light on where the 300 spartans I saw from one seller in Bricklink went to. If you have a mocpage account, do pop by Lee's page and give your encouragement so we can see the persian army soon. (I don't) P.S. Hey Lee, if you are reading this hope you don't mind me posting here! It's just too awe-inspiring not to share.
  7. I think it looks awesome! Unfortunately I'm not technically inclined tho. Hope you don't mind that I've blogged about it here. Looking forward to see more street lights!
  8. Oops! Yes I do but no idea how to change. Is there a tutorial I can refer to change the subtitle?
  9. Haha, it's supposed to be 96 pages. I thought the Star Wars Visual Dictionary was great so if the HP book quality is not way off the book should still be above average. Plus assuming they attach an exclusive minifig then it might be worth getting the book just for the minifig. So far DK has given us fairly good books with great photos, so if nothing else I will get the book to look at the many many (sigh!) HP sets I missed during my dark ages.
  10. Hi, I hope it's correct to start a new thread on the Lego Harry Potter Visual Dictionary, if not Mods pls feel free to merge or close this thread. I found a listing on Book Depository here, costing RRP £14.16 (£10.62 after 25% discount). Anyone knows if there will be an exclusive HP minifig like Luke for the Star Wars Visual Dictionary? Regardless I know I will get the book, but it'll be a fab book if there is an exclusive minifig! There will also be a Lego Harry Potter Ultimate Sticker Collection also released on 16 May, 2011.
  11. Does anyone know how many sets/boxes of Winter Village Bakery is packed into one standard carton box?
  12. Great work lightningtiger! Would love to see the bank together with the rest of the buildings. Can you share some pics so we can drool at your town/city layout?
  13. Yes - at least for the set with Hermione all the heads are double-sided, so should be the case for the other as well. There should be one more pic for the Dobby key chain? Not in hi-res goodness but here they are: And together with their other friends: More comparisons of the different Harrys, Hermiones, Dumbledores, Snapes & Hagrids here if you are interested.
  14. The train station MOC looks great and I am looking forward to seeing it with the bakery too. Thanks for sharing!
  15. Great MOC Andy! I was browsing Flickr this afternoon when I came across your MOC and blogged about it immediately (here). Love your other works too, I visited your Brickshelf and was really impressed.
  16. I think this set is great to make into modular buildings. Just wanted to share this for an easy view of all the minifigs included. Edit: Oops, original file was too big so I resized it. Original file can be found here
  17. Hi, I looked but did not find any mention of the HP magnets and key chains. Apologies if already posted previously. In case this is news, I got some HP magnets & keychains today:
  18. Hi lightningtiger, I added some overhead shots that shows the interior in the 1st post. Thanks Peterab, Burma, Prateek & KielDaMan! Yes, one modified stairs coming up! Oh, thanks a lot for the useful ideas Johan, I will work on modifying the building. Really appreciate the pictures. Thanks again! I know I know... I hear the Chief of Police is furious and has just signed an arrest warrant for these two miscreants... apparently on charges of indecent exposure. I will be a good citizen and post the notice up when I get a copy. Done!
  19. I have to agree, but I was out of ideas and REALLY wanted the bricks off the floor (it was getting painful to hop over the bricks to access the windows...). Was hoping for some ideas/tips from some MOC experts here to complete this. Just a little explanation, the reason for the main entrance to be on the 2nd floor is cos the basement contains the holding cells for prisoners... Thanks! That's what I was hoping to achieve cos I also see many of such examples in Singapore. Thanks! Erm... my bf claims I've very naughty minifigs... they seem to move around a lot when I'm away... Yes, but I need to re-shoot the interiors (well, and exteriors too) - I will try to post some more pics this weekend.
  20. Been working on this for a while. I started with set 7744 Police Headquarters but ran out of bricks so ended up using sets 10197 Fire Brigade & 8154 Brick Street Customs as well. The concept is that of an old police HQ that recently had a modern wing added to meet growing needs. It's not quite there but I'm so sick of seeing the floor in a mess so I decided to just wrap up so I can get the bricks off the floor. Some how missed the busy couple on the roof so I shall have to re-take most of the exterior pics... sorry a bit NSFW... Update: Took a few hasty photos before I re-do the building. Exterior shot from the right side: Basement & Garage overhead: 1st floor overhead (reception & office): 2nd floor (recreation room) & helipad overhead: Roof top view:
  21. Thanks a lot Nausi & Tervlon! You guys are the best! I love the new sets... New series to collect! I think they would make a lovely set-up with IJ & POP sets too. Now I really hope TLG will release tan base plates for desert scenes, else no way I can set them up properly...
  22. Hi JRBricks, that's my blog. I did create a post in "LEGO General Discussion & News" to see if this could be confirmed: Sydney Opera House Large Scale Lego Set Unfortunately no news back then... not sure if any new info since.
  23. Am a big fan of your creations and couldn't resist blogging about your latest creation here: (link to blog) Thanks for sharing and really looking forward to more of your wonderful works. P.S. The car looks great and love the chrome!
  24. No not an opinion... someone who saw the catalogue (Link) described it as dark pink, tho I do agree the pic looks dark red. Was it just a really bad 'google translate'?
  25. I think it looks great actually. The pink roof certainly looks more appealing to little girls. I may consider getting this as a Christmas present for my niece if the actual set turns out nice.
