The Many Adventures of the Whacker and the Walrus #6
highlandcattle replied to Hinckley's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
And I think it is only used here in Antwerpen and surrounding places in Gent for example they would say De MAX!. While all dutch people seem to call everything they like lekker which just means tasty. I find that very funny :) -
I chose blue because it is a colour you can' use for many other things except maybe water :). Hey dragonator, It was meant to look a bit like a gipsy wagon. :) I actually have no Idea how wagons looked in the middle ages.

Thank you all for commenting, There is no interior yet. And the building was just a testbed for the roof technique. So I will update it in the future. I'm already working on Meet the Murks whre you will see the halfblood troll. Somebody at CC made my pictures better:

He crosses the globe to find the ultimate Wizdom! Hestores all his books and potions in his lovely blue carriage. His two companions: Urk the Troll. The wiz once saved his father's life, Urk was a gift of gratitude. He is the main provider of food for his two companions alltough they do not share his love for roasted scorpion and swamprat. Wu the depressed. Once an owner of many great inns. Wu's fortune changed when his lucky charm was stolen. Now he travels with the Wiz in the hopes of finding his luck back again.

And their dog Willy. In the back is the family farm. Their daughter ran off with a troll to the northern lands. They hope one day she will come to her senses and return home. Mr Knutson is very proud of his dunghill. Best dung in the whole county! The cat is wondering why she is smaller then that rat. Obligatory Ivy to mask the boring wall. The grey parts in the roof need to be replaced by brown ones. BL here I come The final side of the house, a bit plain. But I love the plants. Once again sorry about those bad pictures. I have graphic converter for Mac OSX but I really wouldn't know where to begin to make the look better

This is one of many borderstations between the two nations. It is actually an old invasion camp from when the humans tried to enslave the trolls. Not much remains of the original fort. In the continuing wars between humans and trolls it was devasted many times. Since the trolls are more of a nomadic people, they do not feel the need to rebuilt it. If the humans should attack they would flee into the woods and fight a guerilla war. Like they have always done. Now it serves more as a trading post between trolls and the nearby human colonies. The troll soldiers spend their days gathering all sorts of food to roast on their fire. And asking taxes for passing merchants. The trolls claim that the skeletons under the stairs are the orignial human defenders of the fort, this helps them to collect taxes from passing humans. Enjoy! Sorry about the bad pics, I have a very old camera!

American Indian Theme Popularity
highlandcattle replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I really love these sets aswell! I only have the 6718 and kept the box because it is so lovely. I actually only bought it a couple of months ago. In an old toyshop (snef knows which one). Man, was she glad to get rid of it! I've been thinking about making an Indian MOC but I can't think of anything. Except for large pieces of nature. Were they rely that unpopular? I remember lego re-releasing one of the big sets. The same can be set for the ninja theme, extremly cool but also extremely shortlived -
This is the only Indy set I'm getting for sure! I just love the new hairpieces. The only stupid part in this set is the tent. I'm pretty certain I'll never use it.
-
Oh I guess it ha been released before! I just built it I absolutly adore it except for the big wheels. They look kinda silly. I'm gonna replace them for sure!
-
Holy cow! That is big. Well done!

This isn't a review, because I'm babysitting my parents house and my camera is still at my own apartment. I bought this set yesterday, because it was only 25 euros instead of 30. I like the set a lot because it contains three of the cool troll guys. And one wears some sort of strange American football contraption. I think this is also the first time that the harry potter door is released in reddish brown. The strangest thing about this set is that most of the tower is made in the new (?) Dark brown. I'm not sure if i like this color. It is almost as shiny as black. What do you guys think about this set? I see that not a lot of people seem to care about it since there are no pictures or reviews on BS.

Official Magnet Statement from TLG
highlandcattle replied to AgentRick's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Ok, I get why Lego is doing this. Magnetix is already going to be banned in the EU. And I now of one toychain that is dropping mega brands completely because of this. This is the way things work these days. Sadly. But I look forward to the new magnets, because new pieces are always nice to have. I wonder if the current train sets will be updated? read this on magents in toy in the EU: http://www.eubusiness.com/Consumer/beuc.2008-02-29/ -
Can we see some pictures of the purple train? It looks very good!
-
Well this is good news! The lack of a rechargeable battery is the reason I didn't buy the current RC trains. I really can't wait for the new train box! I hope they would reveal which model it contains. The news about the battery box and the new track shapes are a very good reason to eagerly await this new system. 2009 Is indeed a very long way of

Because he's got bad eyes?

Japs didn't wear those helmets you should give him a imperial officer hat, that looks more japaneesy. Also the japs didn't participate in WWI. So a WWI veteran would be weird. You could say a veteran from the Japan-China War.

Wow this is a very good idea, but the window pack is very badly executed. It appears that the shutterholders are only included in red and yellow. That limits your buildings to these two colours. I sure hope they don't abandon the old style windows. I will buy one of these and also the red roof pack because one can never have enough roof parts.

Frankly I don't find this Lego's problem. I think you should have a hearty chat with your post office rep. as there is obviously a thief overthere.
