  1. Seems right. Great quiz, as usual.
  2. Probably because the ones that talk a lot are dead. The Town sees some talkative people as trying to cover up their scumminess and lynch them, and the Scum see talkative people as leaders of the town and kill them in the night. The result is a very quiet day thread by the end of a mafia game.
  3. Jess walked into the marketplace, anticipating a lot of damage due to her party bound for the Fields of Glory was lacking in a cleric. She soon arrived at Portia's stall. "Hello, Portia! Your hair looks lovely today! I'd like three grand potions, please." Jess then forked over the thirty gold, leaving her nearly penniless but ready for battle. (36-10-10-10=6) As she was walking back to the Hall, she ran into Haldor. "Nice gloves, darling! We match!" Jess exclaimed as she brought her Pugilist's Gloves out of her bag.
  4. I thought that that may have been an influence on the Heroica RPG. Munchkin has to be one of my top five favorite games of all time, and I'm overjoyed to see it make its mark on Heroica.
  5. Jess's eyes widened at the can of worms she'd inadvertently opened. "Oh! Er... I'm sorry to uh, I'm sorry to hear that, Alexis. Ahem." Jess quickly averted her gaze from Alexis's blushing face.
  6. "Yes... I found that Haldor isn't quite as perfect as I originally thought. But it's water under the bridge for now; we worked it out. Our relationship will survive. Speaking of relationships... I haven't seen Althior in a bit. Where'd he go off to?"
  7. "It was certainly... Interesting. It created mine and Haldor's first fight as a couple... I'd prefer to forget about it to be honest."
  8. Jess walked into the Hall with her new purchases in her pack. She spotted Alexis, who seemed to be looking for someone to round out her and Tesni's group... "I'll definitely check into that after I talk to Haldor..." It didn't take long for Jess to track down Haldor. "Hey, Haldor. I overheard that Alexis and Tesni need one more to round out their group to the Fields of Glory... I want to go. I think I heard Tesni say that she wanted to be back in time for Haddon and Wren, so it shouldn't be too much of a hassle. I'm going to go ask Alexis if I can go with them." Jess then simply walked away to Alexis. "Hello, Alexis. I heard that you and Tesni need one more person for your team to the Fields of Glory... Would you two mind if I was that person? I just upgraded Blohdhurm, and I'm dying to try it out!"
  9. Jess walked into the section of the marketplace that was frequented by Heroica Heroes, her gold burning a hole in her coinpurse. A new stall caught her eye; a fellow in pink seemed to be selling trinkets to a mob of heroes who seemed to be practically throwing gold in his face. Curious, Jess pushed and shoved her way to the front of the crowd to see what all the fuss was about. "Hello, fellow elf. What are you selling that attracts such a ferocious mob of customers?" Fabian caught Jess's eye, and a smile branched across his lips as he answered. "Hail, my fair brethren. What is it that I'm selling you ask? Only the finest artifacts in Eubric Freeport of course! Can I interest a beautiful maiden such as yourself in this trendy handbag? It goes with your outfit and protects you from bad effects! Oh, but you look like the 'tough roguish type'. Perhaps these sticky gloves are more to your taste? With all the gold you'll be pilfering off the corpses of your enemies, they'll pay for themselves in no time! Why yes, I think that these are perfect for you! I'll sell them to you for the discounted price of 500 gold. What do you say?" Jess had stopped listening about halfway through Fabian's sales pitch and had started looking through his wares. Most of the "finest artifacts in Eubric Freeport" seemed to be nothing she could use; those she turned her nose up at immediately. One item did catch her eye, however... "I want those Pugilist's Gloves. MOAR POWER is always good. And at 80 gold, how could I say no?" Jess then forked over 80 gold to a slightly disappointed Fabian and headed to find Anwyl's smithy. (716-80=636) Jess strode to the stall of Anwyl, who seemed to be sweating over one of his Fauxthril weapons. Jess waited patiently for him to finish, but soon lost that patience. "Ahem. Anwyl? Yes, hello. How're you today? Nevermind, I don't really care. I need you to upgrade Blohdhurm here to WP: 14 please. I'll be by when it's done. Oh, and do be careful, I had it permanently poisoned on my latest quest. "Harrumph! Elves and their superiority complexes..." Anwyl muttered as he got to work on Jess's sword. He was soon done, and Jess stopped and grabbed it before heading back to the hall. (636-100-110-120-130-140=36 gold remaining)

  11. Thanks for the tag, Sandy and Admins! It's a great tag and a nice addition.
  12. Well first I'd buy this Petzl caving helmet and light system: Then I'd buy this caving jumpsuit: Then I'd buy a few hundred feet of rope, a new ascender and a new descender, and a few new flashlights and do this: This is the other hobby that Lego takes me away from...
  13. No problem! I'd also recommend Quirkology: How We Discover the Big Truths in Small Things. It's written by Richard Wiseman, a researching psychologist from Britain. The book explores the quirks of our society today, and details several social experiments Dr. Wiseman performed over the years. These experiments range from the scientific worldwide search for the perfect joke to the psychology of lying. Very interesting stuff, and Dr. Wiseman's witty style of writing gave me a few chuckles throughout the book.
  14. Jess looked up from her flagon of beer as she heard tell of the lottery. "Free stuff is free, eh?" Jess exclaimed as she signed her name on a piece of paper and sent it to the lottery box. "I love free stuff..." Jess mumbled to Haldor as she took another swig of her drink.
  15. 50 Psychology Ideas You Really Need to Know. Very interesting reading for a soon-to-be Psychology major. I already knew about thirty out of fifty ideas detailed in the book, but there was a lot more information on those, as well as twenty others I didn't know about. I'd definitely recommend it if you have any interest in Psychology.
  16. I actually watched Planet Hulk for the first time the other day, and it far exceeded my expectations. I'd definitely pay money to go to the movies and see something like it.
  17. :look:

    I should be worried, shouldn't I?

  18. Crap, I forgot all about that. And it was fun. :D

  19. I like how we're stalking and counter-stalking each other's profiles. :P

  20. I think he just updated the closed and active quests.
  21. Jess, still groggy, listened to Haldor's passionate speech. Her eyes lit up at the mention of Wren. "Wren... I still haven't had my shot at her. Yes, I'll sign my name. Gladly." Jess then wrote her name next to Haldor's for quest 38.
  22. Trust me, I know. This kinda just happened to me IRL and I wanted this at least to have a happy ending.
  23. Finally achieved level 20 with my wizzy just now. I was subsequently shotgunned and killed in the Godlands... Think I'll try my hand at Necro now.
  24. Zepher, I absolutely love Boomingham.
  25. Jess listened to Haldor, then sat in silence, unsure of what to say yet again. She then grimaced as Boomingham suddenly appeared and put his filthy, smelly arms around her and Haldor. He spoke his piece, then staggered back to the bar, most likely to get more drunk than he already was. Haldor then spoke again, and Jess's heart seemed to melt when he proclaimed his love for her. "Haldor... Boomingham's right... I can't expect you to improve me. And I can't expect you to be perfect. I... I love you too. We're going to have our problems, but we need to just work them out and get past this."
