Heroica RPG - Tidings of Comfort and All That Sh*t
Sisco replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Dear Portia, I hope that this Grogmas sees you and your potion business in good health and spirits. I've bought many a health potion from you! Every one I've taken from you has been top quality, with a seemingly minty aftertaste! It takes a special person to put that much care into their work, and I'd like to thank you for that by sending you this Diamond of Thoric. It's no different than a regular diamond, but it has a cool name! Perhaps it'll be of more use to you than it has been to me. Best wishes to you this holiday! -Jess Islanti -
Jess winced at the Nord's heavy-handed attack. Jess drank another Grand Potion then repeated her attack.

Jess weighed her options, then decided to down a smelling salts, then use the free turn to attack Erik from the back row.

Heroica RPG - Tidings of Comfort and All That Sh*t
Sisco replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Dear Anwyl, Merry Grogmas! I hope that this holiday season sees you well. You've always been good to me and Blohdhurm, and I'd like to thank you for that. I don't know if this will be any use to you, but I have enclosed Mercutio's Dagger of Mugging (WP:5, Mug Ability +5). It's brought me some gold and fortune in my day, but I'd like to focus all my energy on Blohdhurm, my sword from home. I hope that the dagger will be of some use to you, my dwarven friend. -Jess Islanti -
Jess unsheathed Blohdhurm and twirled it around, preparing herself. Then she pulled out a grand potion and drank it. "Let's do it. I need to redeem myself."
-
Jess looked around nervously at the question, then chose her response carefully. "Well I wouldn't say that I'm a champion of either light or dark... Gray, perhaps? Red? Green? Whichever color means 'I'm in it for the money'. Gold! That's the right color. I'm a champion of the Gold."
-
While I agree with your point, I think that maybe you should calm down a bit. This is a calm discussion about the mechanics in a game, and shouldn't be taken too seriously. We're simply building an argument for either side, and stating that opinion. Respect the other players, even if you disagree with them.
-
Jess hesitated, then took the Medal of Glory "Thanks, Hoke. Don't forget to remind me to give it back to you after the quest, I can be quite the forgetful elf at times."
-
Farming? How does a rogue farm, exactly? Just attack weak enemies and hope that they roll a shield? In that battle I was attacking enemies that weren't immune to instant death. Sure I was hoping I rolled a shield and assassinated that enemy. An assassination would've put us closer to winning the battle, would it not? Besides, most players that are rogues chose to be a rogue to roleplay as a rogue. That includes being loving gold. So calling a rogue greedy is like calling water blue. Most rogues are greedy, selfish, and in it for the money. I don't think that punishing them in the loot distribution is fair.

Jess waved a tearful goodbye to Haldor, then stepped off the boat to her own adventure.
-
Jess laughed despite of herself. "Clever. Now can we just get me my gold and items and move on?"
-
Jess scoffed at her party leader's naivety. "Of course I want more gold. I'm a rogue assassin for crying out loud. I love gold! What's more, I'm a rogue assassin that got gypped out of some experience at the last possible second. So I want some more gold to help ease the pain. Forgive me, Oh Glorious Leader, for being myself."
-
Jess rolled her eyes at the two men arguing over something so petty. "Hoke, Guts got to it first. And your little chart... Thing... Doesn't account for those who didn't get experience from the battle. I'm gonna have to go with Guts on this one.
-
I have to agree, even though Jess just went down after having a fairly decent battle. It's been quite entertaining so far! Ognar is quite an interesting enemy as well.
-
Jess groans from the front row.

Jess repeats her attack.

Jess grinned as she killed the sailor and pocketed the gold, then attacked Viking Whelp J from the front row.

Jess grimaced, then repeated her attack.

I would love to see some Canadian football! Unfortunately, I'm just too far South in the States to get any games on TV or for it to be relevant at all, really.

Ragnarök Now Redux - Confirmation & Discussion
Sisco replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Thanks for letting me play, TinyPies! I got power back last night. -
Jess repeats her attack.

I was reading through the Fields of Glory thread, and I realized that Jess left the Fields a level 19.5 assassin and I forgot to update the stat. So if you could apply that in the next round of this battle, that would be wonderful.

Jess shook the blood off of her sword, and lunged at Viking Sailor F from the Front Row.
