  1. Hello, At the moment, there are 200 voters. That is cool ! I encourage people to vote, I will close the survey soon. And I will publish the results. Also, do you know people who will be interested to sell their instructions ? (I think Blakbird but there are other I assume).
  2. The problem with ebay is that it takes commission, as paypal so I want to reduce de commission cost (because of french taxes and shipping). That is why I figure out with a e-buying system with a other own webiste, and I think a site where people can be sell of instruction they create will be a great thing. I am working on.
  3. Yes I understand. I will check. I have checked the price on magcloud and it is cheaper than my current professional printer. But the shipping in europe is quite expensive (13€). It also possible to sell digital publications but they haven't been locked so it's not good for the anti-hacker policy. :)
  4. Thank you for your comment. I will answer : @roamingstudio : the ideas of sell on BL is interesting but I prefer to have my own system. Also, blockbrick sell moc but mine are in technic part so many part are required (600 for a little moc). Sell 45€ the lifting truck (on blockbrick) for a 200-parts moc it a bit expensive. 45€ for me is the maximun price for 600-parts moc : equivalent of 125-150% or the shop@home. Thanks for the links, it is exactly what I am lookin for : a webiste which allows buyer to buy and deliver directly them. It solves the problem of logistic with me on the center. I will check the price to know if it's correct or too expensive. @Dluders : I will certainly not lock the printing. The PDF are locked for : -modifying, editing -saving a copie -opening People will be abble to print if they want or just consult on the computer. :)
  5. Thanks for your answers :) @Dluder : yes I understand, but I think 25$ is a bit expensive. For my supercar , it has 1600 parts, I spend I think 50h to modelize, that is a little amount of time, because I use SR3D builder and it's far from Mlcad concerning the efficiency. For example, before SR3D builder exists, I spent arround 100h to assemble 1000 parts in mlcad, that is why I have gave up of create building instuction (and I created picturing instructions). Now with SR3D I come up with a solution to reduce de time and to have fun with digital building. That is why the proposed price in the survey are not up to 20€. @dolittle : When I receive enought answer to the survey, I will publish the result on my website. I miss this. It is an interesting ideas, In fact if the plan is good, I will put in place a system of catalog of instructions with generated invoice. In order to add, remove, modify quicly an items. So It is possible that other builder could put their creations on the e-shop (it should be a other e-chop I think).
  6. If I well-understand your question : I hope not, I take honesty of buyers into account. Also The PDF is signed with a certificat and a double password. The PDF could be cracked by non-honnestly crackers but it will be very far from the lego spirit of building moc for me and my fans. :) Also, if a person buy the product, why he will distributed for free the product if he buy it ? Regardind his buying, I don't think it will distributed for free, especially if he has paid. @majhqa : I understand your point, thank you for the comment :)
  7. Yes, it's also possible that in future, other mocs will be for sale (from other mocer). I have been thinking about but at the moment, I would like to be sure for my moc and then from the other. By the way, the problem of profitability and efficiency is really complex so all in good time. Of course, the BOM will be free. Sometimes, they will have free building instructions, for instance a low resolution of picturing instruction and in with high resolution (more understandable). Why technic ? Because I'am a technic builder and at the moment, I focus on my creation (for the same reason written on top), but it's a interesting point, maybe in the future (if the shop runs good). :)
  8. Hello everybody, I'am going to present you my plan about proposing several technic product for sale. There are three : -PDF building instruction downloaded -Printed and delivered Building instructions -Complete package of moc including parts and building instructions. Some example : I have studied the different costs I will have in order to propose these types of products. Now I need your help to know your needs and your expectations regarding the price, the deliver time and if you are interested in. I add that the PDF instruction are in HD and high quality, this is not a picturing instructions. They look like my PDF instruction of gallardo's instruction by Blakbird. The complete package is a package including all you need to built a moc : parts plus building instructions. I think these types of product must be interested some people. In order to help me to know more about your expectations, I will be gratfull if you could answer to this survey : LEGO Survey - done in 3 min Don't forget to click on "envoyer" at the end of the survey. Please feel free to comment in this topic, remark, comment everything which can help me. :)
  9. Awesome ! You did a realy good job ! I see my supercar... Great render Eric !:)
  10. Hello everyone, Eric (blakbird) has sent me a render he did : http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4917079 He has also explained me lot of bug with lpub because I have got trouble with. I am working on the building instructions. :)
  11. The picture code still bug so I upload the picture without "Lego" in the link : (maybe fix this bug will be good, many people have "Lego" in their sub-folders).
  12. Hello ! I am still working on the building instructions : Soon, I will start the BI with Lpub. :) ps : picture doesn't appears because the forum replace the "LEGO" in my link with "LEGO" when I post. Why ?
  13. Thanks to delete the rude comment Paul. As I said in the mail, I don't know how to securise the posting on your webiste but I'm sure you will figure out this problem. For you fee, It's awesome, my website cost 50$/year with small 500 visitors a day, but my youtube account remunerate me more than my expectations and cover all lego expenditure (website, set, exhibition). Hosting in USA must be more expensive, so this is you who decide if you sell or not your buildings instructions. As long as you keep up the good work :) ps : paul : Setechnic is not my webiste, it's nico71.fr my website.
  14. It's a good point for me that Paul has deleted this comment. Thanks for your supports, and thank you Paul, to beleive that I am a honest builder, not a jerk.
  15. Hello people. I post here because I have recently viewed this on the comment-list on the new supercar of Paul : After this, I receive rude comment and insult. I would like to clarify : it is not me who wrote this comment. Somebody have stolen my identity, there isn't protection for this. So be sure that I respect paul and his work, I like his new supercar beacause it's a great ideas and great breakthrought. I wille never say such thing like this. Also, you see my english is quite bad, the english of this comment is good. I am very angry and very sorry for this, because now people hate me (since 1 month) for a thing a didn't tell and didn't make and sorry because I don't want to offend paul, even if It's not me who wrote this comment. Paul: please make something, I don't want that appens again. And people please don't hate me, I am just a builder, I will never say such thing like this. Paul : I hope you could restablish the truh. Regards
  16. My supercar is finished : Supercar features steering, suspensions, AWD drivetrain including 5+R gearbox, opened doors, convertible and spoiler. This car was developed on three basic principles : design, building and features. I wish I managed. The car was equipped with a AWD drivetrain, with central 5+R gearbox (with removable top). The V10 engine is on the rear, it’s enable me to place the HOG system near the windscreen. The HOG drives the steering with a 20/12t bevel gear, the steering wheel is connected do the steering with two u-join and 12/24t gear. A bout the suspension, the car is equipped with independent suspensions based on double wishbone suspensions from the 8145 set. As I said before, the car is the AWD with rear engine, therefore there is one differential on each axle and one central differential. The gearbox is connected after the gearbox and after the gearbox, the engine. The central differential avoid wheel slipping because of the difference of speed during turning. The next interesting features are the opened part of the car. First the doors can be opened with two damped shock absorbers. They are placed underneath the seats and are operated with a soft push on the connecting rods, as you can see, the doors are opened in the Lamborghini style. Then, the top is convertible, as mentioned in the name roadster. The top is operated by a damped shock absorber placed under the engine. It’s operated with a soft push on a part accessible in the center of air-vents. The functioning is based on a parallelogram with a lock point. To finish, the spoiler can erupt, with the 4th damped shock absorbers, placed after the engine. This damped SA operated a connecting rod which lift the spoiler. The release is obtained with a push on a axle under the frame. To conclude with the design : it was made with the new panel and flex system. It allows me to use light amount of red part and have homogeneous bodywork thanks to the curve of those panels. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=451861 At the moment, I am working on the building instructions with SR3D builder, here you can see some renders :
  17. I have seen that I didn't post the second video of the working clock. Here : Stil working on, but no time to do it a the moment, I have worked on a escapment wheel with 12 teeth : Afeter replaced by the little 5-tooth gear from power miner set : The prototyp with a big escapement wheel works better because of the inertia of wheel, The reduction qith the last prototyp is 15, so for a string of 1m with a pulley and 2kg of counterweight, the autnonmoy is 6h.
  18. Great ! But I am not sure that small truck is good for stability. :)
  19. The problem also with the 8295 gear is that lego uses 12t simple bevel to pass the torque and enable the rotation of LA, so the axle which turns is stressed (http://www.setechnic.com/Images/NoticesP/8295/059.jpg). Lego has solved this problem after with using a new type of bevel gear : the 20t simple bevel without cross. Then they can turn freely. But the arm of the excavator is really big, and even with this trick, they don't work good.
  20. I don't think we need a special topic to find the instructions. Search "building instructions" or "instruction" on the search panel and you will find. Same thing on BS :)
  21. Hi, I have tried to install the RCX on a Seven 64b. It works but not the drivers of the hardware : the IRtower. So non communication between the ITtower and RCX. The problem comes from 64b windows, the driver is only compatible with 32b windows. So there are certainly the main problem with all old lego stuff. Maybe you can try to install this with a virtual machine ?
  22. Here is my lasted creations : a forklift truck but the smallest as possible. The frame measures 17cmx12cm and it has a turning radius of 19cm, that is very small ! The video : The construction is compact but not really complex, that is why I have created the pro-buidling instruction with SR3D and Lpub4.0, it tooks me 5h (despite it tooks 10h to design). Here is he complete CAD model. Some picture during the building instructions : You can download the PDF and the part list of my website, at the end of the article : http://www.nico71.fr/?p=569 You can also watch flash gallery. :)
  23. Why motorised ? The aim is the full-mechanical functionning :) @rgbrown, you totally righ, the first thing I changed was the escapment, in order to have more teeth to reduce the speed of the main winch.
  24. You can see the complete model here : http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=321076 :)
