And so the SCAM SAGA continues.................. now it's hit Australian shores from a Hong Kong fake seller. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LEGO-Star-Wars-Death-Star-10188-DeathStar-BRAND-NEW-/150656208545?pt=AU_LEGO&hash=item2313cf4ea1#ht_1684wt_1135 Amazing how much they're targeting the Lego Death Star sets !!!! He has x200 of them AGAIN, and for $189.99 Australian dollars let the stupid/gullible buyers get sucked in! -

No threat what so ever with an independent having the PoTC Black Pearl in Australia and charging full RRP, I think allot of people (ie: me) will be ordering the set from overseas any ways at half the price......... because I can guarantee that everyone will stock the Black Pearl overseas and will be having some decent sales just to compete with consumer dollars. -

THIS IS PRICELESS, LOVING THE STORY !!!!!! http://feedback.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=menglan_1970&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2776 -
I have to disagree with your last statement of "so they are agressively keeping things happy for buyers" PAYPAL only care about money and profits for themselves, the only thing this scam had going for it was that 200 stupid people fell for it, but had it been a 1 on 1, or 1 on 10 lower amount then you may have found the decision to have been very different!!!!! Especially since PAYPAL do/have screwed over buyers who have lost money because they accepted the sellers dispute over the buyers (ie: me). I lost over $200 from Paypal because they made the wrong back and their decision is final, so keeping buyers happy isn't their strong point! Making commissions is!

Buying LEGO from other countries on-line stores

The thing is, They don't actually give a reason. I haven't received this e-mail about a NOOK Book or NOOK App, so I don't quite see how that's relevant.. Intresting. Oh well, I won't give up. I'll see how I go with the other orders first Is anyone else getting much luck with B&N? Rest assured your order is cancelled, it's just a general E-Mail they're sending to everyone outside of the USA, because it appears they've stopped shipping most sets overseas and are just selling/shipping those sets with in USA and Canada. They don't give a reason because really they haven't got one, otherwise they're dodging the real reason and not wanting to upset buyers so they 'come back'. This could simply be a way of cancelling the 30% off coupon code which has flooded every Lego forum and coupon saver sales site in America and overseas...... pretty much everyone knows about it now. I don't agree with it and think it's crap but it's happened to me on x3 orders now with different sets, it appears that B&N is either cracking down on the 30% coupon being used or just doesn't want to absorb the shipping costs by sending big sets to other countries like Australia. -

They should be grilled to the wall................ but it's legislation and the government which sits back and lets Australians get overcharged whilst they roll around in the GST tax from all sales. -

Clone-Trooper replied to Siegfried's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
It was the usual US RRP $139.95, so with the 30% off it came to $97.96 which was brilliant........ I restrained myself from ordering any more then x1 as I had hoped I would have had x1 reserved and shipped....... how wrong I was. -

Your all right, the MF has been up and gone, I managed to place an order for one but today have received the following E-Mail from B&N............ it's not good news!!! We have canceled your order 244473669 as noted below. Please be advised that these purchases are limited to those customers physically located in the United States and Canada. Lets hope this "limited to USA/Canada customers" crap ends quickly, otherwise everyone from overseas may not order/receive any Lego sets ever again, why they've done this? Who know, perhaps they only had a limited amount of stock which I hope they fix and order more next time. Otherwise it may be an excuse/easy way out for them not to ship overseas at bargain basement shipping fee's. -

Deal last night was only 33% off, nothing to rave about, which means it would have brought the price of the set down from $199 to $133.34. Midas well take advantage of a Myer Buy 2 get 1 Free as it works out the same price without the added shipping. -

heheheheh, your right, I missed out on the greatest deal of the century........ hehehehehehh Im sure he's 100% legit, I even think he runs a Lego Theme park...... Im just curious to see if anyone will own up to the fact of ordering a set or if they'll hide in a cave and totally forget the ordeal. I've herd that people have already been contact by the seller and have been given a tracking number...... what that parcel will be is the real question........ im having a guess/stab in the dark that it will be a photograph of a Death Star Kit in a nice $99 pound shiney envelope :-) -

Don't get me started on Paypal and their apparent "PROTECTION" program.......... it's about as useful as a condom and just as reliable! I don't trust Paypal's "BUYER PROTECTION" for the pixel it's written on my screen! Buy at your own risk, as I've just gone through a Paypal dispute with regards to a purchase and lets just say im $200+ out of pocket and 2 months worth of Faxes, E-Mails and Dispute Resolution they favoured the seller even though I never received my goods! Sounds familiar to what could happen here !!!! PAYPAL will take your money and not even refund when you've been wronged!!!! After being burned the hard way by PAYPAL I hop no one has to go through the crap I did. -

Cameron_les, your being too polite with your last statement of "You are a braver man/woman than i am", certainly should read your a stupider idiot than i am because those that fall for prices like these are just adding to the statistics of Australians which get ripped off yearly! Before anyone decides/thinks 'i'll try one', just have a look how many he has left........157 as of now !!!! And before you hit that Buy It Now button, go to your wallet, get $170 dollars out and go to the toilet.......... Now hit Flush. Do you really think a "TRUSTED" seller from Hong Kong got x200 SW Death Stars? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease Keep on flushing.................. ADD: Ow my god, just as I was writing some d**khead has actually bought one, please tell me it wasn't a stupid Australian........................ -

Not sure if Myer has anything good on it's shelves around Australia since I don't pay/buy at RRP anymore but in todays newspaper they have their usual "Buy 2 Get 1 Free" sale on toys till this Sunday (14th August 2011). Some bargains maybe found especially since their midyear toys sale really tanked (as did most sales during June/July). But when it comes to sale, you can't beat Myer's Buy 2 Get 1 Free as it's the best deal from any Australian retailer...... Overseas still beats anything on sale handsdown. -

Why can't I get this sort of entertainment to amuse me before a sale at BigW.............. People pay upwards of $200+ to see Charlie Sheen say/do this, but you & others got it for free! Shame no one recorded it on their phone, I would have like to have watched it on "A Current Affair" :-) Bravo -

Hey craym0nk, What a story, certainly worthy of telling your grand kids when they're older around a camp fire :-) As for Toys'R'Us, im impressed you completed the paperwork and walked out with a smile...... they would have lost my business at "Lay-By Fee", something I don't believe in. -

Im not sure how anyone else feels about the state of the Lego box they purchase, but I for one like Lego boxes which I pay money for to be in a fantastic condition/state, if I order them from overseas then I expect that they may arrive damaged or slightly crushed (the risk you take)...... But what I saw today at BigW made me cringe with disgust...... BigW had x12 boxes of the Star Wars UCS Imperial Shuttles on display, but not only did they manage to damage every side of the box with the wire security tag, but they've also used thick reinforced tape to tape up every side so no one can get into the box or for the box to fall apart. Lets just say that the combination of those two items has ruined the box and look of the set, the $448 price tag was shocking enough but after seeing that state of the 'brand new' boxes I'd never consider it. Bad BigW......... Bad -

Hmmmmmmm, so Traget have discounted the HP Diagon Alley by $45 dollars from the Rip Off Retail Price it is....... Im not really sure it's still worth it for the small set it is......... but I guess it's better then the $99 dollars for the new small Hogwarts Castle 4867. So who thinks the HP Diagon Alley is a good buy from Target, considering that the 'sale' prices on many sets are pathetic, better sales/discounts come along at other times of the year anyways....... -

During the mid year sale last year which Myer had the Imperial Flagship, they also offered an extra 10% off so you might be able to get it for $195 which is what I paid for mine last year. Keep an eye out for the extra Myerone discount.... if they have one this year.
