I'm interested in all the wooden based ships from castle cogs to viking longboats to the spanish armada. Skip industrial through modern era to Interstellar based ship sets, and my interest peaks again. The relative land based sets are cool but not quite as compeling.

i can tell the where you glued the the edges of the sail. maybe you could coat the entire sail so that the sheen is consistent.

at first, I though as you did about "rouge knight battleship"(i assume thats what your reffering to?) I've come to think of it more as a fantasy vessle and i moved the wings both to forsail. It looks emensly better. As for duplo pirates, it's hard to justfy buying sets unless they float and then you can use them for cannon target practice.

i will post a few ships as soon as i have pics. a ghost ship known as "The Jolly Roger" , some major alterations to Red Beard Runner also made into a ghost ship, and a fleet of chinese junks

I did something similar but i built mine prior to the official release i didnt like the gold rims anyway.
