  1. "I've spent some time with the Ziegfrieds myslef, and picked up a thing or two, but I dont think I can safely assume I can control that kind of power yet... You are right, being undead really sounds as a dreadful experience... And you say Copper Fox trained you? That man sure has mastered a lot of talents... Still, when the time comes I wish for him to help me train as a Chi Monk, but the path of the Necromancer will remain my second choice. Tell me, having the power over death, can you communicate with the dead too?" OOC: I will not reply to Sarge's comment IC as I really dont see how he can know what Thalion was thinking to himself (he wasn't thinking out loud).
  2. Thalion's eyes widened a bit, "A Necromancer... I've never met a real necromancer before - the study of it was forbidden in the Academy, so we learned only the basics. I figure that darkness would be your primary element, right? How did you manage to find someone to teach you? And one more thing, what do you do with your... creations... when you are not on a quest?" He stood patiently waiting for an answer, trying to hide his interest in what Althior had to say. Thalion twirled Twin Sai Blades and thought, (Weapons as fine as these deserve to have names... What were those foreign words, I've read about that time, for Truth and Justice... Ah yes, Veritas and Equitas! Those will do nicely...)
  3. "Well, for a start, you can tell me what do you do in Heroica? I sense you are an Ether user as well, but you no ordinary mage; am I right?"
  4. "A Sage huh? Copper Fox mentioned I probably would have made a good Sage, but still I wanted to try something different, to learn and experience different forms of magic..." "That sounds good to me." Thalion takes the sais and looks at them from different angles, "These look very nice indeed, and they seem to fit me perfectly. You have yourself a deal!" Thalion hands the Scepter of Divine Affinity to Althior, and takes the Twin Sai blades. "What do you say we finalize this deal with a drink? If you dont mind, I wanted to ask you about the darker path of magic... I assume it has something to do with your current profession."
  5. Thalion turned around and stepped back, "Oh, my apologies, I didn't realize I was in the way... I am Thalion Dwinlas, Mage errrr Sorcerer of Heroica; no rogue I assure you!.. OK, maybe a little..." He said with a smile. Then he took the scepter from his pack and held it in front of him, "My scepter? Until recently I was using it; as I said I was a mage not too long ago, but now I feel I can't use its full magical potential so its just sitting in my backpack. Why do you ask?"
  6. Thalion bowed to the company, "Excuse me gentlemen, I will be back shortly..." He walks to the quest board and examines it, (Hmmm... Lets see... The Ji Pei need our help again, excellent!) Thalion signs up for Quest #75: Falling Stars.
  7. "Nice to meet you." "Ill take your word for it then..." Thalion said with a smile, "Good to see you master Benji! I haven't seen you in a while; since #44 to be exact... What have you been up to?"
  8. "Not all of us are capable of handling such shiny, heavy armors and concentrating on casting spells at the same time, yet... I understand how someone who handles all situations with headbutting, wouldn't understand that; but you should still try . But in all seriousness, I think that anyone who does not take us (mages) seriously because of our clothes is in for a nasty surprise... Just remember Vastin and his friends..." He says with a wicked smile.
  9. Thalion nodded, "Indeed I was; master Benji - over there, Alexander, myself and several others went to investigate the Hovels in search of the small boy who later turned out to be a zombie, but in the course of that investigation we went below the city and to that temple. I didn't know there was another attempt to go there... I agree with you on that, it is a horrible place and I was hoping no one would have to go down there again. But if history has thought us anything it is that people tend to repeat it. Tell me, did you go there on your own initiative or did something happen in the Hall so you had to act?"
  10. Thalion turned to the Nord, "Actually, I was part of the expedition that went to that temple... All of us were stunned to find it so close to the city, but we managed to seal the entrance to it, so hopefully that's the last time we'll see or hear about it. Still, something tells me you may be right, and that it will not be the last we see of it or the demon we fought there..." "Thats good to hear. Heh, for fighting the undead you need the help from us..." Thalion smiles and makes a small lightning bolt in the palm of his hand, that vanishes after a few seconds.
  11. And only some of the people sitting at the round table are knights...
  12. "Yes it is me. Thank you, I had Fabian re-tailor the Robe of the Archmagi a bit, so perhaps now it looks more rogue-like... What happened with your knights initiative?"
  13. After his training, Thalion walks back to the Hall and sees a larger group of heroes then when he left. He come closer, "Greetings everyone! To those who came after I left and who do not know me, my name is Thalion Dwinlas." He bowed, and pulled up chair near Sarge and Brickington.
  14. Nah, Thalion is still a nice guy, you are safe...
  15. I am sure, just a regular 200+ years old elven mage... Thank you, my young padawan. Soon Arnulf will look just as badass as Thalion! (if I find the right parts... )
  16. Yup, that was the point of his interrogations on #64, to bring a little darkness into Thalion's character. P.S. You miscalculated Alexander's Health in the Training room it should be 28/28 since you dont add all 15 levels to it (your first level is your base health). So it should be (Base 6 + Level 14 + Class 6 + Artifact 2) = 28. No worries, he is still there, he just has a new wardrobe, thats all. Plus, this isn't nearly the end of Thalion's development... I assure you, its the same face as the earlier one. And he has no intention of being an assassin (notice he has no poisons, much like De'kra) and he certainly can't harm a fly, but he eats wanna-be-monks for breakfast!
  17. Of course I do, tell me which Assassin can create a lightning bolt in his right hand, while wielding a dagger in his left hand? Fun fact: I used the same (smiling) face for this fig too, but because of the cowl and camera angle, Thalion looks far more sinister then before...
  18. As Thalion enters the Training Room, a figure appears from what seemed out of nowhere, "Greetings young mage, I am Copper Fox the Jack-of-all-trades; I suppose you are here to train? Well you do seem to have enough experience, so what path would you like to take next." Thalion looked the man in the eye, "I would like to train as a sorcerer!" Copper Fox looked at him, "A sorcerer? I think you would make a better Sage, but as you say..." After a short time spent in training, Copper Fox showed Thalion some new techniques, "Your training is complete. I am sure you will make a fine Sorcerer, but should you ever decide that path of a Sorcerer is not for you don't hesitate to come back, I am sure you would make an equally fine Sage or a Mystic Knight." Thalion bowed in gratitude, "Thank you master Copper Fox." And left the Training Room. Thalion Dwinlas (-obelix-) Level 18 Sorcerer Power: 23 (Level 18 + WP:5) Health: 26 (Base 5 + Level 17 + Class 4) Ether: 23 (Base 5 + Level 17 + Class 1)
  19. "The pleasure is all mine." Thalion bowed slightly. After listening to the discussion the knights had he added, "Good luck with your guild gentlemen, but if you'll excuse me, I have some training to do. I'll be back later..."
  20. You can only upgrade weapons and shields this way, not armor.
  21. Well first of all, thank you for your kind words and, again, for having me on the introductory quest to High Kingdoms. I think everyone can agree on this! The quest was an absolute blast, and, as I said, I eagerly await for the next chapter - as a questee or watcher it doesn't matter, the many twists and turns really get you thinking "What is truly going on there?". And while I do have some theories (Wedge and I spoke about them a bit), I wont tell them, I'll just wait and see... I am glad you choose to change Morcrass's name, as Bible would have been far too easy (he wouldn't have survived Newharbour even tough he had no goatee at the time (he might as well grow one now)... ). I am also very glad that you choose to leave Quellir and Eyric alive, as I think it gives you some great opportunities for what is to come. On a final note: thanks to Masked as well! Sumed up in one sentence I agree with Pyro - Quest #64 =
  22. Thalion walks to Fabian, "Good day! I am interested in selling this Orcish Helmet, and seeing how it is very similar to Winged Helmet I think 30 gold is suffice." 290 + 30 = 320 Afterwords he picks up Robe of the Archmagi, "And I would also like to buy this." He hands Fabian 300 gold (320 - 300 = 20 gold) and leaves the marketplace with only 20 gold.
  23. After hearing the last sentence Thalion looks at Sarge, "What? Is that true Sarge? Poisoning a horse?" Realising he doesn't know the new hero he bows slightly, "Forgive me for interrupting, I don't believe we've met, my name is Thalion."
  24. Thalion walks into the Hall and spots several new quests on the board, (No need to rush, I think Ill just rest for a bit first...). He notices Sarge and Brickington at a table and approaches them, "Hello everyone! Sarge, we've only been here a short while but there is something different about you, am I right?"
