Very nifty and stylish, especially the tool shed´s brilliant... and I know what I say, I recently embattled one of those things on my own... man, do the designers of these sheds really think that I´m an octopus..?
-
Simply wonderful, an awesome lot of brilliant ideas and, most impressive, so very well staged.
-
Very dear and a pretty smart idea!

Magnificent, a very well balanced scenery. I especially like the curtains.

Well, you´re the man, but like he said - it´s an Y-wing derivate from the outer rim territories of the SW universe, where I guess a lot of strange things´re happening and vessels unknown to the canon´re flying around in masses... So yeah, basically Mr. mrb18 did a MOC that does belong to his version of the SW sand (or star) box, and I guess that´s completely, um, legal..? Or, at least, I really hope we don´t have any color code book or what the heck for SW creations or any other funny stuff of that kind... please.

Wow, a very neat building with clear structures in a great colorscheme, nice trucks and the sign´s awesome. I like the yellow shine too, pretty cozy. Mmm, Warsteiner... what can I say more... illumination on! Prost!

Congrats and party on! Um, party on I said...and please stop looking like that...it starts to scares me.

Exactly, it was your nasty post I was talking about, you bloody little... :pir-skull: (I hope that wasn´t too much 'pirate mode' speakin´... ) Na, seriously, Grevious, I would´ve quoted your post in detail if I would think so... in this case, you´re just a part of a certain modus operandi on that board (it happens on other boards too of course) which I´m referring to, and there´s nothing wrong with your opinion too. All I wanted to say´s that I´m soo bored by that argy-bargy scheme of commenting other persons likes or dislikes that always rises its ugly head as soon as some preliminary stuff appears on the horizon, and this within any theme at any subforum. Sometimes it looks just like a never ending vicious cycle to me. Of course I want everyone to state his or her opinion in a free manner, but I guess it´s much more useful to just resolve a little the weak and strong points of the new sets according to one´s own personal point of view, so that other people might be able to see them in a new light for themselves, if they want so that is. And if not, well, nevermind. Don´t worry, be happy mode on! (And a special thank you to you, Mr. Bobby McFerrin!) That´s the master plan, especially when the first strong feelings´re fading out a little... That´s a fascinating and unusual approach indeed and a very interesting one too. And I would like to know what and what not this could mean for the new SpacePolice theme... and who´s gonna to play the role of the baddies... SpacePirates, huh? And it really looks like they´re teasing us with some foggy foreshadows of things to come just like with Castle, pretty exciting, isn´t it? Very understandable in fact, although it sometimes seems that suffering´s just a part of G(rumpy)AFOLhood lifestyle indeed... And why not, in the end... just live and let die live on! And there´s a pretty nice young pirate in that Pirate themed brick box, not really an Errol Flynn, but quite interesting nevertheless. I hope that (just a little, not too much to not disturb all the army builders out there) more original characters´re still on the run... Let´s see.

Ah, now I understand... I think... You´re talking about someone else´s fulsome generalizing of all AFOLS being allways against everything at anytime and not about people who simply don´t like the new sets... So basically the intention of your post was almost the same as mine: calm down, don´t worry (and try to read the posts more in context). This makes my choosing of your post to start a rant about people ranting really poetical... in a weird way. So yeah, I really hope they´ll stay around for more than just one year, and it´s interesting to speculate about the scheming of that line.... I guess that one of the benefits of the new Castle line, beside some nice set design, great costumes and simply being the successor of KK´s the well timed addition of new and interesting factions. Knights, skeletons, dwarfs, orcs and trolls, and, of course, dragons, magicians and perhaps even elves... plenty of stuff for several years. With Classic Pirates it looks a little difficult for sure to stay for two or three years, and well built sets alone´re maybe not enough - it needs good plots, intriguing story elements and in general a lot of cleverness to keep people excited over such a long time, and I hope TLC´ll play their cards well. I´ll stay curious anyways. on!

I like and share your view on the new Pirates line, but to be honest and although I´m able to understand your feelings I simply doesn´t like statements like that one above from you or others. Please note that I don´t try to 'regulate' other persons opinions, but it´s always the same old show going on... New pics appear, people complain, people complain about people complaining, people praise, people... Well, you get the concept. People here come together to state their opinions, that´s a fine thing and it shouldn´t matter if they love or hate the new sets. Of course I understand very well that such a sudden rush of feelings induced by new and important pictures quickly runs into a flood of overly impassioned posts, that´s life. Personally, I would sometimes prefer more comprehensible statements and finer balanced analyses as well, but my... The world ain´t perfect I guess. But nevertheless, perhaps it´s time for us all to remember that this is a board for AFOLs indeed, so let´s start to back up our posts with some more substance and to take the rest just with humor. Please forgive me that I abused your otherwise very well considered post just to make an example, Moose.

A fine work, mrb18, in a really great color scheme with some nifty details like these tan 1x1 round plates at the stern. HJR, your starfighter looks also quite nice, but it would be a little more correct to open up a topic of its own for it...
-
I guess that´s not just one big´n clunky piece... look at this post from HoMa at 1000steine where you can see a very informative blowup...

Very impressive... the farmer, these rocks, that stable-like structure, the brilliant water and these neat lung ta-style prayer flags... magnificent. Maybe you´re also scheming to add a water powered mani wheel..?

I think that´s a legend. 1. These pics´re from a retailer catalogue, one out of plenty out there... and any knock-off factory´ll be more than able to get them on their own, if they want so. And since blank copies of other companies´ products´re only working in countries without a proper enforcement of international rights, they´re able to do what they want anyways. To fix that problem is a question of international trade relations and it needs the work of governments and international commissions to do so. 2. Serious competitors´re also well able to get them on their own, but they´re not allowed to simply copy them due to said copyrights. So, to develop at least something similar would cost them much time... I guess they would by far prefer pics and infos straight from the beginning of the design process... The only real danger of sales loss for TLC that I´m able to see and that´s related to the hype for such preliminary stuff´s that kids stop to buy this year´s sets in order to save money for the cool sets of the future... but hey, as if they really could live without LEGO for so long...

ARTICLE: Dino Attack, The Forgotten City Theme
Asuka replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Yup, and just to fit that trapper upgrade our European box arts showed also only some nice jungle sceneries... so, no touch of post-apocalypse to us, more some kind of modern Jules Verne or Lara Croft adventure atmosphere... The vehicle´re pretty nevertheless, and in a great color scheme for sure. And those beautiful MFs... So yeah... peace to the dinos on! -
A Classic Town blog, very interesting indeed! Good luck with that promising projcect... and I noticed that a lot of themes and reviews´re directly linked to Eurobricks... so maybe a friendly link to EB in the sidebar could be a nice addition.

A very nice work, especially with that great new see-through-front. I´m sure that all these poor clone pilots´re pretty glad for this improvement and the number of accidents caused by bad driving´ll decrease drastically in a future not so very far away...
-
A pretty smooth work, Patrick´s rock, um, sorry, really rocks and your town house looks spot on. Your MODs look also very nice, especially Plankton´s lab. Well done!
-
A very neat and clear design!
-
That´s an interesting observation, Wes. And although there´re maybe just practical reasons for TLC to use these numbers from the classic times it almost looks like they´re trying to speak to us: Look! It´s a resumption! That´s what we wanted to do... Uuum... well, usually I wouldn´t care, but that´s just a little too much... and makes me feel so wholeheartedly ignored... : Sooo... Wake up, sleepyheads!! I wonder if anyone´s going to notice it that time...
-
That´s a pretty smooth little craft, and you really presented it in a very entertaining and interesting way. So... the legendary Blacktron hula hoop gun that would be then... simply fascinating.

If you had the possibility to choose a new City minifig character
Asuka replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Town
Well... maybe I´m in a strange mood, but a milkman with a delivery cart would be really cool. Very retro, and very cozy... and, ya know, please give me a paperboy on his bike too. Back to the future on!
