I was just curious did you use a dark blue color or just the regular blue color on the stern. I am asking because I would like to do something similer on one of my ships and I had a little difficulty telling which shade of blue that was in the pictures.

I think that they will restock. And if by some awful curse that they didn't there is always ebay and bricklink.com.

Yeah, I guess your right. I am also not very fond of the fantasy themes and so I am looking forward to the new sets. Unfortunately it might be a year or so before I will be able to get them due to some other projects I am working on right now.

I have sensitive eyes and I got a little sick looking at one of Legos worst sins. Yeah, I found that piece when I was searching over the pirates sets after I posted. Nice piece awful set.

That looks awsome. I love the docks and I just love the whole thing. You did a fabulous job. I also like how you did the roof. That was great.

I wonder if this could be a clue that we will see more pirates. Why release the blue baseplates if you are about to discontinue the pirate line in six months. I just doesn't make much sense unless you are going to release more pirates in 2011.

Yeah, I am halfway tempted to take your advice about the currier. I got my SES from germany and it is in almost perfect condition except I need to get a box for it. I didn't know about there being a section on bricklink for boxes so I will check that out. Thank you for the advice.

Lego has come out with so many Indiana sets for the Last Crusade I can't believe that would just cut the line without making a Grail temple and the tank scene. I really think that we will see more of indiana in the near future.

I think the fantasy theme wasn't selling well. For a while I saw a bunch of woodland castle sets that had the same box art as the fantasy era sets and I think Lego was originally going to come out with those. They were listed among the new sets that were to come out in 2010. I also know that one of the few themes to not get cleared out of our local Lego store was the fantasy them. Almost all of the sets were still in stock. That tells me the the fantasy them is not selling too well. I think the the new theme they are coming out with will sell pretty well. The castles look awsome with the new colors and we are getting some new helmets and such.

I would change the the flooring on the inside of the captain cabin to match the rest of the deck and then I would change the masts to the color brown. I would also change the sails to something similer to the imperial flagship and then I would change the dark tan around the gun ports to a light tan with a blue trim. After making those changes you would have an imperial brig to go along with the imperial flagship.

I have to say that your ship looks awsome. I really like black gunports on the yellow. That looks really nice. I also like the brown flooring and everthing else looks sooooo cool. I would reduce the number of guns just a little bit. Put three studs between each gun instead of two and you would have more space to work with but would still have a powerful ship. Or you could just lengthen the hull and go with four studs between the ports. I do think that if you halved the number of guns the ship wouldn't look as impressive as it does now. P.S. Your pictures are pretty good in my opinion. Good luck the the rest of the ship.

I love the SES and it makes me just sick to think about it getting burned. I would just keep it. I would also try to referbish the sails. There are a lot of different cleaners and solutions out there for that kind of thing. My Mom used to be a seamstress for an antique doll museum and she delt with all kinds of damaged antique silks and other kinds of fabrique. Or you could just try to sell it on Ebay. I think you would get a lot more for it than you think.

Hey, I was just wondering where I could get a good Skull Eyes Schooner box. I already have a SES but I would love to get a nice box with inserts for it. My SES has gotten quite dusty in the last 10 years and I have decided to referbish it. Do any of you guys know where I could find just the box?

They have the shooting ones thank goodness. I love them. I can't stand the none-shooting ones because they are not nearly as much fun. Yeah they got the cool emplem thingy on the top but all it does is just sit there. I hope Lego never brings back the none-shooting ones. Also the new shooting canons don't seem to be as powerful and thereby you don't loose as many cannon balls. Although come to think of it I don't remember my old shooting cannons every shooting as far as some of the other members on this forum brag about so I am a bit skeptical when I hear that they shoot 5 meters.

I was just wondering if there is a place where I could download some of the old Lego commercials from the early 90s. I have been able to watch them on youtube.com but I cannon download them.

I absolutly love you ship. It is awsome. The color scheme is just perfect and I love the details that you put into the captains cabin. I was also wondering where you got railing for the beak of the ship. That looks really good. Again awsome pirate ship.

I would say sue the Post Office's little heinie off but I am in the USA. I would keep the ship. Shoot, I will pay you $50 for that ship and most of the other members I am sure would pay $50. If you really want to get your money back put it on bricklink.com for $100. There, you get more money and the ship doesn't get destroyed and you don't even have to pay for the lawyers.

If you are really into Lego pirates and you love big, 3-masted warships appsolutly. It is in my opinion the best sailing ship Lego has ever made. It combines all of the cool features of the Skull Eyes Schooner and the Black Seas Beracuda into one big massive warship and it adds even neater features on top of that. It is the biggest warship Lego has ever made and it is sure to be a major collectors item when it is discontinued. I bought two of them and when I put the first one together I was so impressed that I am seriously contemplating putting the other one together.

I guess I was thinking of the Interceptor from POTC. You should do what pleases you with your brig. If you want it to be the biggest badest brig out there than put the guns under the deck, but if you want the be more realistic have your guns above the deck only. P.S. have fun.

I would put the cannons underneath the deck. It would look better and if you could have the crew quaters around the guns that would be really cool. I look forward to seeing pictures

Just out of curiosity what is that strange soldier doing on the right of the picture just behind the skeleton? He doesn't look like an imperial guard. Does that have anything to do with this map?

Whats up with the "this folder has not been made public" on the classic-pirate brickshelf.com folder?

I know that this thread is ancient but I wonder if the blue baseplate re-release is any clue. The last time they carried that blue baseplate is when they had pirates sets out about 12 years ago so I wonder if that means we will see more pirates in 2011. Also it doesn't make sense to come out with a big imperial flagship if they were not going to carry the line in the near future. Another thing that seems odd is the "announcement" that the pirate line will be discontinued in mid 2010. That sounds really weird as Lego does not seem to be to forthcoming on when new sets will come out or when lines will be discontinued. The date also seems a little funny. If the 2009 pirates are just to commemorate the 20th anniversary why not have them discontinued on January 2010 and why not have a big gold 20th anniversary sign on all of the pirates boxes. I'll bet you my Skull Eyes Schooner that they were feeling the waters "no pun intended' with the pirates line and that we will will find out about more pirates sets by January 2011.
