  1. Easily the most beautiful lines on a Technic car I've seen. I'd love to get my hands on any instructions if they become available.
  2. Try here: http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=dingraham
  3. Going to have to build one of these for my son. Excellent work at this scale!
  4. The advantage of having a 7 yr old son is I can blame all my LEGO indulgences on him. ;)
  5. My son will no-doubt make me go as soon as it's out. :)
  6. I put a lot of time into this one, so I may have to eventually build it. It would be a shame for it to only remain a virtual build. Since I don't have any other full-size modulars I can have it as a stand-alone display model.
  7. I needed to build an inside corner building to fit on a shelf for some mini modulars I had built, so I designed something the best I could: http://www.eurobrick...topic=86705&hl= It did the job, but doesn't really fit with the city theme of the other modulars. Someone suggested I try to build a full-size model in LDD, so I gave it a shot and here's what I came-up with: I got tired of adding decorations by the time i got to the second floor, so it's a bit barren: The first floor has much more decoration: Here are a few of the individual items from the first floor: I got the inspiration for some pieces (bar) or the entire model (tree and dumpster) from some searches online. It's a very large model, with 3 large baseplates. As-is there are almost 2700 bricks. It could use some improvements from a better builder than I, but I'm happy with the results. I don't collect the full-size modulars so I'll probably never build it myself. If anyone wants to try or wants to take a shot at improving the model you can get the LDD file here: https://docs.google....dit?usp=sharing If you make some improvements I'd love to see them here. Thanks for looking, Greg
  8. It varies wildly depending on the rarity of some of the parts. If you have a base collection of parts like I do you can often just buy the needed parts to put one together. I've built a Sandcrawler for cheaper than it costs to buy one, but I also had a good amount of the needed parts. I usually get the manual to go with the set. Minifigs can be an issue since they tend to cost quite a bit for rarer sets. I've probably built over 10 sets from parts so it can be done, but I've also done the research and given-up on ones that were prohibitively expensive to piece together.
  9. Sweet! Now I know what to do with the extra one I have lying-around.
  10. Very nice, does a good job replicating the video game trailer. Love that Deathstroke minifig!
  11. I went-ahead and built it. I didn't have any of the arches in tan, but otherwise had the correct parts. I used some black 1 x 4 arches for now and since I had no 1 x 3 arches at all used straight pieces. It REALLY needs the correct arches. Once I order the correct parts from Bricklink I'll fix it. Any way, I took some pictures so you can get a real-world look:
  12. I was thinking the same thing about a full-scale version, but I don't think I have the ability to do it justice. Maybe someone else can try it or I might see what I can do eventually.
  13. I've been building several other mini modular buildings I've found to go with the official ones, but I needed an inside corner building to connect them on a display shelf. There are very few examples I had found, but this one gave me some inspirational ideas: http://www.flickr.com/photos/johnparilla/9177527753/lightbox/ Using LDD I designed what I feel is a decent first attempt at an inside-corner building: Nothing spectacular. The back is very flat and probably not stylistically related to the front, but it gets the job done. I should have all the bricks needed so I'll try to build it tonight or tomorrow. 317 bricks according to LDD. Inside Modular.lxf
