  1. An important point here is set size, most of the released Cuusoo/Ideas sets are in a particular part count/box size or more likely price bracket......are their any over 100 dollars US ? No, I don't think so.......any of the 10K's that have a chance are small to medium size with price under 100 dollars US hence anything modular building wise are out. Though Lego don't mind the ideas, suggestions or hints.....make their life easier doesn't ?
  2. Slowly all the stores are getting their shipments in......hopefully this week the January wave is all in stores, though I'm not buying swamp police - don't have the cash for it. I'll check Kmart Ingle Farm this morning on the way back from the dog park to see if they have pulled their finger out or not.
  3. Very nice modulars 'SalvoBrick' and I hope one day maybe you might make them interiors.......but it doesn't matter they are still like I wrote very nice. Brick On 'SalvoBrick' !
  4. Odd, only one of the city range.......which Kmart ?

  7. Yeah, series 9 and 6 are the best ones,,,,,,,now minifigs......any trade ones......welder, house painter, plumber, mechanic, etc.,. Oh, and why......I'm a traddie myself and they fit city better than anything else......apart from a few odd characters to give a life some weirdness !
  8. .......about the train......I it..........dam excellent build 'Barduck' and Brick On !
  9. Oh, just that when I said to tthe Lego rep about Scooby Doo....he avoided the topic and was quite sheepish to say the least. Apart from that no, I have no other intel on SD.
  10. AWESOME realistic WWII landing craft......you gotta love 50-cal.'s eh ? Great work and Brick On 'legofrik' !
  11. Try using a multimeter to check the resistance of the lamps and coils in the motor.....then check on a battery.....though I'm not sure of those lamps are 9 Volt or not.
  12. Try 24 dollars , just make a phone call to a BigW near you and ask if they have them.......I do that quite a bit in Adelaide......lack of stock I then end up at TC......I prefer to spend my cash there. I checked TRU at Gepps Cross tonight......ONE city set left on the shelf - they are a joke aren't they !
  13. Dam I thought that was for Wonder Woman's jet ? I wonder how the second Simpson huge expensive set will fare as compared to the house as it appears an over supply of them now and some retailers have got plenty of stock still to sell ?
  14. And Lego will do the direct opposite to many an AFOL's wish !
  15. Made some changes......still need some parts the right shape and colour.......keep on watching !
  16. Very nice work there 'P3_Super_Bee'.......Brick On Truck On !
  17. Clever use of parts, but not a good choice of subject in my opinion.
  18. BigW on Thursday has a Lego City sale.......29.99 GV's down to 24 bucks.......among a few other sets.
  19. Here's a w-i-p of the above picture.....the tank is different but still Hardi use cylinder tanks. Keep watching !
  20. AWESOME modular, cute idea for a store and dam excellent apartment upstairs.......Brick On 'cimddwc' !
  21. Wouldn't it be funny.....oh, say Lego release a CMF series for Scooby Doo......eh, just saying ? I asked a Lego rep and he was a bit sheepish about the subject of Mr Doo, so we'll wait and see shall we ?
  22. My advice would be to sit with your child and make something together......you put one part on, your child the next, and so forth. A child looks up to their parents and grandparents as guides through life, Lego building is no different......if the child gets frustrated building Lego, then what would your child be like at sports, school work or making friends. Helping him, guiding him in Lego might also help your child in other areas of life. I use that idea with my son who has ADHD and it helped.
  23. Ah, glue......only to secure those string with studs to taps for fuel bowsers and wood glue at that.....it can be scraped off and the Lego part used again. Dear goodness though never super glue......that's madness ! (start singing Our House.... )
  24. Now someone ask why the outer space characters carried weapons.......well, it's a dangerous place outer space.....just ask Han Solo (who shot first ?) ! I still feel the Galaxy Trooper was modeled on those from Starship Troopers.
  25. My family is funny.......my son Lego Stars Wars first, Super Heroes second.......my wife is the oddest of the lot what cute thing takes her fancy and then there is me........city first, Super Heroes second.......oh, equal first MOCing !
