A joke by a designer......funny thing is we want the gas station more than than that huge crane......maybe the joke will back-fire. Though my gut feeling is it's a prototype for something they are planning next year or the year after that. Why, you may ask I have that feeling......simple it's too detailed and fitted out like a regular open back city set......or is that part of the joke.....maybe my sense of humour isn't the same.

It has been decided......Dodge......a Dodge dealership is next to be built.....sadly CITY Motors rebuild is being canned for it though. Any images of old and new Dodge dealers that are in small towns would be very handy....thanks ?

Yep, 20% off at Myers.....picked up a fire station. The tiger has the latest.......official conformation of Horizon Express for Myers but June/July toy sale is when it will be first offered. Town Centre is an exclusive, but no idea yet where.....May is the month when the retailer is i.d.'ed.

Actually the bus on it's own would have made a great vehicle set....though the price point would of jumped up. To truly judge Town Centre we need more images.....those by the looks of it we will have to wait.

I have been wondering why Lego designs such big crane......compensating for something ? Not that the crane in the set isn't realistic but just for a minifig size statue.....yep, over-compensating ! I wonder if next year we'll get more buildings to join Town Centre plus the museum and bank......but that's next year ?

Ah, cash flow problems like mine.....know how you feel 'melbs'.....it's nice so far, but what is the shop upstairs ? Sadly I don't like the shortened trailer at all. That TRU needs to be bigger, but you have the right idea.....I would say make it wider and the floors above it could pass for doctors rooms or alike. Brick On 'melbs' !

Today only saw one thing happen.....the post office was moved closer to the agro centre - so then another building can be done........another Town Centre - this one Canadian ! Keep watching !

Very true, I would have preferred an updated 2005 street sweeper instead. This one has a towing hitch so why didn't they include a small trailer carrying a shovel, a broom and a few rubbish bins ? Oh well, that's what MOC is for right ?

So this is what we were mean't to get back when that TRU vote a city set happen eh ? It must be either the crane or bike shop that eats up all those 914 parts ? I can't wait to see close ups of the interiors of the building.....though I wonder what the obsession is with particular things at Lego......pizza and motorcycles.....wait remember I wrote about sign posts leading to new sets......the collectable minifigs seem to do the same......there is a motorcycle mechanic in the next series if memory serves me right ? Edit - Looking back over the images of the last few days, I see things they could of put in instead of that odd-ball street sweeping tractor.......how about a support ute for the crane, what about a coffee stand or even a post box with mail delivery person....things you would actually see in a town centre ? I still wonder what goes though the design team's minds when deciding what should hit the shops shelves ?

What three year old doesn't like fire trucks.........and Fireman Sam. I have been wondering could the great vehicles series be sign posts to future larger sets/sub-themes......i.e. 4x4 with bike trailer leading to bike shop in town centre ?
