LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Robert8 replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
But that came to happen because of all the LEGO movies. But after TLM2 there are no more movies announced (The Brick Race is probably going to be cancelled at this point), so things should go back to normal soon. I really doubt there will be 2 licensed series per year, for a number of reasons. -Simpons Series 2 and Batman Movie Series 2 sold poorly, according to just2good's sources. Which means the second series of the same license don't sell as well as the first one. Not even Batman could revert this. -The CMF lines are used to introduce new pieces for other themes. Like the S14 Tiger Woman's hairpiece, which was latter used in a D2C set which had no budget for new molds. They couldn't do that with series like The Simpsons, where all the budget went to the molded heads that can't be used out of the theme. -The regular CMFs are a stand alone product, with no sets. But for licensed themes, there are also sets, like Harry Potter or Batman Movie. Often the minifigures are the selling point of a set. If they release a CMF, that might damage the sales of the regular sets because you can get the characters in cheap blind bags. -It's harder to get the license for CMFs because those are considered action figures, and other toy makers might have the license for action figures. Star Wars is best example here. LEGO would need 2 licenses for SW: action figures and constraction toys. -Regular CMFs are cheaper fo produce because LEGO doesn't have to pay license fees. So, with the same budget they can produce more new molds, etc. Also, they can reuse the characters and the molds whenever and whereever they want, like Banana Guy, Hot Dog Man, Chicken Guy, Gingerbread Man, etc who have appeared out of the CMF theme. They can't reuse licensed molds for City of Friends sets. I would prefer if they go with the regular - licensed - regular - licensed - regular - licensed - regular - licensed, etc route. So, some years there would be 2 licensed and 1 regular and the next one there would be 2 regulars and 1 licensed -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Robert8 replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The heck? -
Hi I have a question about this feature. How does it work? Because I was changing my signature and accidentally clicked on "Ignored Users" and there were 2 users listed (@Dr.Cogg and @YoshiBlockr) But I've never done that. I don't know why they were "ignored" by me. Does a user know if someone is "ignoring" them?

14 years old?? Jesus.... He would be the youngest person to ever design an official LEGO set, right?

Here we go again Hello dear reader: I'm so happy to return to my thread for Ideas for LEGO Collectible Minifigures. Especially now that Series 19 was just confirmed for next year which are very exciting news for me of course. It's been a while since the last time I posted a series. During this hiatus I completed 6 regular series and 1 licensed series. You'll note that now I'll be posting more pics for each series, including the bag, box distribuition and leaflet And here is the SERIES L of ideas for CMFs! NOTE. I'm playing to be The LEGO Group here, so I'm taking the new pieces from Series A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J and K as already introduced pieces. So, any reuse of any of these doesn't count as a new piece anymore. ----- Finally, after several months, here are the characters from Series L With 16 all-new, special minifigures in Series L, the Minifigures Collection continues to grow. Each minifigure comes in a sealed ‘mystery’ bag with one or more accessories, display plate and collector’s booklet. While I don't the Joker is overrated, I do think he is overexposed. And Harley Quinn is going the same route I think this Joaquin Phoenix Joker will be a mix of Jack Nicholson's and Ledger's And I agree, my favorite Joker was Mark Hamill

But the CMF series had always had a thread per series, not per year like other themes But I'm no one to decide which thread should be keep. So, I don't know. I just opened because that's how it has been done for Series 1 to 18 since 2010 _______________________________________________ I wonder if there is going to be some sort for gimmick for this series, like the S17 Highwayman or the S18 Classic Policeman Maybe this series is going to be tied somehow to the TLM2 and that's why it will come just 2.5 months after TLM2 series?

Those Doctor Ock arms look like they belong to a Mighty Micro minifigure I dont think that's the final minifigure -
Honestly? I created the topic before watching the video so I didn't know it was all Technic
-
Wow They are really stepping it up with these series My favs are the Vampire/Gothic Girl, the Clown costume girl and the evil Gingerbread Man (lol). There is some really wacky stuff in that game

There are a lot of people involved (TLG, Warner, etc) in this movie that I'm not surprised a huge leak like this happened. But I'm surprised it happened with the 4th movie.

It's on Instagram

Rumored spoilers for TLM2
-
It seems the whole movie plot leaked I don't know if this is true. Sounds legit

Wut? There is no way this Joker became HL's Joker 20 years later, unless there is a Lazarus Pit somewhere Oh boy I hope they won't go with the "there are 3 Jokers" crap they came up with recently

Future Simpsons Lego- Rumours, discussion and wishlisting
Robert8 replied to Legochaek's topic in LEGO Licensed
If we ever get another Simpsons CMF series, I bet it would be The Simpsons Movie 2 series -
Honestly, the more I think about this, the less I like it. First, this is being highlighted as a line for adults, but I fail to see what is the "adult" aspect on these. These are pretty much technic sets. The Architecture line feels more adult than this for me anyway. Second the base looks awful, which is terrible considering they are meant for display. Maybe a brick built coral reef with system bricks would make it better. Or something representing the seabed. Also, they are out of scale (lol) with each other. So you can't build like an aquarium or fish tank for display. While I'm not sold at this first wave (lol) it's interesting to see what else can they do in this line. But this will go down in history as one of the oddest things TLG has ever done.
-
It seems this is a new theme aimed to adults
-
Ninjago must sell like hotcakes. For real... Borg Tower so close after Temple of Arijitzu and Ninjago City is quite suprising. Not even the Superhero themes have D2C sets so close to each other.
