  1. Hallucinating once again, Mr. Knight saw fit to slash at some seaweed with a flaming carrot. Good vig, I like the water effects. I've been trying to do something like that myself... TK
  2. TK to Sgt. Voltio: I have had a transmission from Sylp that he is terminating his service to the Empire. It is him, I know it. Nobody leaves. Kill him. TK to Lord *vader*: My Lord, our engineers have discovered the flaw. Several cooling ducts had been switched off shortly before testing, and this caused the weapon to overheat. It is easily fixed, but I would be more concerned about who has done this... Oh, and Sylp has "terminated his service' with the Empire. I believe he is attempting to communicate with the rebels. Sgt. Voltio has orders to kill him. TK OOC: Don't actually kill him, though :-P
  3. Thanks everyone, and yes Lt. Veers, you were :-) TK
  4. Okay, I got a few Castle vigs I whipped up earlier. Excuse the shoddy photos, particularly for the Tower; black is hard to capture. Okay, onto the vigs: First up, Ambush: Simple, really: Footsoldier is minding his own business eating a chicken (yes, an entire chicken) when suddenly a RAVENOUS PACK OF MIND-EATING SKELETONS launch themselves at him from nowhere. Next, Attack: Again, simple: Skelly attacks small outpost. "Memo to self: Order longer ladders." And Prison Tower: Yet again, simple: EVIL OVERLORD has imprisoned a civilian and footsoldier. With fold-down wall for a hasty escape [see gallery]! Highway to Hell: Guess. Yup, simple. ARMY OF THE DEAD march to war. Oh, and it's a bigvig (we'll tell you when you're older). Gallery of 'em all when moderater'd. Comments and Constructive Criticism welcomed. TK
  5. *raises hand* :-P Thanks Piranha! TK
  6. Tk to Lord *vader*: It appears the weapon didn't go off exactly as planned. As it was fired a bolt in the main mechanism was pushed too far along, colliding with a panel and exposing one of the power cores for the weapon. This allowed the weapon to vaporise anything in the line of sight of the exposed power core. We switched it off but 4 men were lost. The Empire's best engineers are assessing what went wrong right at this very moment. It is believed that the weapon overheated far too much. TK
  7. I think those are Euro prices, judging by the information card of the RGS... TK
  8. Bugger. Although someone on FBTB suggested this:
  9. Oh, and he may not want his e-mail address displayed to the world. ;-) TK
  10. Here's a pretty crappy Series 4 Cinema Trailer: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=L33XBnt_KZs TK
  11. My Lord, a while ago we found activity on the previously deserted planet of Krant... If this was found to be nothing, I suggest Krant as a test site... TK
  12. Oh well, I grabbed a Skellie Prison Carriage at 50% off, so it's not all bad. :-P TK
  13. I make everyone look better by comparison. TK
  14. Okay, sorry for the lateness, in the end I couldn't actually get the damn pic. Basically you have two options: Rebel: Luke's Pilot Body, Legs and Helmet White Hands/Hips PROFILE: Pilot who joined up 'cuz it looked fun on TV. Is now scared half to death every time he flies and is very clumsy (hence the comical X-O face). Weapon: Anything that comes to hand in bad situations. For example, a hacksaw or chaingun. Imperial: Grand Moff Tarkin's body and legs, yellow hands and this head: PROFILE: Imperial Admiral. Yeah, that's it. Oh, except for the weapon: revolver (it fires lasers. Jango had them! ;-)) If you don't have the parts, just substitute 'em for similar. I don't really care. :-P TK
  15. Saw a brand new traier for this in the cinema today (Cloverfield). Showed Catherine Tate mainly talking to an old man, saying "He's out there. I'm gonna find him." and general stuff like that. Also showed the Ood, Killer Bees, Martha covered in oil (?) and Rose. Oh, and the Sontarons (I think, I'm not sure what they are). I'm hoping it will be on YouTube soon. TK
  16. Cloverfield. One of the best movies I have ever seen. I'm struggling to think of what could top it. It's just... astoundingly good. TK
  17. It appears you are correct - the clones do have flesh heads. Just have to hope they're not blank. Maybe that's why we're not getting as much clones? Head printing means costs are pushed up so there are less clones? Oh, and MagnaGuards are the most un-LEGOish figs EVER. :-P TK
  18. Oh, for f- Bloody hell! Last time I trust a magazine... exclusive my backside... TK
  19. New info on The Force Unleashed Offical Playstation Magazine UK and Official Playstation 2 Magazine UK have new shots and info on TFU. There's new photos of Juno Eclipse, Rahm Kota and a droid called "PROXY". Pics should be up by tomorrow. OPS2 also reveal information about the characters: The Secret Apprentice "The Force Unleashed reveals one of the greatest secrets in the Star Wars canon: after the events of Episode III, Darth Vader took an apprentice. But because of the Rule of Two that all Sith are meant to obey - that there can be only two Sith practitioners at a time - Vader must keep his dark charge hidden, particularly from the Emperor, whom Vader seeks to overthrow with the aid of his ally. You'll be playing as the Secret Apprentice for the course of TFU. He's talented in Telekinesis and Force Lightning, but LucasArts is keeping schtum about his name. And that, of course, leads us to suspect that he'll have an important connection to a character we already know. Hmm!" Juno Eclipse "At the age of 14, Juno Eclipse was the youngest recruit to be accepted into the Imperial Academy. Originally commander of Darth Vader's personal Black Squadron TIE Fighter Unit, she was then promoted to pilot the Rogue Shadow, the Secret Apprentice's personal transport. When Vader assigns Juno to his apprentice he is fully aware of their mutual attraction, and we'd put money on a passionate romance between foxy Juno and te young Sith being key to the game's plot. Will this be what pushes the Apprentice towards the light side?" General Rahm Kota "One of the few Jedi to survive the destruction of the Jedis under Order 66, Rahm Kota escaped to the Outer Rim territories. He later returned to capture a TIE Fighter construction yard orbiting Nar Shaddaa. Vader dispatches the Secret Apprentice to deal with him, but during their encounter, Rahm tells the Apprentice that he has a much larger role in the galaxy than just being Vader's lackey." Also, the character of Rahm Kota was originally going to be Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn's Force Ghost! PROXY "With C-3PO becoming part of the rebel alliance, Darth Vader lost his long-time droid companion. So he built himself a new one: PROXY. When Vader recruited his Secret Apprentice, he assigned PROXY to the lad - supposedly to aid him, but secretly to watch over him. A holodroid, PROXY is able to disguise himself as his masters see fit, and is a valuable asset to the Secret Apprentice's mission of rooting out and destroying the remnants of the Jedi Order. We don't yet know whether he's as camp as a tent full of Graham Nortons, though [:-P]." Maris Brood "A Zabrak Jedi, Maris Brood was busy training aboard the starship Gray Pilgrim during the events of the Clone Wars and thus was at a safe distance when the Jedi Purge began. But her master was not so fortunate. His death sent Maris towards the Dark Side, until she was redeemed by Jedi Master Shaak Ti. She weilds two tonfa-style lightsabers during her encounters with the Secret Apprentice, but his success during their battles only serves to push Maris back towards the Dark Side." And yes, I did just type all that out. Phew! TK
  20. I'm afraid I have to correct you there; the Castle sets aren't in the NEW catalogue that was released a couple of weeks ago. Thanks for the heads up, brickbitz. TK
  21. My main 'quibble' with the trolls is the swords. They seem large and tacky - not like something LEGO would do. Otherwise I think the 2008 line up is alright, the best set being the Dwarves' Mine - the battle wagon, longboat, dwarves' catapult and seige tower all seem to be based on other designs from the Vikings/KK2 line - some are almost direct copies. *n* TK
  22. TK to Lord *vader*: My Lord, I apologise for not contacting you lately... I was distracted by a further outbreak of Wookiees trying to rebel. They have also been put down. I do not think it is wise to use Wookiees again. They are causing many problems. I hear Casewindu has managed to capture several civilians for work... this is good. However, this is not the main reason I contacted you... no, My Lord, the weapon is ready. The casing (the main space station) is delayed by the slave outbreaks, but at last, we can test the laser...
