  1. Last lot of pics. You can see White Lightning is same size as 'standard' mechs. The leg assembly. Note the single technic rod to hold head. It is very stable. There is *some* leg movement, but is limited to left and right. Closeup of leg joint. Rear of leg assembly. Head movement. Arm movement.
  2. In the UK, the set seems to be a Woolworths exclusive.
  3. Yes, it rotates on waist. No, it's not top heavy - stands very well with those big feet. I'll look at colours of the Devastators - I didn't even notice the others had different colours. I'm colour blind, so little things like that escape me if I'm not looking.
  4. I had exact same problem - they didn't light up. As there was nothing else in room, I just walked round and round and suddenly kit appeared!
  5. That one is the sneaky one. Right at the start, walk round the X-Wing and it's behind it, out of sight!
  6. The legs have no movement at all. Each of the 'joints' are held together by two or three technic pins, keeping it in a solid pose. Next time I pop upstairs, I'll take close-ups of the legs. On to the additional pics. First White Lightning: Bridge Walker: Size comparison:
  7. on the corner, just before you get to big door C-3PO opens, there are 4 small bins you can use the Force on. This will give you pieces to build a door on the wall, revealing secret area containing the elusive brick. Be careful not to go round there blasting, as that will destroy bin and make it impossible to construct door.
  8. Very nice. I'm going to get round to adding some 'normal' buildings to my town eventually.....
  9. I'll take some more pics this afternoon. Don't have Striking Venom, but will take a few of what I do have. It's funny, as that is an important thing, but never occurred to me. No, I'm afraid the legs are static.
  10. Picked this set up in Woolies yesterday, and as not many people have picked it up yet, thought I would share my thoughts. First of all, White Lightning: White Lightning is a mid-sized mech, piloted by Ha-ya-to. Unlike his other machines, this is a ground-based unit, but shares his standard white colour scheme. The two huge arm guns, plus the gun on top, give him a hefty arsenal. Though it does have a disc launcher - not a personal favourite. It doesn't share the same construction method with it's bigger brothers, and does not come with a light brick. Building it was fairly straight forward, and it looks pretty good, though is not one of the better EF mechs, in my opinion. The shoulder-plates are not held on very secure, and tend to move about a bit. The 'vents' on the legs are very anime, and are a nice additional touch. Next, we have the best part of the set - the Bridge Walker: This is an incredible machine! The reverse-jointed legs are a welcome change from what we are used to. There was so much detail on the legs - half the build time was just putting these two parts together. I also love the black scheme, with lots of clear green elements over it. The right-arm shows off alot of weaponry. So much it has it's own gunner! I love the tubing going from the arm to the body - just looks so cool! An interesting point I should mention. ReZourceman mentioned in his review that the firing missile was all plastic. Mine is most definately rubber. Tha left arm has another huge gun, again with it's own gunner. It looks nice, with the green clear elements in it. The 'head' looks just like that - a head! There are some interesting parts in this constriction - I'm not a Bionicle collector, but I'm pretty sure they originated there. Lots of green too, which really stands out next to the black. The two light bricks here make the machine's 'eyes' light up - very menacing. Also, unlike the standard-sized mechs, the light brick is attached to the unit, rather than hanging loose. My only complaint here, and it is such a little one, is that as the arms have their own gunners, Mecha-1 himself has no weapons on his module. But that in no-way spoils this wonderful set! When it is all put together, the first thing you are sure to notice is how huge it is. Looking at pictures never really gives you the correct sense of scale. And finally, both together: Overall: White Lightning - 7/10 Bridge Walker - 9/10 (felt like saying 10/10, but I'm hoping we haven't seen the best yet...) Building - 8/10 (the lack of articulation and shoulder plates on White Lightning let it down a small bit) Parts - 10/10 (black and green parts are great! And the detail on Bridge Walker's legs are nice) Thanks for reading X-D
  11. It's on top of Slave-1
  12. Thats nice. But.... why is there a skeleton wandering around X-D X-D X-D
  13. Finished, mostly. All levels finished in both Story and Free, all minikits found, all bricks found. Done all 10 Bounty Hunter missions (great fun!) and Lego City. All I need for 100% is to finish Empire and Jedi Super Story Modes, and do those annoying find-1,000,000-studs missions.
  14. Bridge Walker vs White Lightning, and actually found a couple of road packs in a store!
  15. That last one is fantastic. I wish I could be that creative!
  16. Wow! Incredible
  17. Sounds interesting. I hadn't thought of doing that - might be reason enough to pick up the new X-Wing set...
  18. Star Wars is what got me into Lego - I bought the Millenium Falcon 3 years ago now, and haven't looked back. I'm not a completist with Star Wars sets - I just pick and choose what I like. Hardly got any sets last year, but the only 06 sets I haven't picked up yet are the Sail Barge and X-Wing. I'll definately pickup Sail Barge soon, but not too sure about another X-Wing. The only remade set I have both of is Slave-1, but as they are both different colour schemes, and came with defferent era characters, I'm not too bothered about that - plus I picked up Jango's in a TRU clearance sale :)
  19. I'm up to Episode V Chapter 6 now. Just got to run through it to get True Jedi in Free and find all the secrets.
  20. They both sound interesting. As I'm in the UK, I will have to watch it the usual way...
  21. Just one will do it, but it has to hit the door with some impact - try flying in a circle to 'catapult' the bomb into it.
  22. My head hurts now... X-D X-D X-D
  23. Should be announced any minute now. I'm hoping this will be on Xmas list... EDIT: UK Launch Date: Dec 08 Price:
  24. I chose my name when registering for Xbox Live back in te day. As a Transfan, I chose the first part of Ultra Magnus, and second part of Optimus Prime (OptimusMagnus looked odd ;)).
