  1. Some news guys. The release date should actually be January. So for the lucky ones who have the luck to get them earlier (which rarely happens here in France, we usually get the sets after the official release date, unlike in the US, hence the previously announced date of February, it was more likely to be a date for the toy shops release), you might get BIONICLE sets for Christmas. I don't know how it will work, but there will still be combos. I'd like to see Kaita-like combos (even if they're not canonically the Toa Kaita, it would be a cool "easter egg" if the official combiners were made of Lewa, Kopaka and Gali and Tahu, Pohatu and Onua). There will be commercials for the Stone Protector and Gali. And maybe for the whole wave / theme, and other characters (I can't imagine there won't be any promotional media that won't focus on Tahu, he's the main character), but these two will definitely have their own TV commercial. My source is the same as before, you can see his original post here, so if you report the news, all credits go to Exo-6 (but you can also credit me ).
  2. 2011 was the first year we had CCBS, it's kinda normal that there weren't as many original and "advanced" designs as 2013 or 2014. As you point out, there were more creative designs in 2009 because it was the fourth year of the "Inika system", it was expanding, and we started to get something different of a basic Toa Inika.
  3. Perhaps it's nothing but back armor. It's the kind of thing we can expect from a 20€ set, especially since he doesn't seem to use a lot of Technic elements like Fangar, or Furno XL, or other titan-sized sets.
  4. Oh, yes, I see. Stupid me.
  5. Yup. Element, not mask. So why do people think they protect the masks from the Toa and/or the Spiders ? And the set list provided by the swiss shop a couple days ago is a fake too ?
  6. They are labeled as Guardians / Protectors of Elements, not of masks. Unless masks have elemental powers (which would suck, IMO), why would they be called Guardians / Protectors of Elements it they guard / protect masks ?
  7. Yeah, Brutaka is a really great set, he's definitely my favorite, hands down.
  8. Totally agree, this is a far better idea than new shells.
  9. Totally agree, why give tickets specifically to BZP if it's not Constraction-related ?
  10. And it's not only the hood, the roof/windshield part of the 250 GTO is also a new part.
  11. Yeah, I rather expect them to be similar in size to the Creator cars, or even Speed Racer cars. I just hope they will be detailed enough.
  12. So what you're saying is that they're not named Toa for marketing reasons ? Anyways, they can give the name they want to the sets, as long as the characters still are called Toa in the storyline.
  13. Seems interesting, I'm really curious about this theme. It looks like a licensed Racers theme. Thanks for the list CM4Sci !
  14. Wow, very good ! Great MOC !
  15. You can still buy printed parts then remove the printing. I believe it works with a simple eraser, or with nail polish remover, but I never tried it myself.
  16. And now we have only three reviews each year, I don't think there will be more than three new sets per year, unless two or more projects pass the review stage for the same period. So... yeah, I think we'll now get three sets each year, sometimes less, sometimes more. Depends of how many projects get approved.
  17. I love how you reproduced the promo pic pose. It's really good. Eyes seems a tad too big, but the costume is very faithful to Peter Capaldi's original suit. Good job !
  18. Very interesting, thank you Aanchir ! Is that a Wolverine sketch on the SuperHeroes page ? Also, there seems to be a #7 armor on the CCBS page. It's intriguing, I wonder why they never used it. I like the comparison pic where CCBS bones are shown with their brick equivalent. The SH chestpiece looks good in silver, I hope we'll eventually get it at some point. BTW, I like how those pictures illustrate the "layers" concept, with add-ons over armors over skeleton. Very effective.
  19. Well, when this "random dude" is the founder of the french constraction fans community and provided the first picture of Chma Ultrabuilds last year, I'd definitely say he's legit, and certainly not joking.
  20. Nice ! Eleven's seems a bit too thick, and Ten's too thin, but they're pretty good. I've also made SSs, and my Tenth Doctor's Screwdriver is a bit longer.
  21. The new sets will be released in February. It seems strange to me, but I trust my source.
  22. What about "sentient" Rahi ?
  23. This, for example ? Beam Torso 9x10 by ToaLeewan, on Flickr Recreating future sets is boring, time to recreate (possible) future parts.
  24. You should've finished that sentence. Yup. You're right. Point taken. You don't have to be sorry. I totally agree about Tahu. Kopaka seems identical, and even if their arms hide their bodies, Pohatu and Gali certainly don't have the dreadful crotch gap. But when I look ad Kopaka and Lewa, which have the body in a similar position on the box art, I notice that the torso part is more visible on Lewa than on Kopaka ; the black area is more noticeable on Lewa. But I guess the only way to be sure is to wait until reviews. And the only reason I see for Lewa having a different body is to avoid the "clone syndrome" and make each set more "unique".
  25. Oh, I see. I actually didn't read and jumped to the pictures right away. But why didn't you use spare parts ? You don't have any left with all your huge MOCs ?
