  1. I have one each of FB, TH, PR, PC, DA, GE, and just bought a second set of the PS to mirror the house and expand the pet shop... Would love to have bought GG, CC and MS, but came into them a couple of years too late...

    10251 Brick Bank

It is growing on me, I'll buy it, but I doubt I'll feel the need to do so as soon as it is released, unless it is on special somewhere... Trying to work out what the price will be here in AU$, thinking about $250 - $280...

    10251 Brick Bank

That box image is much better, still a little underwhelming... But again, need to see more images before I make a decision... So it'll be about the same height as the PS? Happily I have plenty of criminal minifigs to bring in to do a bank heist for me...
  4. Hmmmmm, it does look small, not at all grand enough for a bank, and I'm very much undecided about the green window surrounds... but I'll wait until there's more images of the set before I make a more informed decision... Right now though, I'd rather buy a second pet shop...
  5. Latest iterations of the top floor, still not 100% happy with it, but it is taking shape...
  6. Bloody work getting in the way of me having fun building!!! Here is my latest image, the beginning of the upper floor build...
  7. Thank you for your kind words Sir Stig! I hadn't even considered putting this up for Lego Ideas, it was more a desire to build on to my modular street... Depending on how this one goes (cost/effort to get the parts, etc.), I do have another couple of modulars percolating in my head... Latest revisions, still working on a few different things, fire escape down the back to fill in the blank space, the possibility of tiling the floors of the entire building, different window arrangements, colours, etc.
  8. Latest POV-Ray render...
  9. That's the plan! Once I've finished the digital build, I'll optimise the build and be brinklinking it over time. Hopefully I won't need to change a huge amount based on the economic need, but never say never! It's funny, the music sign was a complete random moment of inspiration, I had the idea months ago for a music shop and had sketched a couple of outlines, but couldn't get a good sized sign to fit into the shop frontage. It wasn't until I decided to build it in LDD that it worked out, I built about 4-5 different ones, the one you see was clearly looked the best, but if it was connected square to the building, it just didn't look any good... so then came the mind blowing realisation that hinges exist... haha
  10. Yeah, I have been keeping one eye on the prices of pieces as I build... and thanks for the compliment and advice, it is very much appreciated
  11. Haha, funny you should mention those...
  12. Added a rack for receivers and cables... and changed some of the trim to dark red... I like the changes, thanks for the advice Phoxtane :P
  13. Thanks, yeah, it's something I am aware of, I don't want it to be an overwhelmingly grey building, and I do want to break up the large expanses of single colours, but I need to find the right way to do it... I've managed to hit the 2,000 brick mark (Hoping to limit it to around the 2,750 or so with optimisation)
  14. Drums in...
  15. Added a piano, undecided if I should put in both, or leave it as just the black one... With the white one in there, it gets kinda cramped for space...
  16. Thanks for that, I can not read music, so therefore, I claim ignorance! Have fixed it now...
  17. Just overloading the forums with more of my images... lengthened the mural and added brass instruments, left room to the right for a couple of violin cases... now off to work on the register, and a couple of stands for the counter-top...
  18. Ground floor coming together nicely, came up with the musical mural as I was about to fall asleep last night (sorry, when I SHOULD have been falling asleep!)
  19. Still going, hoping to have the skeleton of the top floor done soon... and to finalise the ground floor counter-top/register area...
  20. Added sign supports, probably not the clearest picture, but they are there... That may make it easier to see them...
  21. The lean forward allows greater access to the first floor windows, didn't want it to take up too much of the front, plus I wanted it to be a little different... I am thinking about how to put struts in place to make it seem to be held to the front of the building, any ideas? The ground floor will be instruments:I have a couple of ideas for drums, and I might borrow a MOC piano design I have seen before (planning on building one in white and another in black), plus a few various minifig accessories such as trumpets and saxophones... The first floor will be records and cd's, plus amplifiers, speakers and microphones, maybe a couple of minifig coiled ropes to act as leads... Second floor will more than likely be a residence for the owner/operator of the store... Initially it was to be a music store on the ground floor, book shop above, and either a residence or an attic/storage on the top floor, but I think I prefer the singular music store... Thanks guys for all your feedback and compliments, much appreciated!!!
  22. Second floor will be albums & cds, plus amps, speakers... hoping to have music posters on the walls
  23. Found this topic on a random google image search, looked at the photo and thought "Geeez, that looks like the old All Star Comics store in Melbourne"... Freaking awesomeness! Well done for nailing the off the wall craziness that happened there...
  24. Added a bit more of the second floor, did a hinged bookshelf covering a secret room/stairway... there's a few little bits I'm not completely happy with, but there will be plenty of revisions...
  25. Here are a couple of pictures of my first modular MOC - It's a music shop, please feel free to add as much feedback as possible, constructive or complimentary... :)
