  1. Thanks, I felt that the film would be incomplete without a little referencing. Also, good news, we just finished the script for a sequel! I'm very happy with it, and I have to say it's easily (large number) times better than the first one!
  2. Wow, ignorance; the resolution to all of lifes problems, that couldn't possibly screw up a child. I myself don't mean to be nasty, and I don't know how old your child is, but giving any young, easily influenced child Utopian ideals isn't going to solve any problems. What happens when that perfect world he/she wants ceases to exist? Will he want everything to be perfect, DEMAND everything to be perfect? What if they begin to see that no nationalities, no cultures, no personalities, and all people having the same color skin is best for everyone? Or They can't understand why people don't like them, why others can be so unkind, the poor child can't take the pain, becomes depressed, the world then crashes in on them. Not to say that would actually happen, and I have no knowledge of your own life, but what you wrote reads as a awfully simplistic way of ignoring wrongs instead of explaining what makes them so. There is a tendency towards violence in every society, some could say media and peers, social economic stress and other factors cause Americans to have more violent children then Europe and other countries. But really saying something isn't so, especially war and violence, is bad in any part of the world due to its existence in all societies. Really, in my opinion the more variety and understanding of variety the nicer people will be, I've experienced it myself. That's why I love these colourful Dinos, they have a certain Jurassic Park factor as well. PS: I apologize for stoking the fire, didn't realize this has been replied to already...
  3. Wow, thanks! I assume by Harry's "secret identity" you mean what he proclaimed after Hermione pointing out how he doesn't know what that term means? Yeah, that's one of my favorites too! As for sequels, let's just say Harry isn't out of trouble yet...(That means yes!) Nothing solid yet, but I have unbelievably amazing concept for the next one in the works.
  4. Thanks! The castle is actually just a modification of the official 2010 set, with some CGI cliffs, but I think it turned out great. That's great, thanks!
  5. The dark orange is going to be my choice aswell: link. Both for color similarity and individuality.
  6. Sounds very Dino-Island! But, I am going to repeat my hypothesis: the molded dinosaurs will be base on the scale and style of modern molded LEGO dragons and monsters. It's the best comparison considering the way LEGO is heading at this time. Yes, we have Ninjago which brought the return brick-built dragons, but considering current conformations, it's unlikely they will be brick built. Now for my less solid theory: that this is a continuation of Pharaoh's Quest. Yes , the main antagonists in that series where brick built, but considering it only lasted a year, it either failed to sell or they wanted the sets to be gone in time for this "sequel". Plus, it would follow the "Adventurers'" pattern, and wouldn't require new prints. Let's not forget a contimuation could create repeat customers. Oh, and my last surprise "element". The reason we have not heard of a solid defining name beyond "Dino" for this 2012 theme is because "Dino Quest" is the name of a collection of plastic dinosaur toys. Wild speculation, but maybe Lego is still trying to secure the name, and that's why the product currently lacks a title? Do I sound desperate for more Jake Raines adventures? Because I am !
  7. Well, I'm excited! I'm happy to finally see a non-violent dinosaur theme! Loved the concept of Dino Island, and hopefully this will be an improved version of that. I was never really a fan of Dino Attacks sub-par apocalyptic theme and mutant freak-o-saurs, and I'm really hoping that these molded dinosaurs are closer to the updated dragons in style. Still very much "classic LEGO" in look, but with updated printing, scale, and pose-ability.
  8. I think Lego has hit the jackpot, I'm surprised this wasn't leaked. I'm missing some Batman characters, so this update is quite nice. I think my favorite is Wolverine, easily the best converted character.
  9. The best mini scale Hogwarts I've ever seen, and the most complete any Hogwarts I've seen!
  10. Red Faced Monkey-Lion The most dangerous of all the red faced animals. Also: Rear View LXF file
  11. Wow! I can't thank you enough! I have to admit, this was my first attempt at chromakey, as this was the first time I had the technology to attempt it. The problem was the material I chose to key was a very light blue, and the lighting variation really affected it. Ultimately, I ended up Masking out much of the bluescreen, which led to a cut -out look in some of the scenes. This was especially put to the test when my light broke half way through shooting the Great Hall scene . Though, I think the ultimate effect worked out fine, despite these minor variations. Also, yes, Hagrid is amazing, I seem to remember that was the main reason that voice actor joined the project.
  12. Wow, I love it! What's always impressed me the most about what I've seen of your videos is the sets, and this one is no exception! I love how the scaffolding matches the films, but I also enjoyed how you incorporated elements of the most recent set as well. The fireplace is easily recognizable, and is a spot-on match to the film! Not to mention the special effects are extremely impressive! How did you add the moving candles and the sky? May I add that as a stop motion animator myself, I'm kind of wondering about the secret of this set. I assume there is no fourth wall behind the camera?
  13. Nope. It's called a embedded Youtube video.
  14. The Irony is that this is a forum, but no one comments. Anyways, this stop-motion was shot and edited over the past two months, and it is currently my longest and highest quality animation all-around. Got some help from my pal who goes by the name Adviceversas on Youtube; who created much of the effects, and by SgtGuNshot, who's voice acting really helped pull the film together. Sirius-ly though, I want some comments, and don't call me Shirley.
  15. Thanks to my friend, YouTube user Adviceversas for editing this trailer and creating the mouth animation. Also, thanks to my friend Lucas for doing much of the voice acting in the film, and all in this trailer.
  16. One word: Dark Tan Looks like the Harry Potter theme park Hogwarts...Which is awesome.
  17. I managed to solve one, except it was the first one (# 15) which must of been solved weeks before me. Though the 1883 clue was interesting, but I managed to get stuck at "Young Youths" at which point the skull told me "That's an important magazine!" Was this information useful anywhere else? Also, how does one get into the cave?
  18. I read your previous post on said set, and you seem to have confused two particular scenes. The mill set is based on a sequence in the second film where Jack, Norrington, and the Will are fighting on a tribal island over the key to said chest. You are thinking of the scene in the first film, near the beginning, where Jack and Will Turner fight in his Blacksmith shop. The scenes differ by the fact that in the mill scene it takes place around an abandoned church while the Blacksmith scene takes place in Will's shop in Port Royale. On the subject of Blackbeard, I actually like the "cheesiness" of his Beard. It makes him easily distinguishable as the famous pirate. Also, if need be one could always replace his beard with this in black if it's separate from the hat.
  19. I love the use of scorpions for claws, on the scorpion King! Ha! I'm suprised at the lack of Mummy/ Mummy Returns viewers... AKA 2
  20. Ummm... Here it is: The film involves a convoluted plot where a villain take-over of the Batcave leads to full-city chaos. Without any tools, Batman and Robin must defeat and unbeatable enemy while uncovering a inernational conspiracy that could turn the world upside-down.
  21. Sorry, I was being a bit sarcastic with the whole "obvious" thing... What led me to believe the tops are completely internally powered was the fact that they where a single solid piece. Being LEGO, I would expect them to be designed a a building toy, but since it's not that means somethings up. Even beyblades are built, so if the disks are spun with sort of external force one would think TLG could just as easily design constructible tops... It could also be air-power (blow into the side of the disk winds it up.) Or the rip cord sticks right inside the toy... As you said, it would be awesome for the engine, and in my mind I think LEGO would take advantage of "awesome".
  22. Isn't it obvious? The magnets within the feet of the minifigures activate an internal engine that spins the disk, and only when the figures are knocked off do they cease to spin. As some members stated before, this is not like bay blades or that stupid m#g# Bl%ks knockoff, and the point of the game is not to stop the enemy top with sharp saw-like edges. This means the disk could rotate for long periods of time before any player succeeds at knocking out an opposing ninja.
  23. Wow, I heard nearly the exact same conversation at a TRU in Canada, except instead of "Hero Factory" being the mistaken theme it was some stupid M*ga Bl*ks series. To me, that shows how ridiculous and uncreative of a mistake LEGO has made. Hero Factory falls under the standard of M*ga Bl*ks : a knockoff. WARNING: IMO RANT AHEAD! BIONICLE is a well known brand, supported by a well known story, toys and multimedia. TLG can't just "replace it" like other Lego themes, especially after bringing the story out to the public via The Legend Reborn. Young fans will want to know how it ends! If Hero Factory does die, it will be due to TLG horrible mistake: misjudging the worth of the BIONICLE franchise. WARNING: RANT OVER Though Hero factory toys are simply fantastic in design, and the story may have some potential. The only thing impeding it is BIONICLE's popularity. PS: Don't get the impression I hate HF, OK? 'Cause I don't!
  24. Um, first of all everyone has an opinion, and let's not get too harsh. No one is evil, simply guided by their own wants and needs. For example, the war started with the invasion of the Canadian town of Sandwich, which, in my opinion, isn't very nice. Who would hurt a town named Sandwich? Anyone who hurts a town so tasty? On the other hand, America had perfectly good reason to push up the border. According to president Jefferson it was simply "a matter of marching.". This was an important war for the U.S. too, who where being restricted of trade by the British. By invading Canada they could shoot some guns, make Britian love them and give them all the Reese's Pieces from last years Halloween, and find those weapons of mass destruction. "Rarely is the questioned asked: Is our children learning?" George W. Bush PS: Sorry, eh?... ...Good animation though, but needs a higher frame-rate.
  25. I would prefer only SLIZER style action figures. These are all major action figure themes that contain ball-joint based parts which are decorated with pistons and use nearly 100% technic-style connection system. Obviously this wouldn't be the name of the forum, but Bionicle-style or Slizer-style figures forum would make sense. As a Bionicle fan, in my opinion this is really a Bionicle fan discussion, since only Bionicle or Hero Factory sets will ever be come up in this forum. And unlike other LEGO themes, Bionicle has an actual story. This will be continuing for one and a half more years, so don't say BIONICLE is a dead theme. Frankly, fans will probable be around a long time. PS: At the very least, make a sub forum for Bionicle and/or for the specific style, because it will trump all other themes ten times over. Bionicle is LEGO's pure unique creation, and I believe it should be treated as so. EDIT: Actually, making a LEGO action figure sub forum in the Bionicle-style figure forum would hold more value. Yes, it's not a sub- category to BIONICLE, but Knights Kingdom, Ben 10, and Galidor are dead unpopular themes with little worth in the Lego community, let alone the Bionicle one.
