Action Figure Forum Discussion
the last chronicler replied to Brickthing's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Yws, I am disgusted at the decision to put Ben 10, and Knights Kingdom in this forum. BIONICLE has always been a technic based building system, and both of those don't have true technic style parts. They Both, in fact, are closer to their other counter parts (LEGO licensed, LEGO historic themes). Also this is the "BIONICLE" forum, not the Action Figure forum, and neither of those have any Bionicle parts in them. Until some new product comes out, I think it's safe to say only action-figure based themes with BIONICLE or SLIZER parts should be allowed within this forum. -
These are professional clips made for Bionicle.com. But still very good. There is 5 in total, I believe.

Really? My neighbours are also Canadian. and their neighbours are Canadian... and their neighbours are Canadian... and their neighbours are Canadian... and their neighbours are Canadian... and their neighbours are Canadian... and their neighbours are Canadian... and their neighbours are Canadian... You get the point. Ps: Note the use of "U" in neighbour. Also, has anyone seen any signs of the minifigures in Alberta?

There is a major difference between long and TALL.
-
As you may realize, I dissagree. If you compare the overall build of both the fallen and Makuta, you will notice similar curves and parts. The only major thing that makes this hard to see is that the fallen has a way thinner build. Also, it looks NOTHING like a Skrall. Do you see any shoulder spikes or a long head? NO. Also the robot from IM2 has a nearly duplicate head to Mata Nui. If you look at Makuta Nui in this image, the comparison is rather obvious. You can see the similarity in the curve of the head and the shape of the mouth. I think thats abit of an exaggeration, Tilius.

Just recently I watched the new Iron Man film and I was surprised to see a sort of "cameo" from our good friend Makuta/Mata Nui: Of course this isn't the first time fans have noticed a similarity between a Bionicle and a film character, as seen in this image from Transformers 2: As you can see, The fallen takes on very similar characteristics to the 2003 Makuta. The good thing is Marvel is now getting back at us for using the Iron Man head on the Glatorian.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
the last chronicler replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I love how most AFoLs detest Bionicle because of all its specialized pieces that could only be used for figures, yet here you guys are obsessing over having more specialized pieces for minifigures. The only differences is Bionicle figures are larger, have more parts, and are technique themed, we also have a story. The stretch between system fans and Bionicle fans is very little. Anyways I love these minifigures, the spartan guy would work with that summer 2010 Atlantis figure with the Greek armor. The vampire is very close to the first vampire Lego made though, and the Mexican is cool. Too bad we don't have any shots from the other side, 'cause it's tough to tell what those other figures are. -
Hero Page translation: -A futuristic story where hero factory must regroup the greatest heros in order to stop the attacks of Von Nebula and his band of badguys(?) that menace the country. -A complet assortement of products, that cover all situations possible. (Then something about how it's colectability favorizes the system that made Bionicle popular.) -6 robotic warriors, with there own personallity and identity, a unique medium for kids that identifies them to these new heroes! My french is't perfect, so this may not be 100% correct, but it's very close.

THIS site contains the names of the two large sets. The black guy is Van Nebula and the brown guy with the rotor is...Rotor.

He said A TOP SELLER, not THE TOP SELLER. BIONICLE is still at the top, in third or forth on the sale scale, lol. (from what I've heard, so take this as an estimate...)
-
Yeah, I'd be okay with the lame names and Power Ranger thing if there was minifigs inside, then at least we would be inside the realm of Lego, and not in the realm of real life humans, which would come out cheesy.
-
Age range 7-12, so yes, it is for 8 year olds.
-
most of the buyers are in the 12 and under range. I'm a fan of Bionicle, I buy them. I also have two nephews (Well, three) that buy BIONICLE. So there you go. Oh, not to mention at least a third of BIONICLE fan site bzpower (14774 people), which, according to LEGO, only makes up less than 1% of BIONICLE buyers.
-
They only have it planned for two years, but I'm sure that's what LEGO is TRYING to do. I just think it's going to fail because the concept is too simply for it, or kids just won't like it. What made it tough for BIONICLE to survive was the story was teen-sized complicated, while the sets where made for kids. It was probably hard to keep kids buying since they couldn't get into the story. I think this theme will fail because the sets are better and more complicated then what the story portrays itself as. (Any theme with humans in armor has POWER RANGERS written all over it.)
-
I bet this will succeed, but in the way that themes like exo-force, Dino Attack, and Mars Mission did. It will last one or two years, then kids, and Lego, will get bored of it it and make a new, similar theme. hopefully that theme will be BIONICLE.
-
Sounds like LEGO is trying to include humans in the the new theme in hopes of having a Power Rangers/ Ben 10 situation. Why? Marketing, kids like stuff with humans, or maybe they want to do a live action film? Or this could be a "Boneheads from Voodoo Island" situation and they're trying to hide the true nature of the theme. 'Cause seriously, HerO Factory? NO ONE would name a toy that!
-
So let me get this straight, you like 2001 because the story was generic, leaving some mystery, and you haven't liked it since then because it's too generic. That makes SENSE!

Wouldn't the EP entity possibly have the ability to change tahu back? I mean, if EP can cause someone to change maybe it can also reverse said change. Also throughout the MU, there have been many situations where an object has been conected with a lifeform, such as the Nuva and their symbols, Makuta's protocage and the protoshard, etc. Maybe if Tahu leaves the MU for BM, he looses his connection with EP, the cube, or maybe his symbol..
