  1. I like it! Really good combination of colors and it fits perfectly with the Green grocer. I really liked how you made the coach. Also, good job with the lamp post! As for suggestions, maybe tile the third floor and change the door to 1x4x6 and maybe get something on the walls. Perhaps advertisements and maybe add some plants to liven up the place more Also, if you could add a few more customers that just bought their treat of the day and walking towards the door or seating group.
  2. I'm glad you're amazed. After spending about two years in the making of this colossal thing it feels good to amaze people with the end result A movie will come soon, hopefully :) Just need to get my new lamp first so it won't be too dark. The pictures you see were taken during summer and with windows fully opened. It's kinda hard to get any natural light during winter when you live in northern norway, due to the dark period Welcome to the Technic forums, mate! Perhaps you will visit this part of the forum more often now. Thanks much for the comment and yes, the moths had a spring break, but returned this fall because of the making of the museum, which you can see in the "town"-section :) Thanks much! Ye, you can make about anything with LEGO and in whatever scale that pleases you (or the wallet). I'm so glad I've returned to the "light side" after spending about 10 years within the dark ages and no LEGO building. Wow, thanks Actually there are simply more bricks under the skin, and of course many gears and motors near the joints and moveable areas. Oh yes, that was a long time ago, tho. I remember having high ambitions about this project and I'm very pleased that I was able to finish it, like so many doubted due to the immense size of the thing. When it comes to parts, I have a clue, but the correct amount of parts used is hard to tell. From studying my orders on Bricklink I have concluded that this project consumed about 30 000 parts, plus/minus.
  3. Wow, you've really come a long way since the original post. I was browsing Brick-town-talk and I saw the finished version there and I simply just had to go here to see the rest of the pictures and to comment. Well done, and the details of both exterior and interior are just fantastic!
  4. That's awesome! I remember back in the days at the club when people were showing off their breakdance-moves. Looks like the one in grey there is doing the windmill, or am I wrong? Great details and the Breakdance-sticker on the wall fits perfectly!
  5. A very, very nice city scene! The details are fantastic and the ship along with the cars and road make it very authentic. Very good choise in colors aswell and the small waves next to the boat looks fantastic! This project must have taken a while to complete, and to mention all the parts you've used. Well done!
  6. Now that's a clean and nice looking underground station. I especially like how you guys are able to make the walls bending into a tube shape.
  7. Ah, I wish we had events like this in Norway. Always nice to get an introduction to new lines of sets. I'm so jelous
  8. Whoa, that's really nice how you used the scorpions as arms for this scropion king. This was a perfect match! Great work and it looks very anatomically correct (even tho it's a fictional being).
  9. Welcome to Eurobricks, Stephen!
  10. Welcome to EB! Hope you enjoy your stay here! :)
  11. Thanks much! It's amazing how much these motors can handle once you gear them down lot, and the torque can sometimes be so great that technic liftarms and axles bend or even break. Wow, how on earth were you able to tell what I was holding on that picture? I can barely see it myself nor remember what it was
  12. Thanks much! To your question . . . the answer is both yes and no. It has a structure inside to stiffen it up and the technic bricks are built around it in a layer like setup. It's not hollow, but it has empty spaces inside. Don't know if that answered your question very well, but hope you understand what I mean.
  13. Thanks guys That human is actually me
  14. That's so amazing. To be honest, at first I didn't think it was made of LEGO's :P Very uniqe!
  15. My, my - what a wonderful creation. I am shocked by all the details on this ship. I really enjoyed spending some time to admire the details. This thing is massive as well as really huge! And well done with the propellars and ludders (steering)!
  16. Many thanks for your wonderful comments, everyone! They are much appreciated! Wow, thanks :) I'm trying to be modest, but I wouldn't say no to have PAHAB on the frontpage. Thanks much! I must admit I had a hard time to get enough of the parts I needed, and I also noticed a decline in stock after a while ;) A video will definetely be posted in the near future. Well, to put it blunt. The motors aren't coping very well. Even after gearing them down a lot, the motors are still being stressed. But - the arms are functional The legs supports the whole structure and the torso is resting on a gear system including four technic turntables. I first thought this to be impossible, but it maintains a pretty good balance. Even with all that weight. And yes, it stands by itself without any support from brackets or wall/roof attachment. Only the knees are motorized and utilizes two linear accurators on both knees.

    WIP: Museum

Many thanks for your wonderful comments both here and on Brikkelauget! Oh, and those LED-lights I picked up from you today works wonderfully! If I have the time tomorrow I will definetely install them into the building. And also thanks for the idea about making a chandelier above the staircase. As for photos of the backside of the building... It will come :) I'm still missing way too many parts to let you guys see it :P Much appreciated! Thanks much! Thanks much! Ah! A very good idea indeed! I'll see what I can do about it :)

    WIP: Museum

Thanks much! I was thinking instead of just placing them on the shelf and let them dust that they would fit perfectly inside a museum Wow, this means a lot to me to hear Thanks much! You're right. This is not a true museum without the variety to artifacts, and there will be more to come in time Thanks much! Yeah, even the collectible minifigs needs a home :)
  19. Hello everyone! Some of you might have seen this already from my "hello"-post, but for the rest of you, here it is Quote from the OP: The Mindstorms unit controls the head (eyes, mouth and neck). It has two programs in one, that use variables so they won't fire simutanously. The first program is listening for sounds over 90 dB. If it detects anything, it will make the robot scream (mouth go up and down). He will then turn his neck and eyes to either side and in the end center and say "aha" (like he understands that it was just him being skiddish :P ). The second program utilizes the US-sensors on the torso to look for obstacles. If it detects anything on either side, its eyes will move to that side and it will say which side is blocked. If both sensors are blocked, then it will simply just say "obstacle" and the eyes will remain centered. As for time spent building, I must admit this has taken quite a while. Actually somewhere around two years, with building breaks counted in for. The thing is collossal, and has more than 30,000 pieces (I lost count after a while, but roughly 30,000 from going trough my bricklink orders). As for the arms. They are remotely controlled using PowerFunction IR-sensors. The plan was to buy an IR-link and let the Mindstorm unit control the arms aswell, but I haven't got around to buy one yet. Anyway - hope you enjoy!
  20. yeepiie-ka-yay! Wow, now that's what I call a action movie! Not much stop and go, but go-go-go all the way. I especially liked the sniper guy and that you put the POV inside the sniper scope! Great use of focus/defocus on the active minifigs!
  21. This really gives me the feeling of christmas (not that I'm a heavy drinker, tho. haha). The interior is great as well is the exterior. The lamp posts looks astonishing! As for suggestions, have you tried switching the light blue walls for white? Not that it's wrong with blue, of course. Other than that, it looks very rustic and authentic!
  22. Welcome to EB! Wow, from looking at your moc (the shuttle) I can see you've put a lot of effort and time into it. Great job with all the details!
  23. Welcome to the boards, Maciej! I'm sure you're going to enjoy your stay here!
  24. Welcome to Eurobricks! Nice having you aboard! :)

    Luau

That's some nice work. I can't stop laughing at the guy with the glasses in the middle. He looks so confused, just like a tourist would. Again, great work! :)
