  1. I gotta agree, that new clown is really the first collectable minifig that I plain don't like. It's a shame because I still call this series the best since series 1; great selection, lovely models, fantastic parts, but the clown just doesn't do it for me. My favourite is the boxer. I'd also like to see him get an opponent, but this guy already has all the equipment so the blue guy'd almost be a clone. There are enough complaints about Snowboarder mk.II and Skater Beta but those at least look substantially different. Best case scenario, he'd come with an actual belt part that's attached between the legs and torso.
  2. No, YOU could be right. The big photo of all sixteen on their stands conveniently places the Gangster right beside the Fitness Dancer and the violin case seems to be a bit smaller than the radio. I've also studied the video and the thing on the bottom of the case looks too narrow to fit studs. So now I'm leaning towards it being a hinge.
  3. Fantastic job! They look perfect. Don't forget the Sumo torso for a third one set during his retirement....
  4. More likely that the violin case is essentially the same as the radio, with a stud on either side of the handle and 1x4 slot on the bottom. It just has the neck of the case sticking out at the end, kept well above any studs on the ground.
  5. Thanks for that! I hope these aren't too expensive because the microfigure count is quite high (Fortaan now holds the record - Sorry, Ramses!). I've never seen the drawbridge chain parts before, are those new, or are they from the darkest depths of Technic? The little brick-built chair in the nearest corner of Fortaan is very cute. I also spot a gray frog on the fountain. Overall, that's a nice set for parts.
  6. He just has one. I don't own the fig but WhiteFang would have mentioned something in the review if he had two. I hadn't seen that thing on the website, very cute joke :)
  7. It's admittedly a thin line, but Eurobricks isn't hosting those pictures, it's just linking to them. Eurobricks is complying with TLG, it's up to the page being linked to to remove them.
  8. I'd definitely love to see Roman senators down the line. And a Ceasar, obviously. Apart from Castle, every time TLG goes near a historical theme - Pharaoh's Quest, NinjaGo, Atlantis - they've "tainted" it with a heavy action skew. I wouldn't trust a mainstream theme with doing Rome justice, but a nice minifigure in every series or two would be perfect.
  9. Is there any chance of stickying the trade thread? Since people can only post in it once, it's eventually going to sink. It's the last thread on the page as I type this.
  10. A belated +1 to broomhandle, cheers!
  11. It was a specific type of gladiator. There was half a dozen or so mainstream disciplines. I think the theory is that if everybody calls him "Murmillo" instead of "Gladiator" then TLG will be pressurized into making the other kinds.

  13. I really can't picture the release of a new series of these guys without an accompanying WhiteFang review. Excellent job as always!
  14. What sources are there, exactly, that says Series 5 will be the last? Brickipedia doesn't list any.
  15. Did they ever say that? Cuz as has been pointed out, some of the molds have already been used again elsewhere.
  16. As the person who made that review, nope, this is the first comic I've ever seen in a Game. I also have Frog Pond and Ramses Return, as well as all the older ones. Very spiffy, thanks for sharing! This game isn't available locally but I'm planning to get it from Amazon soon.
  17. That's not a NinjaGo skeleton, that's a fantasy castle skeleton.
  18. *shakes fist at cloud outside window* Damn you, cloud!!!! But congrats to those who actually did win!
  19. Neither Lunar Command nor Meteor Strike were widely available in Ireland. It may be a different story on the continent, but Lunar Command was only available through Amazon for me, while Meteor Strike was a Tesco-exclusive. They can't be basing their decision off popularity because the distribution prevents them from measuring that....
  20. That's due for release in March in the States, along with Pirate Plank. Maybe one or two others, I'm not sure. Seems like you got a week or two's head start
  21. Nope, not yet. When they are, it'll either be done in the Raffle thread or given its own thread. Either way, there'll be an explosion of posts in that thread so you won't miss it, and possibly a frontpage mention too.
  22. Very cool, nice spot. It's using this alphabet, I think:
  23. Wow, I like the ghost. I use the microfigs as wall and pillar carvings a lot and the only other tan one is a pirate. Flicking through PaulNomad's album, here's a very nice shot of the new weapons: It also seems that the wierd names like Fortaan, etc. are Danish? Does anybody know? The boxes all have regular English names like Castle, Haunted Forest etc.
  24. Collect Four: Ramses' minimummies finally track down the loot stolen from his pyramid, but there's a slight logistical problem.... I'd really wanted to do something a little more creative than this but it would have taken me forever to unpack and then repack everything. Sorry!
  25. TLG'd never ask people to apply a sticker to a rounded surface like the helmet anyway, those parts are always printed. Otherwise the sticker itself would have to be curved.
