I wanted to ask if you think I got a good deal. I found set 565 at a garage sale on Sunday for 8 dollars. It was complete with instructions and a box in very nice condition. It was only missing a clear 1 x 1 round brick. The bricks had great clutch power and had absolutely no dust. The sticker sheet was partially used. Did I get a good deal?

I'm not really digging those flowers, but otherwise it does look nice. Dark grey, red, and black are nice also. I saw one the other day but I can't find it again.

Thanks for the link to that site. I think it will help. I think I will have to consider Alitalia. It has very nice colors. I do realize that retro paint would be harder, but it looks nicer so I am willing to try it out. Thanks for the help guys.

I'm building a plane right now and I wanted to ask for some livery ideas. I really like the retro colors and former liveries used by many airlines. The thing is, there are so many. I don't know where to start. If someone could point the way to a helpful directory or something of the sorts, it would greatly be appreciated.

That looks really nice so far. It's going to be an excellent loco.

Doe anyone know how to make the "cheese nose?" Here's a couple examples: Swoofty: http://www.flickr.com/photos/swoofty/2820235490/ Gerrit Carstensen: http://www.flickr.com/photos/35035757@N06/3596580944/ Any help is appreciated!

Wow! Great layout. I wish I had the track to do things like this. That would be pretty awesome.

Earlier today, while browsing through some train mocs, I realized something. I haven't seen a 6-Wide Super Chief MOC using newer parts and more complicated techniques to make a more detailed and accurately sized consist. Are people scared to remake it? I understand that maybe since it has already been made, people may think that there is no need to redesign it. I disagree. Personally, I feel that a more detailed train can be designed using ideas from swoofty's Locos and SAL carriage set. I would like to say I own the actual locomotive set, but without the carriages. I may have to design a new version myself. Has anyone else thought about this?

Thanks for the kind reply. I'm glad you like it. I'm curious to see what you did for the OTM Tracker. I don't remember seeing that moc.

I know this has been done before, but I wanted to share my version of a gondola using the Minifig Stand Part. The pics are very large, so I"m going to link to them. (My re-sizer screwed up the proportions.) General View And a close up of the ends. The trucks are built using these instructions by Cale Leiphart. Obviously, it's missing the wheels. C&C welcome Edit: Oops, almost forgot. The LXF is in the Gallery.

I'm not sure if this is news or not, but according to the March Club Magazine, 4206 is a Walmart exclusive.

Alright, I guess I need a pump. I won't be able to get any pictures up because there is something wrong with my camera. -

The grab bag was 8 dollars. Unfortunately, I think I didn't get a pump. That's the one with the spring, right? -

That's really helpful! BTW, I have 2 big cylinders, 1 little cylinder, what I'm guessing are switches, an a whole bunch of tubing. -

Thanks for the help. I think I'm going to need to buy some technic parts and experiment with pneumatics. -
Can someone tell me what pneumatics are used for in Lego? Also, what are some tips on how they can be used. I just got a bunch in a grab bag along with a M motor and a battery box. Thanks.

That sucks. I was really hoping to get this version. Anyway, I just saw a Captain America and a Wolverine Minifig on eBay. It look s like there are definitely no wings.

A few pages back, there was mention of an alternate version of the Riddler. Do we know what it's for?

I don't have a permanent layout yet, but I'll probably try that foil idea for my wip city. Right now I only have a bit of 9V track. I really need to buy a PF train that comes with track.

Thank You!
