Your favorite part of building a set?
charlieboy replied to 1980-Something-Space-Guy's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Oddly my favourite part is hunting the parts down before building! I really enjoy spending hours on Bricklink finding instructions, mainly old space stuff. I have a massive collection of parts that I sift through first them move on to Bricklink to find those odd parts that I dont have. Obviously building the set afterwards is fantastic knowing that ive spent so much time collecting the parts rather than just buying the set outright. Im often amazed at the amount of sets ive built from my spares box alone! -
Cant help but think Lego really couldnt be bothered with this set. Aside from the Yoda figure, the rest have just been slung into the box to fill space! A black minifig head for the clone, a blank helmet for the rebel pilot and a few useless random parts and super dull minifigures means i'll be spending my hard earned on something different this year! Im off to check out the city one

I couldnt decide between Classic space,Blacktron,Futuron,Space Police or M:Tron so I voted for them all! These themes were all out when I was a kid so I have many of the sets however a modern revamp of any of them would be awesome (Maybe not SP3 as they aren't long finished) I'd have to say the other space themes on your list have been overlooked by me, I guess as I missed them all they dont really have such a nostalgic feel as the others do?

Your first minifigure?
charlieboy replied to 1980-Something-Space-Guy's topic in General LEGO Discussion
The first minifigures I remember owning were the classic space chaps- Had many of these, I still remember the christmas I unwrapped 6970 Beta I Command Base, I couldnt build the space station but did all the minifigs -
Welcome to Eurobricks! Great pics and enjoy the forum

Both my huge local Asda stores had shelves full of these at the regular price, I asked why some stores had them with such large discounts and was told they had no idea! Its very annoying when the same stores do not run the same sales

Continuing my Space Police 1 buying spree, bought this little ship on Bricklink today.

Least Successful Collectable Minifig
charlieboy replied to Mr. Elijah Timms's topic in Special LEGO Themes
S1 Nurse-Very dull to look at, ok she came with a hyperdermic needle but otherwise I just bought her to complete the set. S2 Traffic Cop-Again he's not the greatest looking guy and only bought this chap to make my collection look complete! S3 Tough one this,if I had to say one I think it would be the pilot. S4 Street Skater-Did we really need a second one? I think not! S5 Dwarf- Could have come straight from the fantasy era sets, not special enough. Whilst the five i've listed aren't my favourites I still own all of them! Yes they have flaws in the series but just looking at what everybody else has put shows we're all different and each fig has a different value to each of us. Roll on S6! -
Went to see Harry Potter DH part 2 today. It was an awesome film and a great ending to an incredible story. Sadly once again they missed parts of the book out but even so it gets a 10/10 from me.

I'd go with the Town forum in the themes section

LEGO 10220 Volkswagon Camper Van
charlieboy replied to I Scream Clone's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I love my VDubs so this is a must buy set for me however I prefer my busses a bit closer to the ground so a bit of jiggery pokery in the suspension department will hopefully have it sitting like this- Infact I may even buy two and make a replica of that one ^^^!!! -
You could have popped in for a cuppa mate! Had a bit of luck on Ebay earlier this evening, I won this little set for £7! Didnt think i'd win it as its boxed etc...with my little bid but lucky me!

Oooops! Sorry! In my defense I do live several thousand miles away from Wisconsin

When you say 'give' do you mean for free? If so you have no chance! The Batman figs sell for good money on here,Ebay and Bricklink so to get one for free is going to be a challenge I would say!

Welcome to Eurobricks! Are you aware of www.bricklink.com? It's a website that has hundreds of sellers worldwide selling thousands of parts. There will be sellers in your country too! Buying the UCS sets for parts could work out expensive when you add shipping, have you tried getting it from Germany or elsewhere in Europe?

Welcome to Eurobricks! Your plan to build an entire minifig scale replica of your town sounds like a huge project! How big is the town itself? Good luck with it and post lots of pics of both the moc and the real thing for us to compare the two
