    Is this the first car transporter gang car to use wide tires in the front and have a steering system?

    Indeed, the axles are rounded and there's also another important fact. All LEGO parts are usually 0,1 mm thinner from (almost - doesn't apply for height for studded parts) every direction from the ideal 8 mm grid raster. That means a normal pin is around 15,8 mm long. Same applies for beams which are actually even thinner from top to bottom dimension in order to be compatible with studded plates - especially the LEGO logo.

    I remember Zoli on Brickshelf making some huge supercar transporters, but I can't find them right now due to issue with accessing Brickshelf.

    Unofrtunetely I will not be posting many more MOCs since I'm moving to Denmark in a few months. Having said that, i have been working on a LEGO Technic building techniques book, so I'm hoping I can finish that in time before the big move!

    Square cube law says no. Going from 1:8 to 1:6 means models are some 2,5x heavier and you start to experience issues with supporting such weights.

    ACTUALLY, a stud is around 4,85-4,90 mm. But yes, they are spaced 8 mm apart which is the LEGO's basic's grid.

    That's a really awesome set, perfect for family, team building, LUG gatherings and competitions, etc... Reminds me of old 4 in 1 sets, very nostalgic.
