Hi Stu83, the MPD is now complete thanks! That is a great looking train too! What you can also do, is ask LDD creators if you may convert and complete their models as well. I have done this in the past and managed to save a lot of time that way (at least for new sets...but not so much for the old). I will make a GIF of your station this weekend. In the mean time here is another model I made a long time ago. 6388-Holiday Home: LDR I think it is 100% complete.

Unfortunately it isn't in the mpd for some reason either could you double check that it saved properly? Thanks! Here is my first LDR upload. I made it after a request from a BlueBrick user. 1854-VELUX Promotional Set House: LDR Errors Velux logo not on flag Windows have too many lines Mail box rotated by 90 degrees (this is to conform with some BlueBrick guidelines not sure if it is really an error though)

Hi Stu83, could it be that you uploaded the wrong ldr? The one which the link leads to does not include the Taxi. Thanks!

Hi Stu83, I was going to make the BlueBrick GIF for your model today but noticed there were a few things missing (realized later you had mentioned that in your post as well). This I think is also relevant to "legolijntje"'s point about complete sets. There were a couple of BlueBrick guidelines we agreed on a while back, but you wouldn't know that unless you had managed to read through almost 2 years worth of posts. 1. Minifigs: For Bluebrick GIFs we always try to include the minifigs (as close as possible to those in the set), to complete the set and also create some "action" in the scene. 2. Vehicles: we also always try to include the vehicles (for completenes and sometimes action) I have already added the minifigs, the updated LDR is here. You can take it, add the car (top right corner would be best), and replace it with the current LDR you have on your Brickshelf account. Thanks so much for this, and any other contributions you will make to support both the LDraw and BlueBrick formats. Please complete the other sets you have started too Let's continue any other BlueBrick discussions in the BlueBrick thread. I will be adding my LDRs here as soon as I can.

Hi Section8. Once I saw how small set 1854-VELUX Promotional Set: House was, I went ahead and made it for you. You can get the GIF and XML on the Bluebrick parts tracker page. I hope you like it. Looks like the girl has just got a letter and there seems to be a reason to celebrate (perhaps it is the fact that I am making GIFs again) I have also uploaded set 6387-Coastal Rescue Base which I realized I had never uploaded... and the 6395-Victory Lap Raceway for which the LDR file was donated by Jerome Boulanger. Unfortunately I am having problems uploading the XML for that one, but will do so ASAP.

Hi! That is absolutely fantastic! Thanks so much for supporting both the use of MLCad and the development of the BlueBrick GIFs. :) I have been working on BlueBrick GIFs myself today and will also upload my LDR files here at some point. Thanks again!

I can't believe it. All the positive comments and the activity in this thread (that I have missed out on over the past months), had me thinking of Lego most of the day. I started sorting out my GIFs and XMLs as soon as I got back to the hotel (I am well behind with the XMLs), and I think there are quite a few GIFs that are in progress and I never finished/uploaded(unfortunately none of them are on the recent lists of request). I finished this one this evening. I won't be posting anything more until the weekend though (and those posts will probably only be the long overdue XMLs) . 6379 Riding Stable: GIF

Hello all, sorry I have not posted any updates here for so long however due to work commitments I simply no longer have the time to contribute (adding all the days together I have been home 3 weeks so far this year...and that won't improve until September). Hopefully things will ease up during the second half of the year. Frogstudio, it really would be best if you could contribute some of the images yourself. Unfortunately we are very low on contributors at the moment, so it is really great to see that Rumpelmuck is back. MLCAD is not difficult to install or use and I really would ask anyone who is using that software to help contribute or post their LDR files in the dedicated Eurobricks thread so that a BlueBrick contributor can make the necessary GIFS. Please spread the word!! Section8, the "sail and fly marina" is on my list too as it is also one of the last GIFs missing from my layout. If I have the time I will start working on it. Right, 1AM local time... time for bed. Thanks everyone for sharing all those positive reactions concerning this software! I will contribute again as soon as I can.

Hi you guys. Unfortunately, I do not believe that a revised MAC version is on the way. I take it the method described on the BlueBrick site didn't work? All update information will be posted on the actual dedicated Eurobricks, BlueBrick thread. I will be in touch as soon as I have news (and some new GIFs). All the best!

Hi everyone! First of all I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas. I hope Santa will surprise you with many of the sets that are on your Christmas wish list. I just saw this thread and I would like to thank you guys for supporting and using BlueBrick. I apologize again for not providing many GIFs this year but I will do something about that during the next few weeks. I am also planning to have a chat with Alban soon concerning the next BlueBrick release. Hopefully we will be able to provide you with a new version in the very near future. All the best!

Hello all, thank you so much for you positive comments It is my first "arty" venture into Lego and it was a lot of fun. Reading your reviews last night motivated me to spend a few hours working on my latest MOC (still in MLCad at the moment). I am planning on getting that done before the summer (a very large house with interior and detailed garden...which happens to be a gift..again..) I am glad you guys like the baby. The baby technique is not new however so I can not take credit for that (although it is definitely the first baby spidey I have seen) . The techique can be found regularly on various Lego sites but I would not be suprised if it was inspired by one of my favorite builders, brickshelf user "mijasper". I haven't seen the forced perspective done like that before though and I am quite pleased with that. I would love to hear more of your comments including constructive criticism. This vignette was a lot of fun and I don't think it will be the last. Ideas for improvement and new techniques are welcome!

Hello all. It has been almost 1.5 years since I built my last MOC but now things are slowly picking up. I made this Lego vignette as a gift for friends who recently had their first child. An anomaly in the image of the ultra scan a few months ago, made the child's eyes appear as if he was wearing a Spiderman mask. As the parents had not decided on a name at the time, he was nicknamed "Spidey". The theme of the vignette is based on this, and the fact that they live in Boston. The two landmarks I included are the George Washington statue which can be found in the Boston Public Gardens, and the Federal Reserve building which can be seen in the background. I tried to create a "forced perspective" with the latter by putting it into and behind the clouds, as well as putting some other parts in front of it. The gift comes with a card which has a picture of the vignette and shows the thoughts and voices of the characters in the scene. In the main scene we have baby Spidey riding on Judge (the family Mastiff), chasing his first villain (and making a mess of the town). The parents are looking proudly on although the father is also wondering how he will ever get his son to join the Red Socks with all those distractions. I made this model in MLCad first and sourced the bricks through Bricklink. Check out all the pictures (which includes the back of the vignette, the card, the actual Boston landmarks and a "non-spidey" version) on Flickr or leave me a comment and rating on MOCPages!. Of course comments are welcome here as well!

Hi there. Sorry for the complete lack of updates over the past months. With a full time, and an additional part time job on the go, I have no time for anything Lego related at the moment. If you (or anyone else) would like to contribute any GIFs, or LDD/MLCad files which you would like to have made into GIFs please post them here or send me a PM. Eurobricks user Johnnhiszippy3 very kindly donated a large number of LDDs which I converted to LDRs from which I quickly made these GIFs. I hope you like them. It will be my last contribution for a while though unless more LDD/MLCad donations from other users can be made. The XML files will be uploaded at a later date and all of these files will be included in the BlueBrick 7 release which should be available by the end of the year. Hi and welcome to Eurobricks. Use BlueBrick to design your track layouts. Official website and download is here. Dedicated Eurobricks thread for BlueBrick is here. There is a detailed help file in the program itself, and there are links to the video tutorials on the official website. If you have any further questions just post them in the Eurobricks thread.
-
You can use BlueBrick to design the layout and save it as and LDR file. You can then adjust the heights of the track in MLCAD. The same question was once posted here in the dedicated BlueBrick thread. If you have any further questions about BlueBrick, please post them in the BlueBrick thread. We'll be glad to help. The BlueBrick webpage has links to the video tutorials and the program also has a detailed, integrated help file. It can also give you a part list (or you can also generate it while in MLCAD) To those who have been waiting for me to post the BlueBrick Set GIFs that I had promissed, I am truly sorry, I have been snowed under at work (it is almost 1 AM... and I have just finished for the day )

Hi! I have written a quick note to Alban to ask him to reply to your post. I have not come across anyone yet who uses it with a Mac so your experience would be quite valuable! To the MODERATOR: Could you please move this post to the BlueBrick thread? Thanks! Unfortunately I have been really busy this past week and have not had the time to make extra GIFs but there are some in the works and I should be able to post them next week.
-
Here's a start you guys! The screenshots of the modular GIFs were very kindly donated by Flickr user q_159. You will recognize some of his brick builds from various sites including The Brothers Brick! Several people requested these (not just on Eurobricks), so thanks again for your donation! At the bottom of this post you can also see my contributions. More will follow by the end of the week. You will find the pictures and set names listed here. You can dowlnoad the modular sets here and trains here (when moderated). I was hoping to point you guys in the direction of the BlueBrick parts tracker but it is really slow at the moment. Don't forget to download the XMLs for the modular sets! The XMLs for the trains will follow shortly. Enjoy! Hi there! Wow, today I already got some requests from Germany, now USA and Argentina too! A couple of the sets on your wish list were in our old "Under Construction" list. I will follow up to see how far those EuroBrick memembers managed to get. Some of the more recent sets might be difficult as I am not sure about the parts availability in MlCad but I am sure we will find a way. I will let you know as soon as I have some news. In the mean time, here is another contribution. I will post the XMLs soon. Hi Silcantar thanks for your input! Actually you are right, maybe space won't be the main problem. The linkage will be tricky though. Thanks for recommending Tyler's models, they really are amazing. I am still hoping to find an example of a gearbox which is transversly mounted as I think it will be much harder to change the gears in a gearbox where the linkage is not alligned with the input and output shafts. It is a great point that you raised concerning which type of gearbox I could use. I haven't built Technic in so long (about 15 years), that I had forgotten the options. I am most familiar with the sliding veriaty, but then again for that option I am guessing the linkage really does have to be in line with the in and output shafts but I would be happy to be proven wrong. I have noted your tip concerning the bevel gears! I am looking forward to further suggestions!

Dear all, I am thinking of making a Lego Technic interpretation of my MK1 Golf GTI (VW Rabbit in the US). What I am going for is a compromise between Model Team detailing, and working Technic parts like engine, gearbox, suspension etc... I won't be putting any electric motors into it. Perhaps some working lights but that is it. Before I start on that project I am looking for ideas on making the front, transversally mounted engine and gearbox. I think that fitting the gearbox will be difficult due to the size limitations within the engine bay...especially as I really would like to have 5 working gears just like the real car (if possible, but I can settle for less). Then of course there is the linkage too! No idea how that will work. Based on whether or not that is at all feasable, I might skip the Technic engine/gearbox combination and go for an accurate representation of the engine using regular Lego parts instead and settle for working steering and suspension. Just to give you guys an idea of the scale of the model, I will be using the wheels from either the 8880 or 8865 sets (as it happens my GTI actual has white alloy wheels so that would work perfectly) Please let me know if you guys have any experience with that type of chassis layout, or if you have any links to examples on the web. I had a quick browse through this forum using the search function but I couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance!

Great work Rumpelmuck. I am really liking the classic GIFs! When did you say the exhibition will be again, and where? I noticed that the first set GIF is a bit fuzzy compared to the second. That probably happened during the resizing of the GIF. I noticed the number of pixels of the width is equal to 41 studs, but I think it is 40.5 as the antenna does not hang over the edge by a full stud. Fix the image scaling in which ever software you are using and then only enter the pixels for the height. The width will adjust automatically. The 192 pixels you have for the height seem to be correct, but the width is about half a stud off. Finally I am able to provide some GIFs as well. As we have many of the 80s sets covered, I figured it was time to start making some GIFs of more recent models. I have included some classic 80s GIFs as well though. Sets I wanted but never had. 7815 and 7820. I have only deeplinked the pictures of the GIFs here. You can get them and the XML files from my Brickshelf folder (when moderated), or right now from the BlueBrick Parts Tracker. Hello all, at this point you might be asking... "why should I download it... what are the new features?" As I am not sure that everyone reads the change log on the site, I thought I should mention something about the new release here as well as some instructions on how to use the new features. In addition to several bug fixes, the new features include things that many of you have asked for. Up until now it has been tough trying to find small GIFs in the part library window at the top right corner. This is because everything was set to scale. As some GIFs were getting bigger, it became increasingly difficult to see the small ones. Now, you have several options to display the GIFs in the library the way you like them. Right click in the part library window and select one or a combination of the following 3 options. 1. Large icons (zooms in or out of icons, same function as the regular right click had previously) 2. Respect proportion (toggles scaling of parts on or off, switching it off will help you to find those small GIFs, but it is handy to have on when looking for the right baseplate) 3. Bubble information (when placing the mouse cursor over the GIF you get a bubble, also known as a "tool tip", with information about the GIF) Settings for this 3rd feature can be found in the global options menu, under the part library tab. Here you can chose which information you want to see in the bubble. While you are on that tab, you will notice that the parts folders/categories have been extended, and that you can now place them in any order you like above the part library window. This way you can sort them from left to right, from most used to least used. You can also change the background color of the library window. On top of that, all the GIFs which have been created since the last release, are available for download. Although this release was more feature driven, I think the library was still extended by 70 or so new GIFs. Thanks to all who contributed! If anyone wants to try making GIFs using LDD let me know. I will be sticking to MLCad for a while. Enjoy!
