Great review! Unfortunately for me I feel like this set is rather underwhelming. I was expecting many more play features, but even then most of the ones included are simply opening doors. There's also more empty/bare space than I would've liked. I genuinely feel like the strongest aspect of this set besides the minifigures is the nostalgia, but that comes from the original Cloud City set.

LEGO Star Wars 2018 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!
Darth Nader replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Anyone know if any statistics can be found in terms of how well the current 2018 summer sets are selling? I heard rumors that some of them are selling poorly but have found no source on this? -
Is there any way to remove the top to have more room for messing around with the interior? I don't think two small flaps is enough, but either way the set is still awesome.
-
Wow those pics look awesome! But why did they make the AAT so small compared to the troop transport sets?
-
Haven't the pictures been revealed for a while, I saw them in the 2014 thread a little more than a month ago :/ It looks fantastic nonetheless, everything about it looks so cool!
-
Thanks for the great pictures It seems that there is a substantial difference in size, yet IIRC the original SD only had about 5 more pieces than the new one. I can't wait for your upcoming review.
-
"Impressive, most impressive" Sorry to bother you, but can you take a picture of the system sets 2006 SD and 2014 SD together? I want to see the size difference.
-
Well I've been out for a while so I apologize in advance if you guys have already discussed what I'm about to ask. 1. That AAT is rather tiny, looks like they couldn't decide on making it a microfighter or a system set, so they went with both. 2. Why are they making a CW set in a time like this? I'm not mad about it, in fact, I'm really glad they made a CW set from the original Clone Wars series and not from the CGI one, but still it's rather anomalous that they chose to make a CW set at a time where should be releasing a lot of Rebels sets followed by episode 7 sets.

What is Your Favorite Lego Star Wars Year?
Darth Nader replied to JackJonespaw's topic in LEGO Star Wars
IMO the Golden Age of SW was 2004-2008. 2012 was amazing too, but due to the high prices I wouldn't consider it the best year. -
This is the first set where I actually gazed upon a set going "Woooooooaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!" Such a beauty she is. Forget the Cloud City Boba, just imagine how much the Boba Fett in this set will be worth in ten years from now.

[MOC] Proxy's Advanced Mos Eisley Cantina
Darth Nader replied to Artisanproxy's topic in LEGO Star Wars
What a much better variation of the Cantina compared to the official version. I'd love seeing your Jabba's Palace advancements as well.- 35 replies

Well looks like I'm a little late to the party but reading about the prelims of the new sets is sure a blast. Thanks for answering the questions Hulk_Smash, it's awesome how the new T-16 Skyhopper will have a Tuskin Raider included. Sorry to bother you but I have a question myself: Does the Geonosis battle pack have anything in it that resembles the environment of Geonosis? Because it seems like it's another Clone Trooper army builder.

I don't own either, but personally I find the Sandcrawler to be a better set. IMO it has better figures, more interesting design and functions, and overall feels like you get a lot more out of your money compared to the Executor. But it really matters based off what you want it for. You want it for display and for photos, so really either one is a good set for you to get, so really it comes down to personal preferance, but I think the Sandcrawler is a much cooler in just about every way. Your English is actually pretty good by the way. -

I doubt it, with all the rebels and Episode 7 sets going to be released in the next few years I'm sure the few other sets will be from the Saga. -

Palace is a much better set, it has a lot more minifigures and play functions, and much more accurate to the palace than the barge is to its movie appearance. Plus the Rancor looks awesome. -
Nice job, I like the clever use of the Death Star planet pieces.

If by detail you mean excessive lines, such as the one for cheek bones, then yes.

What Star Wars set would you never ever sell?
Darth Nader replied to rexusprime's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yeah a lot of the CW sets released in that era are rather forgettable since they lacked many appearances, so it makes sense you want to sell them. I'd say go for it. -
The only possible problem of a molded one is that it won't be as big in size in comparison to the one made by bricks, although it would look more detailed, but to each their own.

Darth Nader replied to rexusprime's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Oh sorry about that, I wasn't implying that your question was stupid, I was just joking about how difficult it was to answer it. I guess the one set I would never sell would be the MF I have, since it's the strongest and most nostalgic piece in my collection. I think you should list a few of the sets that you think are weaker in your collection so we can help you on whether or not you should sell them. -
I saw someone in the 2015 discussion thread wondering what would be included with the Skyhopper, and someone suggested a Bantha. My thoughts are if it were to include a Bantha, would it be brick-built or one big mold? Personally I'd like to see it brick-built as it would look like more effort was put into it, however a new mold would seem more likely. A new detailed Skyhopper pilot would look really cool, along with a few remade Tuskin Raiders with a small build to add to the Tatooine scenery, like some rocky pieces with the color of sand. I'd say the price would be between $30-$40.

Darth Nader replied to rexusprime's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Well to make this simple why don't you ask what sets would I actually sell? They're all great! EDIT: To be honest I feel compelled to actually answer this question. I would definitely keep all my OT ships, like the X-Wing, Y-Wing, TIE fighter, and the Millennium Falcon, since they are so nostalgic and such classic sets. -

Hello and welcome to eurobricks. Based off the sets you want to acquire, I can tell your a big collector, so the UCS B-Wing wouldn't be a bad idea for you to pay for. However IMO the B-Wing isn't really a good set to be a UCS, although many may disagree. I think the 2006 version is really cool too, and although it's retired you can still get it between 30 to 40 euros. I think it's better because it's very detailed with some cool play features, and it looks great on display. However the newer system set has some cool things itself, like the amazing minifigures it comes with. Whichever one is better is just a matter of opinion, however I think you will be more satisfied with getting one of the system sets rather than the UCS set. -
Don't feel bad about it, IMO Biggs is much cooler than Wedge.
