  1. You updated haven't updated Enson's position, and the monger avatars have switched around again. Enson will attack Frost Hawk B.
  2. I think you're forgetting that you currently have three velocity due to the cocoa, and every square in the 7 column is within optimal range of the gator, not adjacent to an enemy, and more-or less in the middle of the party. In fact there is nowhere you can reach in a single move that would subject you to a OA unless you were attacking one of the enemies next to Ronin and me, way out of your range. You don't have to change anything, but I am confused as to why you were worried about an OA to begin with.
  3. Your velocity is one too low to reach that square, you won't even get out of range of the gator. Also, please take an action.
  4. Round Initiative: Aysu Ronin Enson Polaris Decker "Ronin, over here!" If no contradicting orders received, Ronin will mover to M10 and attack the chopper, Enson will use a plasma potion on him. If Ronin acts otherwise, Enson will move to M11 and use a plasma potion on him. You've, ahh, you've mixed up the glacier monger avatars on the map.
  5. Ronin will move to L11 and attack the chopper.
  6. "Polaris, get that bird off Aysu. Ronin, with me!" Enson will move to L10 and attempt to shoulder check the chopper into the hurler.
  7. @Waterbrick Down you're still using last round's image, and Decker is mistakenly listed as attacking Hawk a instead of the gator. Furthermore, my movement order last round was given before the mistake with the numbering was noticed, so the square I was trying to reach would actually be M9, which is important because the hurler wouldn't have been able to get in range of me.
  8. You only need to move two squares to the left to be in optimal range, however your weapon and skill bonuses mean that you could still fire at it from your position without too much issue.
  9. (It's hawk A. Are you going to move into range or attack it from where you are?)
  10. OoC: Just so everyone knows, Hawk A is the one on the left. Also, how much fuel were we able to spread? Realizing that he wasn't in the best position, Enson decided to retreat back to the group. Enson will move to L9 and defend himself. (If @Yzalirk doesn't provide an action, Ronin will defend himself.)
  11. "Give it to Decker if no-one else wants it. Polaris, if you want to engage in some sabotage I suggest you get to it. Decker, help me with this fuel. Aysu, keep an eye out for danger." Enson will retrieve the fuel and attempt to douse as much of the corpse as he can reach.
  12. "I was thinking of handing it over to the local authorities, not someone with a vested interest in concealing this." "well, no-one is going to ignore this thing if it suddenly goes up in flames, I just want to make sure they do not notice us specifically. I have no intention of being bogged down in a fight here."
  13. "With what? We do not have anything like that at our disposal, and anyone who did probably would not use it here unless they plan to declare war on Krystal Ice." There was a pause as he considered. "I think that, with the talon and the scale fragments, we have enough physical evidence. I think we should let MILES make a visual recording and then try to ignite the body without alerting the various locals before get get safely away."
  14. Enson stops briefly, wondering why there are no predators currently scavenging the corpse. Enson will make a perception check to spot danger, and a survival check to figure out why there's nothing else here.
  15. "The thing is, we don't have any fuses, and rope burns too slowly. Look, I'm going to see if I can get some samples, If anyone wants to help that would be appreciated."
  16. "That might cause a methane explosion, considering how long it has been there." He stroked his chin. "Look," he finally said, "can anyone think of a way of disposing of this thing that isn't burning it? I can not see any way that would not attract attention to us."
  17. @karmajay Just to be clear, the 'Try Something' action exists as a way to allow proficiency checks in combat, you don't need to specify that you're using it. You are supposed to specify which proficiency you're attempting to use, however.
  18. "Do you want to? Personally I have no feelings one way or another. It does occur to me however that if the drones are using thermal cameras we could easily use the heat from the geothermal vents to mask our presence."
  19. "I still say northeast is the most likely."
  20. "Go ahead, no need to wait on my permission."
  21. "From what I understand the drake was trying to nest in the area, not actively attacking Krystal Ice. The hunters would've gone out to kill it in its nest rather than wait for it somewhere." He closed his eyes momentarily. "Considering that the gator had access to the body, I feel the north-east field is the most likely candidate, otherwise it would have to roam very far from its natural habitat."
  22. "Well, it is rather difficult to come up with a plan with no information to base it on. What can you tell us about the lay of the land?"
  23. Enson shifted in his seat a little. "Well," he said, "back in town we were attacked by a group of frost hawks. They were not really any threat to us, but afterwards we had a look around the innards of one and found a number of crushed scales." Enson took out the fragment he had pocketed and showed it to Sigrún. "Now, we could not conclusively identify them, they seem to belong to some form of reptile. And while I could not precisely identify that talon inside the gator it had a number of characteristics indicative of belonging to a flying predator. A very large flying predator." Enson cast his gaze over the rest of the party, a very serious expression on his face. "If you all remember, when we were talking to Melvin he mentioned that a rime drake had been in the area a few months back and that Krystal Ice had hired a team of mercenaries to kill it. He said that the creature was attempting to nest near the vents, presumably the ones marked on the map, southeast of the Flats." He was silent for a moment before continuing. "I believe that the mercenaries Krystal Ice hired were successful in killing the creature, but rather than disposing of the body safely and responsibly they instead left it to rot, allowing the local predators gorge themselves on its remains until they multiplied out of control. Our ultimate goal, as I see it, is to find this corpse and dispose of it by whatever means are available to us."
  24. Enson's jaw clenched a little. "Of course," he muttered, "why else would we be here but to clean up after someone else's mess? I swear it feels like I am the only responsible person in the Arm sometimes." Standing up from his examination, Enson turned to face the rest of the party. "Well," he said, "I do not think there is much else to do here. I believe we can make our way over to the Guffa Flats? It is the last place we have to visit. Oh, er, Sigrún? I know we ca not take back the whole gator, but can we at least take its head? That should be somewhat edible if I am not mistaken."
  25. I swear, if this check fails...
