Searching for Minifig-less Death Star
fenris replied to Darth Legolas's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I'd just buy the DS and resell the figs in a bundle... I think you could earn more WITH them then buying the DS WITHOUT. And you'd get a MISB DS and could sell brandnew figs instead of getting an used DS.. Just y thoughts on this... -
Show Your Army, Navy, and Collection Display
fenris replied to BillytheKid's topic in LEGO Star Wars
My little OT Army - mainly Imperial. It's not up to date, there are some Hoth guys missing... -
Thx all! The ligthning was on purpose, but as i'm not really patient in building a set where i can take shots without worrying about long exposure time because the cam is placed somewhere solidly I was holding the cam with one hand and my mobile-phone (for the red light) in the other... that's why it is a little too blurry for my taste... but as you seem to like it: perfect

Wolfenstein - Veil Heavy Trooper and soldier
fenris replied to exxtrooper's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Great work.. very well detailed.. specially the lovely guy and the left really looks "badass".. cloesups would be fine! -
It's getting better and better... fascinating to watch it improve more and more.. a shadow would really add well to the picture... keep on the great work!
-
Great! I like it a lot... specially the "metal" of the droid looks really fantastic! As already mentioned, I'd like to see more... I'm not sure if I've already posted my acryl painting - my first and only one... since school I didn't paint anything so there are quite some flaws..

First of all: thanks a lot for the positive feedback! Sorry for my late response, but i was on vacation for a week. @snow: the snow is powdered and crystal sugar @fire: the fire was only burning for 5 seconds maximum and i had to be really quick in takin the pics. i put some candle-wax on the matches to let the fire burn a little longer. THE MINIFIGS WERE NEVER IN DANGER - NO MINIFIGS HAVE BEEN HURT OR DAMAGED DURING THIS PHOTO-SESSION

fenris replied to Brickadier General's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
first of all: your nick is great! but unfortunately the pics are quite small. i really like what i see but i think i`m missing a lots of details. do you have bigger pics on brickshelf or could you post them here? i think i´m not the only one who would really aprecciate! edit: sorry, i -
I´m mainly collecting star wars minifigs and discovered photography as a new hobby. As i happen to have some vikings too i thougth it yould be nice taking some shots of them too. So here they are: I hope this is not considered off-topic and maybe some viking-fans enjoy...

in know it's probably a quite short posting but: GREAT

nice story why there are chromies included unrealistic, but still a great battleback. but even with normals stormies it would be a "msut buy" for me, not only because of the minifigs but also because of the perfect desingn of the "siege engine"!. very well done!
-
It's not worth a thread, it's: But maybe I'm not objetive I just love my chromie...
-
I tried to move the camera back and zoom in to avoid shadows but then my macro modis doesn't really work properly (pocket cam). Anyway, light is a point I´ve got to work on... there are huge possibilities to massevely improve the shots (-> smokebelch). But X-mas seems a good date to buy a dslr cam...

As I lived in Cologne for 8 months I still feel conected to the city. Great work, reminds me of my childhood, when i looked at pictures with so many little scenes for hours, always discovering new little things!

I really like all three of them. And going to order a chrome stormie. Got about 100 normal ones, but actually every good collection needs a chromie. The selfportrait problem is to well known to me - after my vader sessions. The take-out looks like an hour of work in photoshop ... You are such a lucky guy with the beach so close to you... great work as usual.. great sky! btw, the rest of the hoth pics are public on my brickshelf... male and female way of motivating a taun taun..
