  1. Looking around on Brickshelf in late 2005, I saw the very first pics of the Batman license preview. It wasn't a set, just him in Lego version on a rooftop. I then searched the web for 'lego batman' and the EB frontpage came up! I remember printing out the frontpage to show my friends in school. I soon joined to discuss the theme, and other things.
  2. With my return to Trains/Town interest, I had to update my figs. I plan on making a comic with them (eventually), but fro now, I hope to just make a 'hangout' of sorts for all of them. Enjoy: Gangs In Cedar Bay, you'll have to deal with one of the three ruling and rival gangs sometime. The Tegguttsi Family: Been around since the 30's, when life was good. The most respected gang in the city, known for taking care of their own. Shown (Left to right): Chris - Well mannered Cappo. Don Torino - The Head of the family Franky - Cheeky, fun-loving son of Torino The Bargotti Clan: Only formed recently, when Vinny (the leader) left the Tegguttsi Family for his own interests. Known for their fast and tough means of disposal. Shown: Soldier Vinny Bargotti - The head of the clan. A clever man trying to outsmart two other families, but is always looking for the main goal: money. Barry - Vinny's right-hand-man. Always by his side when needed. The Eastern Outfit: First noted around 12 years ago, but have only rose to power in past 5. Not much is known about this gang, only their creative ways of dealing with offenders. Shown: Ivan - The outfits toughguy. Ain't afraid of nobody. Not, to be messed with. Vlad - The outfits head. Rarely seen outside their turf. Boris - Vlad's nephew, and current informant on all affairs concerning the outfit. Locals Merchants: Not all 'owners' of businesses, but good to know if you intend on spending money. Shown: Chip - Young adult blackjack dealer. Some say he has a nack for it, so he tried making it as a champ, but only got as far as 'Lucky Jacks' casino. Doc. S. - Veteran of 2 foriegn wars, and now proprieter of Military antiques. A friendly salesman, but sometimes confusing to deal with. Jimmy - Bartender at Mac's bar. Too young to realise what troubles there are in the city, but he plays along nicely. Utensils: Named for the reason that they can be used for certain things. Shown: Carl - Once a proffessional assassin, but now a simple Truck Driver. Can help with 'taking care' of people, or just haulin' goods. Jerry L. - Current photographer for local newspaper. Can help catch people in the act, and diminish any reputation, with the power of the people press. Officer Smith - Always good for help (he is a cop), but usually asks for some dough. Streets: Just some guys who'll always know the latest scoop. Shown: Unknown - Spotted mugging several people. Always up to no good. Roger - The man to see for anything. Everybody knows Rog, yet noone ever knows where to find him. Johnny 2 - Known drug dealer. Can be trusted, but regularly has to deal with the cops. Noone knows where the '2' in his name came from. Wannabe's: A bunch of wannabe gang members. Call themselves the gang. All they do is rob the bank as much as possible. So far, not associated with at all. Shown: Member Leader Member The New Blood Tony and Nico: Both new to Cedar Bay. First met at Doc's antiques, whilst both trying to purchase a gun. Nico got it, so Tony settled for a knife. Shown: Tony - Real quiet guy. Most people have gotten to know him, especially the Tegguttsi's, who like his style. He says he works alone. Nico - From Eastern Europe, looking for a job. The Eastern Outfit seem to know him, and are trying to recruit him. Notes: Before anyone asks (or screams at me, thinking I'm the stupid one here), yes, some of these characters/names are based on people from Grand Theft Auto 4. Thanks for looking!
  3. Any room for an abandoned/wrecked building? Perhaps on the edge of town? I always find myself trying harder when i'm making something in a "less than perfect" state
  4. I would really like to participate in this, but I would need to see some clearer rules. Right now they're too vague. Is any form of a map being drawn up? Maybe wait until the map is done, and label areas of it with the Zone numbers e.g. Town/City centre featuring a town hall could be Zone 9, or whatever. 5 wide sidewalks? What is that? Whats wrong with 6? A plate size readily available in many sets, which doesn't involve pieces like '1x_' tiles. Like I said in the other topic, the tiles seem too much for me. Not nearly as many will participate when such pieces 'must' be used.
  5. Tiles? Really guys? Don't you realise: 1. They're not nearly as much in supply for the average builder 2. Nothing will be able to stand on the sidewalk Yes they may look better, but is that worth everyone participating with a limited supply having to immediately visit BL?
  6. Now how did I miss this fantastic creation?! Superb job BlueBard! Can't wait for your finished diorama
  7. Definitely worth having. Its onl a few Dollars/Euros/Pounds isn't it? I don't remember buying mine, can't remember where it came from. But I use it all the time.
  8. Thanks for the update Brickzone! Speed Racer Grand Prix for €30?! Wow. Just thought I'd say, Smyths at Jervis have all the Power Miners, all Pirates (including the shipwreck) and the new City construction sets. Flying wing also quite dear. Toymasters beside Smyths doesn't have much at all. In fact, lots of other products were gone, so hopefully a big closing down sale will come of it!
  9. You could always have a look around their forums: Brickarms Forums, and see here.
  10. Thanks everyone! The sticker was from 1382 Scary Laboratory, one of the great Studios sets from 2002. Heres the mirror sticker on BL. Only 4 for sale!
  11. Before you grease palms, you gotta grease ya hair: Finally found that old mirror sticker. Still clean as a whistle, but a little bumpy Thanks for looking!

Oh this gave me a good laugh Thanks for sharing. Glad to know she's ok
  13. Thanks clonekiller and Darth Legolas! Yep, we call flashlights 'torches' Wow. So thats what it feels like to get a comment from Dano.
  14. I was going to post this in The Trains and Towns forums (to announce my triumphant return to that theme!), but since it involves figs, I thought it better to post here. After picking up 8958 Granite Grinder a few days ago, my plan was to turn it into a forklift. But then I thought I should also make the most of the fig. I actually didn't take a pic of the original miner, so see here. Now then, onto the figs. First up: A Punk (kid?) with a trouser chain: Although i'm not the first to use that idea. Next, a Thug, sporting a mean Belt Buckle: Could be used for thugs, bounty hunters, any mean, lean dudes This one uses the face, and the other leg. A reasoning security guard: The leg, simply a torch. The face, well, though the grey is meant to be dirt, it looks odd on a normal fig, so now its hair. And finally, all three: "Look, fellas... we can work this out. Just take whatever you want... except my torch. I just got it." Thanks for looking!

These look... sorta... good...? Dissappointed with the bus and camper doors though. Actually 2003. My best year of lego
  16. Whoops, seems I missed this. Very good overall, though a bit silly, a perfect example of British humour. Well done Sir ehh Rriggs
  17. Theres already a thread for the Disney Theme I think thats the third time now!
  18. Huhhh even more great stuff we can't have till next year That container set would work for so many things
  19. Ahh, my first HP set, and my most favourite. Great review Matn!
  20. Already a thread in General Discussion
  21. Why is it that I don't think this is true? Yes I am a paranoid person... but still
  22. Thats it, i'm back into Star Wars!
  23. I'm asuming you wanna see a more overall shot? This is the only one I have: Taken before I received my gift, and added the air canister. Alas no, I am stepping away from Post-Apoc, and back to City MOCs. I'll be depending on IA to keep me interested for the time being, so keep 'em coming!
  24. Oooh, that number is just too weird. And on Valentines day? Come on people
  25. Thanks both of you! Nope, no rebel bases. In fact, I don't know what to do with this puppy now that i'm going back to city creations. I'll find some way to incorporate it... somehow
