Welcome to the LEGO Action Forum!
Skinny Boy replied to Shadows's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Great looking forum guys! Many a great theme in here. Though after starting on a couple of new creations, I must ask. Is this the home to what could be called, Action MOCs? Creations not based directly on the Themes this forum was made for, but whom would feel much better being placed here than in the Other Themes section. Actiony, adventurous, somewhat violent, but not Military/War creations. Know what i'm talking about? -
Previous Parts: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. Part 9: Found in Space. "Failsafe my megablocks. Man!" "Conscience, I turned East...well, left, after the wreckage. I've been walking for hours. I fear that bunker may have been a real tease to my patience." "Whoah! Son-of-aaahhhh!" "Conscience, Ow. I ehh, I seem to have fallen off another mass of earth... into a crate. There are several more around me, aswell as... ... ...Life. I have found another human. Looks to be a guard, as what I can now see are two small buildings on either side of me. He will need to be relieved of his post. And what a surprise. More, nothing! Oh no. Another guard. Shh! " "Hey buddy, I know this mist's a female canine, but c'mon, the transports right over here." "I was forced to follow him. He brought me to a vehicle of sorts, but this was definitely modern. My days of uncovering horrors of the past were now over. I am on my way, home, to Cedar Bay." "Oh man... what happened? Wha... a couch? Where..." "Ummm... you are...?" "Not important Carl." "Carl? How do you know my name?" "Now that Carl, is of even lesser importance." End Part 9. Alright, that took way too long to post considering its length, but I got tied up, unfortunately not at Brickworld. Thanks for looking!

Hey look, its me, on the far right. Carter, my character in the Baritones 1! Love the display Hinck. Colour coordination is what holds this hobby together.
-
Now thats the longest its taken me to catch my breath. Weeping aside, hooray! We made it! And congrats on finishing the series, 'twas one hell of an Apoc themed Roller Coaster ride! Now, i'd like to see the Super Villains.
-
At last! I felt like nobody would care about my MOCS until I built a Spaceship or Mecha. Sci-Fi on!
-
Nor a chopper. In fact, I don't really know what it is. During the latest Temperate War, a new mode of transport was needed to safely deliver the worlds most vital asset: Peace Negotiators. More pictures here. Thanks for looking! I'm sure this'll pop up elsewhere.

The Treasure of the Lost Mine: Teaser and Profiles
Skinny Boy replied to Luke McAwesome's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Well now, this ought to be good. Cos if it ain't! -
Hooray, i'm getting some feedback. Thanks everyone. Part 9 shouldn't take too long, though one component is proving to be a pesky build.
-
Guns, ammo, enemies. What else would you want to see in a videogame?
-
He means it holds a roll of paper towels. Anywho, nah. I've learnt that 3 really is the magic number when it comes to Lego. I won't be needing this.
-
I just tend to re-read the 3 decent instalments of my own comic, Vince Broker and Eggman.
-
Thanks. Hope you're more patient this time Anyone else care to comment? I guess moving to the space theme right before SP3 was released wasn't the best idea.
-
I better get in on this. Never got to play 1,2 or 3. Though I thought 3 looked great in a magazine. 4, its just too good. Love it. Really did kickstart my Lego Military interest (Conflict Vietnam practically founded it), and i'm glad for it. Anxiously awaiting Modern Warfare 2, but there is plenty of other stuff out before November. 5, not as good, but it has Zombies :skull: . Plus, I got Map Pack 2 today! Though I can't say if it was worth a tenner (I got it for free), I would definitely recommend it. The new Zombie map, Shi No Numa, is huge. Plus it comes with 3 or 4 Multiplayer maps. The main reason I don't like Number 5, is that I think a lot of things in it are a bit too advanced for WW2. I may be referring to the multiplayer a bit, but sort of applies to the story. In a WW2 game, i'd rather have a struggling, gritty fight than lots of tech to make it easier for me. Just makes it seem more realistic. I know you can turn off HUD and radar and stuff, but something about it just seems further on than the 1940's.

Previous Parts: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. Part 8: Explosive Decomposition. "Conscience, I have arrived, in a room. A very scary looking room. There are two bodies, in some sort of protective clothing by a wall with a door. And a mutilated corpse, on a table, which bled from its head. "God, where am I?" Theres a hole in another wall. All I can see is a barrel. I'll go in for a better look. Whoah, i'm in a round room. Theres something inside the barrel. Its a mirror. Wow, is that what I look like? And, another hole in the rounded room's wall. What is that? Some kind of reflective dish. And on the ground... Oh God. Theres actually ground. Soil! And foliage, growing from the soil! I've never seen anything grow outside a pot. How is this possible? I was convinced that the green ground would not allow plantlife to grow. But this is not the green ground. I need some answers, I think I saw one of them bodies holding a note." "To whom it may concern, If you are reading this, I am dead. Please, look in the container under the table. In there, you will find my personal diary, and a firearm." "This had better be a good read." "Dear Diary, Entry 003 We have found an old military bunker. Completely deserted, but they left several crates of rations. We decided to stay. The entrance was in the side of a hill. We parked the trailer in front of it for security. Theres plenty of wackos out there now." "Dear Diary, Entry 007 2 of our team members took the transport and left today. Now there are only three of us. Thankfully we have been using the rations efficiently. Unfortunately, they are all an odd form of Popcorn, which has to be made by placing a pack over a pot, and then heating it. They taste horrible." "Dear Diary, Entry 019 Martin freaked out today, threatening to kill us with a grenade. The lousy son of a female canine threw it, blowing part of a wall away. We were amazed with the results. Behind the Southern wall, is a missile silo. Empty now. And guess what else? We checked it for stress points just in case it could cave in on us, and we found that on one side, there was nothing behind it. Mack fired a couple o' shots at it, and what did we find? Clean, soil. The guys told me I passed out after seeing it, but 'twill be my most vivid memory of all this." "Dear Diary, Entry 021 Today we came up with an ingenious idea. The missile silo is not covered at the top (maybe since it was fired, who knows), so it allows in sunlight. When the others took the transport, they graciously left the trailer, and in that was a plane mirror. Not anymore. Now its in the silo, reflecting sunlight into a dish, which reflects it down onto the soil, where we've planted several seeds. Here's hoping." "Dear Diary, Entry 036 Still nothing. I feel so rejected, by the sun. We were positive it was the soil, not the light source. Worst of all, rations are running low. We're all worried. We check daily, and this green phase just isn't going to end." "Dear Diary, Entry 042 Mack. Mack is dead. He offered us his body, to eat for Christ sake! He got an idea, and jumped on the stove. Before his legs could burn anymore, Marty shot him in the head. Even i'm thankfull for mad Marty now. We did eat him, or as much as we could before we felt like offing ourselves. God help us all." "Dear Diary, Entry 047 We, we simply can't go on. Me and Marty, we've just been clawing at the door for days. We know salvation lies behind it, but we just can't get through. Several gunshots did nothing. You'd need a \_______ oh god i cen't kep writin i hav t writ th not" "The Door. Of course!" *BANG* "Didn't even budge. Hmmm." "This oughta do it." "What? Its just a console, and a button. Oh wait, theres an inscription: Push Red Button for Failsafe. " "Ok." "Conscience! I don't know what that red button did, but i'm gettin outta here!" "Whoah sweet!.., er crap!" End part 8. Alright, parts of that may have been very confusing to read, so lets clear that up. Sections in italics are Carl talking to his conscience, ok? Lines with just "Quote marks" are Carl talking (yeah its to himself), not to his conscience. Sections in indent are Carl reading someone else's words. Alright? Good. Thanks for looking!

Oh yes. What Mob needs a Bank, when they can just rob the Post Office? Thanks again, for forcing me to sign in and comment Love the whole thing, especially the back. Brilliant stuff.
-
Impatient after just a few hours eh? Try waiting several days for a reply. About the MOC, it just seems fairly random. Any more info on it? I do like the chainsaw-wielding maniac flying through the air though. I really need that Agents head.

Just finished watching all of season 1 (bringing back fond childhood memories) and it is safe to say, that like basically every show these days, the further you go back, the funnier it gets! Thats whats funny about South Park, the new episodes are still hilarious. And with many based on current events (of their time) I doubt the show will end for quite a while. "And so, just weeks after the devastating attacks of mutant genetic creatures, zombies and thanksgiving turkeys, the town of South Park has managed to rebuild itself once again- (Mecha Sreisand attacks) -Oh goddammit, not again!"

Previous Parts: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Part 7: Day Count Lost. "Conscience, Despite our argument yesterday, I rode this machine further than ever today. I have stopped as i've found something. I can't tell quite what it is, all I can see is that it is red, large, and in front of a mass of earth. It seems to have wheels, indicating it was a form of transport. The interior, is empty. Several storage compartments, left unattended for quite some time. Another entrance. Stuck. Most likely blocked by the earth behind us. I've decided to rest here. There is a complete lack of subsistence, but I feel as if I don't need any. It has surely been a month since I stopped remembering what had happened, yet I don't need nourishment. Interesting. Now to get some rest." "Conscience, Ouch. That supposedly stuck door sprung open while I was resting against it, throwing me to the ground. But wait, why am I not atop this mass of earth? I am in a clearing. There is a rock formation on either side of me, and planks of wood on the ground. That eery, green, ground. And what is that? There, is a, a door. A large door, similar to those of a cargo bay, for larger vehicles. Why would vehicles enter this large mound? Oh my. There is light coming from behind the door. Is this some kind of geological preserve? Maybe the door is to contain some volcanic activity. Whatever it is, i'm going in." End Part 7. Yes, that was a tease, as in the subtitle. But it seems some people are too impatient And I took yet another study break. So, with only a week of exams left, the next part will be fairly soon. Thanks for looking!

Thanks Zorro and Asuka. Glad I could get you two hooked you could tune in. Whoah, theres just too much constructive criticism in that post... I can barely handle it! Seriously, if you're gonna post, why not make it worth while. And honestly, don't you know of something called suspense?
-
I don't know what level of crime rates you hope to withold in your city BlueBard, but if the Mob is going to survive, they need Alleyways to breathe. Uimhir a dó. Number two. Spanish for number two. "#2"

Just the 2 vig entries I made: Army Life: After being decommissioned, an Ex-trooper decides to stay in Vietnam. Two other troopers notice he's found a new line of work, and prevent a customer from making a mistake. Rescue: Special Forces attempt to rescue an innocent caffeine addict's money, before it can be invested into StarClucks Coffee-Wings™. More pics on my Flickr. Thanks for looking.

Before the last post in this thread can become a baby, I was able to get my hands on a digital photo frame. Of course I didn't buy one, a relative lent it to me, for one reason, and one reason only. The Big Screen: For once, the camera took of ten pounds inches Yes, this will be perfected. Oh, and some of you will see this again, very soon. :skull: Thanks for looking!
-
Thanks, but you'll have to wait! And I don't think you should quote the whole post with images and everything. Gets annoying for those with slower connections.
-
Wow. All I can really say is, Thanks. Thanks for sharing this. You've really made my day! Love the chapel! And everything else! Amazing job

Previous Parts: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Part 6: Day3. Carl has wandered the green lands for three days now. He stumbles across what looks like a neighborhood. "Dear Diary,.. uhh, conscience. I seem to have found an old neighborhood. Clearly abandoned, but I can't see why. I'll go in for a closer look." "What the... the windows are broken, and boarded up. And the doo'rs locked." "Same thing here." "Hey, this ones open. Who are you talking to? You. Oh shut up." Carl enters the house and finds some clothes. "Well thats convenient. What? Oh Get lost you." He then explores the neighborhood. "Now I know i've seen that before. But where..." "Ok, i'm gonna go for... What? Conscience, I've found what looks like the bare minimum of remains of a house. Just the foundations. Now i'm really confused. Why would people leave, when theres no signs of destruction, except the road which has worn away, and this weird... green ground. Now I find a house that looks like, it was professionally dismantled? There's not one sign of rubble. And its not like they stopped construction. The other houses were occupied. I'll find out sooner or later." Carl goes around the back of the opened house to find a shed. He opens it. "I don't know what that is.... But I like it!" "Maybe not. Ahh ha ha ha! God will you leave me alone!" Carl practises riding the bike for the rest of the day. Day4: "Conscience, I travelled on this thing not too far from the house today. I found a large building that says 'Museum' on a sign outside. I went in to explore." "Conscience, I came to a room that had sign. It said: 'Local History'. In the centre there was a setup, of two men in some kind of struggle. Another sign said: Depicted here is Commander Arnold something breaching the lines of the... what is that word? during the great revolt of 2009. I'd never heard of him, or the revolt before. Though I could use a weapon." "Thanks Arnie." "I've explored most of the 'Museum' now, and its almost empty. Just a couple of statues. Hey, theres something." "Its a gun!" "Conscience, Today was fun. I learned a lot about... wherever I am. Something happened in 2009, and there is a thing called a museum. I found a gun, and sure enough, in an office, some bullets! I'm gonna head home now. Heh, home is where you make it I guess." "Man. Who knows what tomorrow will bring. A headache. Oh thats it you son-of-a!" End Part 6. Yeah, I said this wouldn't be for ages, but I took a study break. A long one. 2 days Thanks for looking.
