LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors

I stand corrected. Hopefully Lego bring out a proper minifigure of B'omarr Monk this time. -
LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors

If you'd googled it properly you would have found that Satele Shan lived quite a long long time before Clone Wars, hence it wouldn't be possible for her to be in CW. Lego don't bring out just CW sets. They are very kindly releasing two ships from the Star Wars The Old Republic game that was just released. Satele Shan is the main character of the good side and Darth Malgus is the main character of the Dark side. Hence why Lego is releasing both these characters (along with 4 others I believe) as minifigures. -
May I kindly have one please? Thank you.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors

I am not that bothered about the Gungan sub but I did hope that Lego may go the extra mile and include a Boss Nas in there. Malevolence I will certainly get because not only is it one of my favourite SW ships but also because we hardly got any Separatist ships so far. I just hope it is going to be similar size to Tantive IV. Fingers crossed. Kithaba is a Klatooinian assassin and not a Weequay at all. -
The SSD does certainly have a high likelihood of making good profit on in the future. But that is not the case for all LSW sets. I personally got the 8039, 6211, and 7666 recently for either the same amount they were sold for or even less. And these sets have been discontinued for a while.

Thank you for the links. That website has certainly inflated the prices way too much. £14 for Bespin planet set? £150 for Jabba's Palace? No way! Those prices are expensive even for UK. I thought Jabba's Palace was going to have 10 minifigures? One of which is unknown so far? A B'omarr Monk is a sort of spidery creature with 4 legs that live in Jabba's palace. You can see them in the film wondering around aimlessly (at least they appear so). -
mutley777, thank you for the reviews of all three sets mate. I can't see the printing issues that is being discussed here but maybe I'm not looking in the right place . If the silver parts on the ship were made with metallic bricks I would have given this one an above average. As it is I've gone for average.

Review: 9675 Sebulba's Podracer & Tatooine
legolandia replied to mutley777's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I feel exactly the same way. As soon as I found out about the planet sets I didn't bother buying Sebulba. I sincerely hope that this is a long term project for Lego so that I may add the planet collection to my minifigure collection. -
It's a good average set in my opinion. The death star would have looked a lot better if it was half built rather than complete meaning that around a quarter of the globe could have been molded with jagged edges.

So far it's 100%. The only non SW Lego I have are two robots from the Minifigure Collection series. I am pondering whether I should start to collect the LotR minifigures only or not but I'm not decided so far.

Well, I am glad to her that new Star Wars stuff is going to come out, however I do hope that the scripts for this series doesn't clash and invalidate what has been written in the EU books so far. The Clone Wars did mess things up in that aspect which upset quite a few people and caused some authors to refuse writing for SW any more. On the other hand I wish that Lucas stopped wasting money by doing live TV shows and just released another trilogy. It doesn't have to be Ep. 7,8,9. It can be set 300-1000 years after Darth Vader and be called something like Hyperspace Wars 3 or something...

What?!? Seriously?!? Am I the only one who finds this Mr Mills to be totally pathetic and this whole letter thing very disturbing? How can a so called adult go so low? If I were to stoop to his level I would say that based on his logic Mike and Sulley characters from Pixar's Monster Inc should not be sold in the shops because they are evil. Why evil? Because they scare innocent children and use their screams to power their city i.e. they profit from child labour (or child suffering). By the way, the debate of whether the Jedi are good or not was debated to death a while back on many forums. Personally I would say that if the Jedi existed, in the Western society they would have been arrested, prosecuted, jailed and outlawed thousands of times for snatching or removing children away from their families (particularly when a lot of those families were vulnerable due to finding themselves in financial, environmental or other difficulties). A lot of fans fail to see the moral corruption of the Jedi Order which was ultimately the main reason for their failure and destruction. Karen Travis portrayed such corruption perfectly in the books she wrote. It is a real loss that she decided to stop writing for SW universe. Well, that got a bit philosophical didnt it?

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
legolandia replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The only thing that resembles what you're looking for is the Star Wars Encyclopaedia. In 1000+ pages it gives a brief description for SW every character that exists (even in EU) up to 2009 (if I'm not mistaken). Either that or you have to go the long way of watching the films and taking notes Do people think that Lego might one day releasea Kaminoan minifigure? With the whole multitude of clones we are getting it would be nice to have a couple of Kaminoans. They have been featured in quite a few episodes of Clone Wars too which means that they havegot more show time than a lot of some of the characters Lego has released so far. -
Personally I would love to see Lego release a few Banking Clan Separatist capital ships, The Pelta class Republic Medical frigate and a UCS Jedi Temple.
-
You are right there but I was basing it on the fact that the majority of the time in the Clone Wars I have seen Munificent fleets fighting Venator fleets.
-
This is one of my favorite ships and am very surprised that Lego has never bothered to make one since it would have been the Separatist equivalent ship of the Venator. A very nice effort and the ship looks pretty nice. To achieve perfect accuracy though it needs to be slightly thinner and longer. Still it is nice to see someone making an effort with a separatist ship.

Palpatine's Arrest is probably going to end up being a £20 set like the Droid Escape this year. Unless Lego has really gone for it and built the whole office. Apart from Agen Kolar and palpatine (if a new version is released) there's nothing else that attracts me to this set. -
My main hobby is collecting minifigures and have all the SW minifigs Lego has released so far. The book is helpful but it isn't good enough. The way the minifigures are listed is confusing. The book is also incomplete since it doesn't list/recognise all the different variants that have been released but only some of them.

Does Lego make such distinction or is it some AFOLs who class the sets based on how big the eyes are? Agree with you on both points. Hopefully Lego will include in it a Jedi that we haven't had so far. Temple of Yavin would be very nice. The Jedi Temple would be even nicer. Read a couple of pages back regarding RFPP and you'll realise that with LSW is rarely safe to assume anything. -

Don't blame me, it's the Kaminoans not producing them fast enough...lol In proportion to the other minifigures the clones are definitely the most included minifigures in the sets. It makes no sense for Lego to include generic clones in the majority of the sets. For people who wish to build armies Lego has brought out the battle packs. Personally I think Lego should stop including R2D2, C3PO and generic clones (the plain white ones) in sets above US$40. -

We get enough clones as it is thank you very much. RFPP is the perfect way for Lego to give fans a particular minifigure even when Lego has no plans to make the particular vehicle which the minifigure links directly to. For example: if Lego decided to give us a nice Bith minifigure I couldn't care less if they put it in a Mos Eisley cantina set or in Darth Vader's chambers. -
Ordered Jedi Interceptor 9494 today from S@H. Getting the minifigures out and the rest will end up on ebay.
-
Nice ship and a very good effort. You will need to add some weapons to the top and bottom of the head like the picture in the link shows

Happy New Year everyone. The new Lego sets are up and available on Lego UK. Are there any exclusive sets appearing soon or is this all we get in the first wave? @North Lego Star: The prices you have shown seem to be quite realistic (and very decent too I must add). -

Why, how many bricks is Malevolence expected to be? The Falcon was 1200+ bricks but Malevolence doesnt look like a UCS set to me...
