  1. Wow! Stunning set and really well done by Lego. Unfortunately not in my wheelhouse so I won't be getting it. I don't want it, but I want to want it. If Lego reads these boards, however, know that it is an impressive model. Good job. I will have to Bricklink Green Lantern and Harley.
  2. If I'm counting right, that's 32 microfigs. I love the horntail up on the tower. It looks big enough to have some kind of interior, but I wonder if it actually does. My one complaint (and I know, I shouldn't complain) is that I wish they had included some of the Hogwarts grounds (ie the lake, the forest etc) though I think I see the Whomping Willow and Hagrid's cabin shown on the side. Edit: Nevermind, I didn't see the rest of the pictures on instagram. Awesome interior!!!
  3. I'm sure this has been mentioned already in the past, but a quick perusing did not reveal an answer: Is the DC Superhero Girls line dead? While there are quite a few minor characters missing, I'm most distressed that they never made Katana. I know most people didn't care for the mini-dolls, but I put them right along side my "regular" collection.
  4. I'm torn. As much as I really like the Jessica Cruz Green Lantern, and love that we are getting more Green Lanterns to fill out the Corps, I'm also bummed that we're getting her instead of that Red Lantern. We need at least one representation from each color!
  5. I really like this! My only complaint is that I want to see it in person because I feel like there are a lot of small details and working parts that I can't appreciate with just pictures or even the video. I don't know if I'm explaining myself well by saying this, but most MOCers large-scale MOCs suffer from a lack of variation, ie a 6-foot model of such-and-such famous landmark just ends up having a bunch of large, flat, dimensionless walls. This MOC, however, is brilliant in it's ability to be large and still pack something interesting in every square inch...and it's not just greebling, either. It all looks functional. This clearly took a lot of planning and I applaud you.
  6. It's been a while since this has been discussed, so please forgive me if the answer is somewhere 20 pages back. Does anyone know if either the Kiss Kiss Batman keychain or the Tiger Suit Batman will be sold in the US at any point? And has there ever been a keychain that wasn't also an actual minifig? I think the Kiss Kiss Batman may be a first.
  7. A few thoughts on Disco Batman and Tears of Batman (I still don't get that name, but whatever). I am all for different Batman suits, and giving us two in a poly bag without the mess of a pointless side build is a plus for me (I'm looking at you, Phantom Zone). However.......eh. Not the greatest. I mean Disco Batman at least has that bat-bowtie. Clown Batman doesn't even have a new torso print! The exact same print was already on a purple torso and a green torso. Admittedly this is the first time it's on a blue torso, but...come on! Nothing bat-related at all? At least the red cowl and the green cape are new. No complaints about THAT part. And did anyone notice the dark line running down his leg? I know there is normally a molding crease running down the legs of minifigs but this seems a bit TOO pronounced, like it was purposeful or something. So, to sum up. A few interesting parts and I'll still end up get it, but it's a wasted opportunity in my opinion.
  8. If this is the wrong place to post this, please forgive me. I have no desire to spend hours "feeling" bags, and yet I do want one of every figure from the CMF series. I also don't want to spend the inflated rates from brick link. I can't be the only one in this boat. Since apparently every full box comes with exactly 3 sets, if two others want to go in with me, we can just buy one box and be done with it. Any one in the Dallas area interested, please PM me.
  9. Very nice collection! I am not a collector of these myself, though, like fred67, I have all of the Heroica games. I also have the Batman ones which I had to order from Europe. I am very jealous of your purple Batman. Very nice!
  10. Yeah!!! It is officially midnight which means it is Nov 27th! I just ordered the Batcave from S@H and am getting the free snow globe with it. It's actually my second free snow globe but I didn't want to brave the mall again in the morning so online I went.
  11. I'm not normally a fan of all the hints and guessing, but I'll bite on this one. Delta Customs put the hint in this thread for a reason. Therefore it's not a Wizard of Oz set or a Wonder Woman movie set as some have suggested. This line from the movie comes right after Dorothy sees the wizard take off in a hot air balloon. I'm guessing the set is the BAT-ZEPPELIN.
  12. I'm so glad the official line-up and picture are finally released! Overall I'm very happy. Love the bat-variants, even the goofy lobster-eating one and vacation Batman. Catman is great. Pink Batgirl is awesome! I don't know if Harley is officially "Nurse" Harley or "Dr." Harley. I mean, technically she is a psychiatrist which means she went to med school and has the degree. Seems weird that they would label her as a nurse, but whatever. My only complaints are Orca and Prison Joker. I get why having a cheap way to get Prison Joker is a good thing for some, but to have only ONE repeat in the series seems weird and a waste to me. Some have suggested that his expression is different but even that's weird to me. And Orca bothers me because she doesn't look like an orca but like a black shark. I get why they reused the shark-guy's mold, but it just doesn't look right. Orcas are not sharks!
  13. An open question to those who have already started buying these sets: Nearly every set has a black-suited batman. Are there any variations between any of these minifigs? Different printing of any kind? What about different heads? How many variations of heads are in these sets and, if I may be so bold as to go a step further, which sets have which head variations?
  14. I find it interesting that the "rumored" (since the pictures have not technically been released yet) polybags have the same two minifigs that also come in the cheapest set in the series. I don't foresee these polybags being too popular.
  15. So ASSUMING the leaked pic is accurate (I know a lot of traditionally in-the-know people are saying it is, but it's just so prelim-y that I have to reserve judgment), the only character we don't know about is the one smack dab in the middle, between Harley and Barbara. There are some others that some people have questioned, but I'm pretty sure the bottom left is Tarantula and the third from the bottom right is King Tut. If 6 out of 20 are females, then, unless I'm wrong about other figs, the middle character is a female. #8 Harley, #10 Barbara, #13 Tarantula, #16 Orca, #19 March Hare. That's only 5. So unless I'm missing something, and assuming it really is 6 out of 20, then the middle character is a female. The image I've looked at is particularly difficult because the prelim stamp goes right over her body/face. It looks like there is a bow tie and a jacket that's too short for a lab coat. But if it's not a female, my guess would be Robin in dress-up civilian clothes to match dressed-up Bruce Wayne in the Batcave set. Man, that's a lot of ifs in one post. My take overall, I love any new character and any Batman variant. The only one that I really cringe at is Chef-disguise Joker. Ugh! You can complain about the cartooniness of some of the other characters, but at least they are true to their (albeit obscure) source material. But Chef Joker? That is the main reason why I'm hoping this picture isn't completely true.
  16. Thanks for the response! Disappointed, though.
  17. Sorry to change the topic, but wasn't there a rumor a long time back about getting a Saturn Girl minifig? We've gotten Cosmic Boy and Lightning Lad and I'd like to round out the team a little more. Was that rumor proven false or is she still coming?
  18. I really like these mini-dolls. They're fun and different and something spice up my DC minifig wall. I've gotten all the other DC minifigs up until now and I don't see any reason to stop now. I think it's a fun take on the characters and in all honesty I don't think traditional minifigs would represent the show's characters very accurately. I may or may not get the actual sets (depends on if my daughter wants them) but I will definitely be getting all the mini-dolls from bricklink. I've never understood why the mini-doll sets (friends, elves, etc) have so few mini-dolls per piece count, though. Are they really that much more expensive to manufacture than minifigs? In the case of Super Hero Girls, the whole high school has only 3 mini-dolls? My only concern is what the price of the mini-dolls will be on bricklink. A quick example: the friend's set "Liv's PopStar House" costs $50 (US) but you can get the two mini-dolls that come with it for only $2-3 each. If these super hero girls are the same, it'll be REALLY nice for me, but they will no doubt be much more expensive. That said, because there are so few in each set, unless they go for $20 each, it will be much more cost-effective to just bricklink these.
  19. I don't post much but I'm always around. I usually just don't have much to say. As for Nightwing, I don't know how I missed that it was included with a DVD. I thought it was a separate polybag. Thanks for the info (you, too, BrickSantorum)! Nightwing is my all-time favorite comic book character and I've never liked the New 52 costume. Luckily I have the blue version from 2006, though I never cared for his hair in that one. Glad to have a newer version.
  20. Forgive me for asking a question that I'm sure has been answered somewhere within this thread, but it's not on the front page. When does the blue Nightwing polybag come out in the US? I've seen some on bricklink, but too few to assume a full release has taken place and I missed it.
  21. Nice render, noppin! I'm glad you like it. You may notice that the 8x8 trans-blue plates don't quite make it all the way around the lake. I took a table saw to the piece on the end. I try to be purist, but it doesn't always work out.
  22. Wow, I did not know these were coming out for Duplo. Must have missed this earlier. I gotta say that these both (I had to google the truck adventure one) are quite underwhelming. And I'm not just saying that because it's Duplo. I have a couple of the DC ones for my youngest son and they are well designed for Duplo. But this truck adventure just looks bad. And compare the motorcycle set to Superman's set. Supes is classic iconography....crafted in Duplo. Spidey's motorcycle garage? Not so much. Just my opinion.
  23. There is so little love for the zombie cheerleader! I do like a number of these, particularly the gargoyle, but who can resist an undead cheerleader! Most zombies would be all sad and mopey--given their lack of souls I guess--but she's just so upbeat about her whole decaying flesh situation!
  24. I apologize for asking a question that I'm sure was answered somewhere in the last 281 pages of posts, but I unfortunately don't get to check this site daily and couldn't find the answer eaily. Was the Winter Soldier polybag only sold in Europe? Was it a give away? Will it be available in the US? On Bricklink I only see European sellers for it.
