  4. Yeah, I agree with you, Aanchir. IMO I like what Hero Factory's doing next year; one base helmet with different attachments and accesories; It's a cool idea, and was never attempted by BIONICLE. I don't think I've posted my thoughts before, so I'll go ahead and do it. For once, the Heroes actually look better than the villains; In terms of design, at least. Bendable limbs are one immediate plus, and the color schemes are another; Oddly enough, they remind me of the Toa Mata. A prominent color with bits of black thrown in to offset the main color. I'm loving their taglines, which I hope they keep. I especially love Surge being a sniper; That gun looks absouletely gorgeous. Overally, my favorite one has to be Stormer; He looks great. I also especially love Evo and Nex; Yellow and orange as primary colors! Finally! I also wonder what happened to Bulk and Stringer, but looking at the group shot, it got me thinking... Fire Lord's helmet certainly looked like an altered version of Stringer's. But maybe it's just the four eyes. It would be cool if he somehow defected to the villains' side. Onto the villains, my opinions are mixed. I have no doubt the color schemes of all will change when finalized pictures come out, but even then, they're a mixed bag. Drilldozer and Nitroblast look like they have promise design-wise, but Jetbug and Fire Lord look too... cluttered. Too many random appendages sticking out everywhere, and for some reason, Jetbug uses the pre-2009 hand pieces. Why? Not to mention Fire Lord looks way too much like a combiner model. When I saw him, I thought of the Toa Kaita from 2001; His design is very reminiscent of them, with the double legs. Parts wise, I really couldn't ask for anything better. So many new pieces! And a recolored Meltdown tank, as well as Mata red Inika feet. Recolored BIONICLE parts are almost nonexistant, but they make up for it with the amount of brand new pieces. Hero Factory 2011 is looking great for me, honestly. And peoples' opinions will probably change when finalized pictures (and the sets themselves!) are released in a few months. -Mesonak
  5. Which is exactly why I'm betting the color schemes are prototypes as well. -Mesonak
  6. Hero Shifters: The one and only Lego and Mega Bloks duo that can transform! Also, I can't believe I just now noticed they're using thornax launcher agains. Cool. Glad to see consistency. -Mesonak
  7. And where do we find the piece count? Not listed on the pictures. Your cryptic comments confuse me so! I would attempt to count the actual pieces, but it's hard to tell what's one piece and what's multiple... Hmm. -Mesonak
  8. Hopefully@the villains. Though they do have some nifty parts. Detachable recolored Stormer-Ice-shooter-esque-thing and Mata red Inika feet! Honestly I'm very disappointed in these sets, but they're growing on me. =/ Also, any chance someone could translate the bit of text underneath the villains? Maybe it says something interesting. -Mesonak
  9. Hah, I'm sure everyone did a double take when they saw that! Lego's said it was a "joke" regarding how the villains never saw the duo of Furno and Stormer coming, therefore VN used their names together. Me? I think it's just a typo. :P
  10. @minifigure fan: Yeah, you're right; Those are excellent sets. Also, Lockon, here you go. Scans of whole comic. :) -Mesonak
  11. I'd appreciate that very much!
  12. Oh wow, seems like all my System-dreams are coming true; Egypt-based sets, more Atlantis, Classic Space :D I don't pick up many system sets but I might have to; All the glorious tan pieces! And Space too... 2011's a great year for Lego, I can already tell. While I doubt many of you in this topic are fans of Lego Hero Factory, the successor to BIONICLE, I would like to know (directed towards nausicaakro) if you saw any pictures of sets by that name? -Mesonak
  13. Um... I highly doubt that was actual story. More like Non-Canon promotional material. -Mesonak
  14. Oh wow, that's cool. I wonder if it's a prototype, or a future set... Hmm... There's a new kind of head, I see (Or Maybe not, maybe it's just my eyes.) The mask or helmet or whatever looks SWEET. Thanks for the pic! :D -Mesonak
  15. Sounds interesting... Provide pics please? :) -Mesonak
  16. I value the storyline heavily, and I actually enjoy Greg Farshtey's writing. However, the BIONICLE sets always mattered more to me than the story. When they left, my interest declined by quite a sizable amount. Yay for Hero Factory. -Mesonak
  17. Heroes, I honestly have to say Preston Stormer, closely followed by William Furno. Villains, XPlode all the way. B-) Titans, Von Nebula edges just past Rotor in my opinion. MoCist heaven, and easily modified to look better (i.e. Vahki legs as lower arms) Vehicles, Furno Bike. Dropship may have a better build, but Furno Bike has better parts, and is just generally awesome. -Mesonak
  18. Not really; The HF torso's design lets it move freely. Doesn't interfere whatsoever. -Mesonak
  19. I agree wholeheartedly; I got those exact sets several days ago along with Stringer and Bulk and Von Nebula. Very worth it, and I like it more than most BIONICLE sets of recent memory. As well. :D -Mesonak
  20. Pirates of the Carribean would be good for Lego if done right; Would be very interesting. I might actually buy a few if they really do get made. Thanks for the info, Klaus. -Mesonak
  21. Interesting. -Mesonak
  22. No. It's not. This is just people overreacting. That podcast was pretty good; Gargantuan Smash was cool. -Mesonak
  23. This. And also the Midak Skyblasters/Rhotuka. -Mesonak
  24. Metru Nui was a disaster, I didn't care for 2001 all too much... I'd honestly have to say 2009. They had it all set up to be a mysterious new world, complete reboot... Until they brought in Mata Nui. <_< It was still awesome though. Story was ehh at times, but the sets didn't fail to disappoint. Also 2002-2003 are <3 too. -Mesonak
  25. Actually, Corroder, Thunder, Meltdown, Furno Bike, and Von Nebula have the french names on their sides. Great review as always, VBBN; Thanks very much for the high quality pictures. :) Your review's made me like Meltdown more and more; He's now my second favorite Hero Factor villain. And I might be getting him later today, with luck. Thanks again. :D -Mesonak
