  1. He doesn't. He's just a bit of a jerk, lol.
  2. Having read multiple reviews and watched several videos on 79111, I'm fairly certain that I will get it once I get my paycheck...yet there are still a few things niggling me: Price. At nearly $150 CAD, it's not what I'd call cheap - that said, there are a lot of specialized parts included which naturally drives the price up (I imagine, at least) Second, I can't help compare it to the Emerald Night (10194) set - it was bigger, a bit more detailed, and featured a full coach - that said, 79111 still seems to offer more for the money - two cars (excluding the coal car) - plenty of features, and lots of cool figures. A common complaint is that there's no PF... but that one I can understand. If it would have PF, the price would easily spill over $200 mark, something Lego doesn't intend to do. EN didn't have PF either, although they did make it easier to mod it by including instructions. Not a complaint from my end, really, in fact, I'd actually enjoy figuring out how to PF the Constitution :) My conclusion is... this is a cool train set - the colour choices are also very well done, one of the things that attracted me to the set in the first place. In any case, what do you guys think?
  3. Some are mixed with other sets, and unfortunately he's tossed the boxes - but I know for a fact every each set is complete and in excellent shape - so are the respective instruction manuals. I even offered to pay the current value for them - still got a no - and, he's been gone to work overseas for years now - I might just convince his parents someday to just give them to me...
  4. I'd take all 5 lol. Another reason why I've always liked the shuttle and wanted a System-scale one was because it appears quite frequently in Expanded Universe media, such as the Jedi Knight Dark Forces video game series - I'd probably faint if they'd release another System version with unique figs like Kyle Kattarn, Mara Jade or even, Jan Ors - she could be the pilot :) - throw in some Stormtroopers for those intense fight scenes too, lol. A friend of mine has a 7166, but lies at the bottom of a shelf in pieces - been trying to convince him to give it to me for years (he's not even into Lego) - he's also got the original Slave I (want) and the classic Millennium Falcon (with the single piece dome "roof") - and, equally, they too share the same fate as the shuttle... sigh.
  5. Hi everyone, I'm Octavian, a.k.a octavspot - (no, I'm not a superhero, nor a villain, and I don't live in a hollowed-out volcano) I've been playing with Lego since I was about six, (I'm 24 now) - and what I've always loved building has been spaceships and vehicles (or spaceships that could launch vehicles, a-ha!). I'm a journalist by profession, (I know, TOTALLY unrelated) - that said, I do love mechanical wizardry, or pretty much anything with an engine, gears, and moving parts. So, as a result, I build clunky, at times hilariously short-lived functional model replicas of machines (my favorite was when I tried to build a 4x4 truck: let's just say one axle went south, the other, north) - but hey, that's how you learn, right? Here are some of my most recent creations (albeit some have yet to be uploaded, and others, well, I unfortunately didn't document my all creations well as a teen) Looking forward to get to know some of you, and of course, browse through the amazing talent and imagination that has brought me to Eurobricks in the first place. Cheers! (yeah, we don't have anything more dramatic here in Canada, for better or worse)
  6. Very comprehensive review, it's cool that you used stills from the movie to compare details on both the characters and the tower. Your review really, really makes me want this set now! lol :D
  7. Absolutely beautiful. I love how you used the rubber tubes for the piping, especially right at the front. Engine dimensions and details are right on the money.
  8. ...kind of a twist in the topic but... anyone else here hoping for another Imperial Shuttle? - the previous one was, by every means, awesome - but (and this is purely my opinion) it was too big and expensive - I'm thinking something along the lines of the very first Imperial Shuttle, 7166...with the firing capabilities of 7659 (which I have) - idk, just my 2 cents...
  9. Great stuff! Gotta love the "blueprints"
