The problem with that is that I haven't opened the program for quite a while so I don't know when to restore. I'm also reluctant to because I don't want to mess up any other programs. Are there any other solutions? If I can't get the software to work correctly is there a way I can recover the files I have made with the EV3 software (there are only 2 of them)? If I can retrieve the files, I can recreate them using the old NXT 2.0 software and then at least I will have my files.

My windows update is set for automatic updates. Everything is already up to date.

I have a Windows 7 64 bit PC. It's running .NET 4.0. I downloaded the EV3 Home Software and it worked fine. Then suddenly whenever I try to open the program it says "Lego Mindstorms EV3 has stopped working" and it prompts me to close the program. I have tried uninstalling the software and reinstalling it but that doesn't work. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi. I am working on a model in LPub that contains the piece 44309. When I open up LPub the first step should have a wheel and the tire (44309) in it. However only the wheel shows up. I clicked through LPub to step 4. Suddenly the piece appeared. It didn't appear in the PLI in the first step or the fourth step. Is there some reason the piece isn't showing up in LPub until the fourth step Also my PLI on the first step is huge. It is the size of the whole page. All the other PLI's are normal. Is there a way to shrink a PLI? Thanks, Nathan

I also use SR 3D Builder. I like it a lot. I took me a little bit to get used to but now it is easy. I used to use MLCAD but I think SR 3D Builder is easier and faster. I still do use MLCAD to get my model ready for LPub though.

I couldn't get the dense conns to work. Once I turn it on, I don't have to press anything right? I just have to move the piece with the dense conns on? It still was inside of another piece.

Hi. I am building a model in SR 3D Builder and I need to move a piece along an axle a little bit farther. When I do, though it automatically locks on to it's position, but this position is inside another piece on the axle. So I can either have to too far away or too close so that it's actually inside another piece. I looked in the manual and didn't see anything but I might have missed it. Is there a way to move a piece less than it automatically does? Move it manually a little bit? Thanks, Nathan

I actually reinstalled SR 3D Builder about a week ago. I have version .8.9.18.

A problem I have had with line following programs is the lighting. Often my lighting wasn't strong enough for my sensor to work properly. Try shining a flashlight on the path of your robot. That really helped me.

What exactly is happening? You will need to stop the motors at some point. You turn the motors on for unlimited and there is no block stopping the motors. I don't know if you stop them in some other place in the program, but that could be the problem if your robot is just spinning.
