I really hope you're not voting me out simply because the blocker was killed the night he was going to block me. What kind of reasoning is that? If you have other, legitimate reasons to vote me out, present them to me and I'll defend. There's no way I can address your vote if you don't even present a case against me.
-
Fair enough. Everything you've said makes perfect sense. Forgive me for not discounting the possibility that you're manipulating the town - take it as a compliment! I would also like to hear from Wilder, since the there seems to be a lot of confusion as to why he picked his target.

I'm surprised that the vig went after Daly as well as the scum killer. Daly never struck me as particularly scummy, and no one accused him yesterday in the day thread. If only the scum killer went after Daly, then I might believe that the scum were trying to frame anyone Daly suspected. However, since both killers went after him, something else I can't explain was afoot. For most of the day yesterday, Daly was pushing against Hornby, but stopped when the PMs were revealed. In a story called Werewolf, I was a scum protector who worked my way into the town block by protecting members of the town for a good number of nights. That was the best game I ever played, and since I know it's possible to dupe the town with a protecting action, I'm not so inclined to let Hornby off the hook just yet. If it weren't for the PMs, Daly was in favor of voting out Hornby. If I believe that the PMs don't necessarily prove that Hornby is on our side, then following a confirmed Loyalist's suspicion, I would be opposed to Hornby. Yes it's a bit far-fetched, but I think it would explain the leak in the town block that people believe exists.

As I've told Wilder in private, I was not informed of a block, but then again I have no action to block. The fast-paced conversation has made this day very difficult to follow. It's likely that this difficulty in choosing a lynch candidate means we're on the right track and someone is pushing back against us.

The death of two loyalists last night is unsettling, but at least we were right about Rockford. Indeed, everyone should take caution in sharing information. Having said that, we will get nowhere if people are hesitant to bring genuine suspicions forth.

A godfather counts as a non-PR scum, no? There certainly was a godfather in the simulation (I would know!) Unless we have reason to believe that Gordon was the godfather this time, we can't rule out the possibility that you're the godfather. In my eyes, this simple statement brings Rockford's entire defense crashing down.

Modular Madness: Rhodes Biology Lab (Under Construction)
Inconspicuous replied to Inconspicuous's topic in LEGO Town
Thanks for the comments and criticism! The cheese slopes are supposed to be a small staircase out the back. They also serve as a way of locking in the door, which would otherwise be loose. I agree that they aren't spot on, but nothing else seemed to work well. I agree that the official minis pack in a lot of details without stickers, but I feel like they're almost too crammed because of the limited possibilities with standard pieces. I added in stickers to create the illusion of detail without making everything seem too crammed. -
This looks like a concrete case to me. That is, of course, assuming that all the PRs are telling the truth, but I see no reason to believe otherwise. Vote: Toby Rockford (darkdragon)

B-M-08E Hello everyone! I wasn't originally planning on entering this contest, but I came up with an idea that I just had to try - a building under construction. Buildings in the city often use elaborate vertical scaffolding to help the renovation process, and I thought a building with said scaffolding would be a natural addition to the Modular Street. I didn't have the time and resources to build it big, so I built it mini! With no further ado, here's my entry: The rapid development in biotechnology and DNA sequencing has finally hit Lego City. This old apartment is being transformed into a state-of-the-art biology research lab, and it's nearing completion! Don't mind the scaffolding as you take a look at the brand new Rhodes Biology Lab. All stickers come from official Lego sets. The DNA tile and the brick pattern stickers both come from Spiderman sets, the caution stickers come from Exo-Force, and the "ladder" sticker comes from a Police set. Thanks for looking! -Inky

I found myself in the same situation. It didn't feel like he was trying to probe, but the massive logic puzzle he claims to have created sounds just a little too good to be true. As I told him in private, I'm not going to immediately trust him just because he rightfully deduced that I'm town (scum could easily fake that). At the same time, he hasn't done anything suspicious in my eyes.

Nice to see that everyone made it through the night alive. It sounds like we have some news on the way. I have a feeling it's going to be a boring day until it's revealed.

Vote: Andrew Gordon (Scubacarrot)

Holy Mackarel! This turns the day upside-down.

Thanks for the explanation. I find it strange that you would believe part of the roleclaim and dismiss the other, but obviously a lot of conversation has happened since then, so I think this is irrelevant. Perhaps you're a flailing scum trying to find a reason to seem indispensable. There's even less of a reason for a townie to make that claim, because you wouldn't want to reveal night action coordination.
-
York's roleclaim makes no sense whatsoever. A Serial Killer who can give their ability to someone else and has to get night-killed to win? You have got to be kidding me. Seriously? When your life is on the line, you can't expect us to believe that a huge difference in terminology was a simple slip-up. The other confusing part about your roleclaim is WHEN the so-called action transfer takes place. In the first quote, it sounds like you have to make a pact with the person you're transferring it to first. In the second quote, it sounds like you automatically pass the action on to a person of your choice as soon as you're killed. If you're going to make a crazy roleclaim like the one you've brought forth, you have to be consistent. I'd like to hear a good answer to this too. You seem suspicious. Within a single post you heavily contradict yourself. You start by fearing the consequences of York siding with the scum, and then suddenly switch to a position of disbelief. What are you playing at?
-
Hmmm, I wasn't convinced Burbank was scum, so I didn't vote for him, but I was getting fairly suspicious of Donna. Nabbing a neutral isn't a clear victory, but it's certainly better than losing another townie. Can you refresh my memory and tell me exactly how we've done this recently? To me it just sounds like you're echoing thoughts expressed on previous days without adding to the conversation.

General Discussion and Announcements

I can see it now... TREE STUMP MAFIA! Help root out the evil lumberjacks who are destroying the forest! -
I'm naturally more of a lurker type, so I'll really only come forward if there's a point or accusation that I think is worth expanding upon. No, I don't think everyone thought the same way I did (though several people mentioned it). I agree that that reason alone would be a poor reason. The point I'm trying to make is that the situation on Day 2 was a little more complicated rather than an exact repeat of Day 1. On Day 1 I thought Mandel was scummier than Pewter, but that didn't mean I thought Pewter was town. It wasn't a "change of heart" to vote for the next suspicious person when my top suspect was eliminated. Most of the analysis would have only been useful if Pewter was scum. In theory we would have looked at anyone who brushed off the case (myself included) as a potential scum cover-up, but we obviously know that method wasn't going to work when Pewter showed up as town. You happy?
-
On Day 1 I felt there was a stronger lynch candidate. Even though I passed Pewter's comment off as joke didn't mean I thought he was town. I voted for him the second time because I thought we could possibly learn some useful information for today. I wasn't the only one who believed we could learn something:
-
You want to hear from me? Sure, here goes. I'm not sure why this merits a vote. If I brushed it aside as a joke, and he turned out to be scum, then of course I would look suspicious. But he was town, so I wasn't trying to "cover up" for him. I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. News breached? Not sure what you're referring to. When I voted for Mandel he had more votes than Pewter. Actually you're wrong. On Day 2 we voted him out so we could analyze the voting patterns from Day 1. Unfortunately he turned up as town so we couldn't draw any major conclusions like we hoped. Again, your analysis doesn't quite make sense. First, you assume that scum voted for both. Likely but not guaranteed. Next, you assume that the number of scum who voted for each is proportional to the total number of votes each person received. Now that's a bit of a stretch. While it's certainly honorable to try to make progress, I think you're stumbling in the wrong direction.
-
It's an interesting theory that you've brought forth, but I'm sorry to say that you're wrong. I can confirm that the information published by the doctor is 100% correct. I know you have nothing to believe besides our word, but don't make the mistake of voting one of us out for trying to share what we know. Besides, it would be silly to kill Mandel just so "we" could spread misinformation. How would we know that Mandel hadn't told someone in private how the scum team was organized in the simulation? We could easily get called out on the claim. I don't agree with the theory testing, but if you have other reasons to lynch the doctor, then I won't stand in your way. Also notice that I didn't just jump on the bandwagon - I actually wrote out a number of logical accusations against him! Hopefully you can see that my suspicion was genuine.
-
Wonderful night results, I see. I don't understand how townies could find so many different ways to appear genuinely scummy. I hope today will turn out better. Aha, that makes perfect sense! I was wondering why a member of the town would make a crazy claim like that. Thanks for that bit of analysis.
-
Vote: Brian Pewter (Palathadric) A fine plan in my opinion.
-
Everyone can't be helpful all of the time. I know your statement was intentionally provocative, not genuine frustration, so I'm sure you understand that there are other aspects of life too. I don't know, I actually find this to be plausible. No one in their right mind would joke about being scum (unless it involves excessive crying too). It makes we wonder what Pewter's motivation was, if it was indeed some sort of twisted strategy. The godfather theory is the only explanation that floats to surface. Of course, that's assuming his intention was strategy, which is unfortunately something we can only speculate about.
-
Well, looks like Mandel was town after all. Although I kept my vote for him yesterday, our private correspondence after the day ended lessened my suspicions. I don't understand why the scum would have killed him. He clearly had people accusing him in the day thread, so why kill him if there was a chance he would be voted out? I guess we can't assume that it was the scum who killed him. Let's try to get our act together today.
