I don't own the Pirate Tank, so I can't compare, but it measures about 11 x 8 1/4 inches or 27.5 x 20.5 cm, which I believe is one of Lego's standard sizes. It's a bit taller than the catalogs.

According to the US Lego Store Calendar for September, you can "get the new Lego catalog" starting September 5th. I'd expect it up maybe a few days after that. Hope this helped.

Brilliant sets you've got here Skalldyr! The camera is beautiful as are the bar scene and villa- the micro version is perfect! I eagerly await your Brickfilms.

REVIEW: 8684 LEGO Minifigures Series 2
Inconspicuous replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Excellent review, WhiteFang! I'm very jealous of your collection. You wouldn't believe what luck it took me to even get a single set of Series 1 here in the states- I'm quite scared for what Series 2 will bring! These figures are just so amazing, I must have them regardless of what it takes. My personal favorites are the Mexican, Spartan, Mime, and Surfer. I've promised a part-Mexican friend of mine that I'd get him the minifigure- he sounded ecstatic! I'm sure he'll also appreciate the surfer and lifeguard, since he's an incredible swimmer. They went all out on those two! And everyone already know how awesome the Spartan is.. Thanks again for the review, and I eagerly await the unveiling of the event/contest. -
Wonderful MOC, Matn. When a very interesting idea meets a brilliant builder, this is what happens! The pink roofing is just perfect, and the flowers, teacups, and kitten are completely relevant and hilarious. For some reason I'm not recognizing Puddifoot's face. Where is it from? Awesome job.

Now I'm really sorry I ever doubted you- and I'm of course glad you weren't voted out! Thanks for leading us to two victories on a row, and a extremely likely third for a hat trick! But Jolie is the only one who has succesfully led us to voting a Hallowed. If I recall correctly, Miss Bathory confirmed otherwise. See you later, gramps! Vote: Crudo Alakhazam / Big Cam ----------------------------- It obvious that we'll vote off Crudo today, but why don't we start analyzing our next round of suspects? Jolie's great lists are a great place to start; here are two that stuck out to me. LOKI There seems to be a few of us suspicious of Loki. He hasn't done much, perhaps to avoid attention? Jolie seems to always be right and Professor Longbottom is quite trustworthy, so this is looking like a good option for tomorrow. XANDER I'm pretty sure her goal is to simply survive; Brandon the serial killer wanted all of us dead. You seem like you're trying to make Jolie suspicious, or are just a misguided innocent who's forgetting her value. Well, this seems to redeem you a lot. Thanks for doing that! Despite your last few posts, I'd say you're most likely innocent. ----------------------------- Got it. At this point I'm confident Crudo is Hallowed, let's hope we can keep up this streak and finally rid ourselves of this menace once and for all!

I'm in the process of preparing for a mini production of Hamlet, one of my favorite plays. I always wanted to build something from it in Lego, and I thought now was the perfect time. What I also realized was that I could incorporate a rat into it, and enter it in this contest! Here goes: Hamlet finds himself lost when he is left to avenge his father's death. In Act III Scene IV of the famous play, he meets his mother in her bedchamber and hears someone hiding behind an arras. He delivers the infamous line "How now! a rat? Dead, for a ducat, dead!" and stabs them without looking, horrifying his mother, and removes the drape to discover his victim, Polonius. But what if his victim really was a...? Larger pictures available here. C&C welcome and thanks for looking! Inconspicuous

What a fast finish! That's got to be a record (minus the 24 hour non-voting period). Sorry that I'm haven't been putting in the most meaningful posts. I've found myself a little short on time this week. Hopefully I'll be able to post more frequently in the next few Days.

I love this! We seem to finally have solid evidence, thanks to our impartial Jolie. If Jingle has to be the killer, I will gladly vote: Jingle / Dragonator.

Always glad to help! I think you pretty much figured it out on your own, though. I really like the concept- it made me chuckle. The assassin figs are great too. As for the rest of the vignette, it looks too "junky" and dusty for my taste. I would like this MOC a lot more if it took place at a more recognizable planet or location. Good job.

my MOD - Indy's Chauchilla Cemetary Battle
Inconspicuous replied to LegoDad42's topic in LEGO Licensed
You're most certainly welcome. I always appreciate it when people comment on my work, and I thought I'd give back a little too. I see now what the problem is. My suggestion would be to use a different system to hold the removable section in place. If you had some plates among the tan tiles, you wouldn't need the bricks at all, which would get rid of your problem. If you still wanted to keep them, maybe an earthy color like dark green or brown would work for both sections. Yeah, I've always liked (and been jealous of) those MOCs with a gazillion cheese slopes and the fanciest rock formations. My main concern with yours was the inward slopes in the chute. I don't think rocks are usually that way, or even symmetrical for that matter. But again, just a nitpick. I'm always glad to help. I look forward to more of your work. More Indy MOCs perhaps? -
Wow! I didn't expect the prizes to arrive so fast! And I didn't expect the Stormie to be so chrome. Thanks again!

But if the vote is secret, then why would a Hallowed even do that? If for whatever reason the Hallowed wanted to vote against each other, they would do it in the day thread, to confuse things. I think an innocent person controls the secret vote.

my MOD - Indy's Chauchilla Cemetary Battle
Inconspicuous replied to LegoDad42's topic in LEGO Licensed
Simply stunning, LegoDad42! As I foraged through your Flickr, new details popped up at every turn that changed my opinion from a "very cool piece" to a "stunning masterpiece". I really like the premise of the work- to build a scene around the set. Quite honestly, I would call this an 'MOC' not an 'MOD'. You've added so much that the official set just blends right in! First, I would like to compliment some of your intricate details. I'm amazed by some of the larger details like the chute and the hidden chamber. The chute is a brilliant idea and the hidden chamber totally caught me off guard. I also like some of the subtler details, like the addition of a beard to the skeleton and the decorations on the outside of the MOC. In terms of suggestions, I have two tiny complaints. The two tan Technic bricks on top of the tunnel looked out of place before I realized their purpose. I think a different color would work better there. The second thing is that some of the rock formations look a little odd- most notably the exit of the chute. I think that using cheese sloped would really help here. Overall, the minor nitpicks don't detract from the experience. You've captured the spirit of the scene quite well and I applaud your endeavor! -

Hooray! I actually won something! I'm quite surprised considering all of the other wonderful entries. I extend my congratulations to my fellow winners, Fat Tony and marshal banana, and my thanks to my fellow competitors for making this an exciting challenge. This contest brought out building abilities I never knew I had- I've never seriously built anything so big! I could let this speech ramble on, but I'll just say thanks to KimT and Stash2Sixx for hosting and wrap it up!

Well, I'm back from my travels, and gee did I miss a lot! As always, the sets are great Sandy. The game is whirling faster and faster, like a giant centrifuge, flinging us off into madness.

Oh, damn. Things went terribly wrong last night. Not only two deaths, but some weird happenings on my end too. With several votes cast against me, and possibly more on the way, I guess I have no way out other than to explain everything about myself. I really don't want to do this, but I guess I'm left no choice at this stage. As far as I know, my night action is the ability to protect. I'd done this with no issues the last few nights. However, I knew someone was going to block Ms. Ching from investigating last night, since her action was revealed, so I decided to step in. I cast the spell 'Protego' on her, thinking I was doing good. However, she ended up blocked somehow. Ms. Ching, would you care to explain exactly how you found this out? For if it was me who truly blocked you, I fear that I'm a Paranoid Protector (I block my target in addition to protecting them). If that's the case, I need to be more careful about my targets. You have every reason to have your votes now, but I hope you can trust me on this. I'm just a simple innocent that tried to do something important and made things worse. I hope you can forgive me. However, Miss Desiree Jackson seems to suspect that Sheila Bones is also a protector. Although it's not too far-fetched to have two slightly different protectors in this crazy game of life, I find that slightly suspicious. Going along with some of the previous suspicions about her, I will vote: Sheila Bones / Matn. I'm not so sure about you. Oh, one last thing. Miss Jolie Jadis, would you care to explain your little fake vote-controlling scheme? I've wanted an explanation to back up your see-through lie.

Looks like a good deal! If I was in the area and I was a train fan, I'd probably pick it up. However, this probably belongs in the Buy, Sell, Trades, Finds forum, since it is after all a "find". Also, it's probably not a good idea to have someone else's real contact info in your post. Interesting find, though.

Just a heads up, I'll be traveling from tomorrow through Sunday. I should have Internet access, but if for whatever reason that doesn't work out, you'll know why I'm not participating. The game's been a blast so far! Sandy, I'm loving all the gorgeous sets and lavish language. Probably the best Mafia experience I've had here at Eurobricks.

Review: 20016 Mini Imperial Shuttle
Inconspicuous replied to Inconspicuous's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The "XG-3 Star Wing"? Yeah, there's an alternate model in the magazine, but I had no idea that it was an actual Star Wars ship. I thought it was some garbage they made up. -

Review: 20016 Mini Imperial Shuttle
Inconspicuous replied to Inconspicuous's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Walter is right here. If they're releasing a set similar to an older version, I would honestly hope it would be better. It's just that some of the details are a painfully obvious de-improvement that brings down the ratings for me. But if you're honestly looking to buy the set, base your opinions off of the pictures and comments, not the final ratings. I actually got the majority of my mini collection from my Grandmother. It's honestly a bit of luck and coincidence. One massive review, two new set reviews in a matter of days. I was a bit surprised this one got it, but I'm equally happy. Thanks for the comments! -
Sydney Opera House Large Scale Lego Set
Inconspicuous replied to metalgearsolid's topic in General LEGO Discussion
If this turns out to be real (which it certainly sounds like right now), this is tremendous news! Although something bigger than the Taj Mahal will most definitely be out of my budget range, it sounds like a big treat for the lucky ones who get it. I know that there was some discussion about making an Architecture set of it, but this seems to be much more. Oh, and I love the idea of a speed-building contest! Thanks for the promising news.
