Best new theme was Agents IMO, and I voted Castle for best theme otherwise. Orcs, a witch, maiden, jester, and the Battle Wheel were all awesome. On a mildly related note, I haven't seen many posts from you, Piranha. Where've you been?

Name these near-dozen times, will you? the Makuta's a villainous badass on par with Darth Vader [except we didn't see him as a wussy kid and a teen chock-full-of-angst-grr]. I really liked 2008, there were some weak bits [ignika solving the story again] but it really won out in the end. Very bold of Greg to end it the way he did.

Looks very nice, but may I suggest you mottle some tan into your figurehead, to make it look more like stone? Cause I doubt the medieval pimp hires a naked giantess to stand there for hours on end :P And another suggestion - extend the legs down to frame the doorway perhaps?

Well, just briefly looking on Wikipedia I see that ghouls are originally from Arabic folklore, as well as a concept of something called the Evil Eye. With The Hobbit and the bridge film coming out in the 2010-12 area [the timeframe that would be possible for these sets], Sauron [a big evil eye] will be back in everyone's minds, and ghouls are [by my understanding] shapeshifting zombies. Both of those seem very sellable concepts for some Arabic-themed knights to fight, don't they? EDIT: Hey, I'm a Count now. Neat-o.

I voted the jester hat as it's just something Castle fans have wanted for years, but I can certainly see the merits of the Mutt hair as well.

The Jester hasn't been in any other sets, it's not really a preview is it... Actually I don't want elves very much at all - what I would rather have, and would fit in with the new fantasy Castle, would be a sort of mystical Crusades theme - one side with Middle East-type coloring and figs, and the other very Templarish, but with griffins and hippocampuses - we already have the Buckbeak for that! Actually considering how European pretty much all the Castle sets have been an Arabic castle could be considered fantasy by the kids on its own merits.

How so? The only statement by anyone affiliated with Lego is a designer saying there won't be elves in '09. And I will rebut the logic you might try to use with a question of my own - If I say there won't be South Park Lego in '09, does it increase the chance that it will be in '10?
