My purism - Lego bricks only, but cutting tubing and creative sticker use is okay. And yes, my creations [apart from brief forays into custom cloth things] fit that category. I appreciate non-purist and custom stuff [except for the countless 'cust0m kl0ne k0mmand0!''s ], I just don't build it myself.

Ooh, sweet! It looks very curvacious and menacing, and I love to see that people are still doing combo models when they're not on the box art.

6000? Wow, I feel like such an old fart now... And OG members? What's OG?

Oh, anything for more onion domes

Congratulations on the promotion! Although I'm wondering, what new duties do you take on as a Root admin as opposed to a Walrus Admin? Also, who is going to administrate those rowdy walruses now?

Studs Not In a Row. Something similar [also from the unofficial guide to Lego Techniques] is AZMEP - which is a german acronym for the half stud offset [i don't know what it actually means in German, sorry].

OLD Mafia and Mystery Games Index

Dragonator, when exactly is 'coming soon'? Just because I've never played a Mafia game here before, and I'm looking forward to signing up for one. -
Yeah, but there hasn't been enough mask-kolhii and catchphrasery. And how, just how, can we keep the dimension-hopping restrained to one serial? Also, thought - Mata Nui won't turn Roxtus and the rest of the giant robot into a new Great Spirit so he can have a frakkin' giant robot fight with Makuta, he'll wait for Vezon to pop in then head back to the MU to defeat Makuta in a game of pass-the-Thornax, which naturally Makuta will have no knowledge of. Also, friendship'll factor in there somewhere.

I adore Supreme Dalek. He meshes with your prior Dalek design really well and just looks great. Really looking forward to the big D[avros]! Also, I noticed from your comments that you don't really like the Simm Master, and I'm curious as to why?

I'd like to see some minifig pieces from older themes, plus more parts in rarer colors like dark brown and burnt orange. This way, PAB isn't a slightly more expensive BL alternative - it's a way to stock up on parts that were once rare and expensive. Maybe even a PAB-exclusive [initally, of course] recolored brick or two.

As long as it wasn't too detailed [like, as long as it's just wild stringy hair and not individual snakes] Medusa hair could be very useful indeed. I voted Greeks, as well. Sure, Rome has some interesting stuff, but people still remember 300 [spartans], not to mention there's enough mythology for five themes instead of one! If Lego wanted to go a more straight historical way, they could do the Illiad. If they wanted to do a story-driven and slightly fantastic theme, they could do the Search for the Golden Fleece/The Odyssey. Or if they wanted to go all out with crazy figs and wild fantasy, they could do the Olympian Gods [plus Hades and Dionysus!]

Imagine Yourself as a Lego Set Designer.

UCS Scale Siege of Acre Big wall with a catapult, with 2 houses [cleverly build as to resemble more, though] behind and a dock w/Sea Serpent-sized ship docked there. And Saladin, King Richard the Lionheart, 2 Acre citizens, 3 Saracens, 2 crusaders and 1 Templar. All on plates [changing colors - trans-blue for the water, burnt orange and bley for the streets, and dark brown and green for outside], too, so that it looks better and is slightly more swooshable. -
Hello! This is me.

Very nice! I love your Ten - nice solution for the torso, and yellow figs are always good! Your Daleks are really good too - I think the head could use a bit more detail, though. Hope you tackle an Emperor!
-
According to Brickset I own 96 sets, 75 minifigs[as many of my sets are Bionicle], and just over 8700 parts. I feel so inadequate.
-
I've seen enough movie/CW sets and reduxes - what I want is Outbound Flight sets! Imagine! Vagaari ships, Dreadnoughts [not to mention a modular Outbound Flight frame to house them on]. Which would of course lead into Heir to the Empire sets!
-
While I don't think there'll be more TFU sets, I adored that game despite its shortcomings and would love there to be some more. Although, for sets apart from the Rogue Shadow, there's not much for vehicles [although a TIE assembly line with a TIE, an unconstructed one, and an AT-CT would work, along with other playset-type sets]. The minifigs would be brilliant though - imagine a trans-purple and gunmetal skeleton as Proxy! The Sith Stalker would be great too [a Twin helmet could work], and I'd love a lightsaber hilt designed to be held the way Starkiller does. Not to mention the glorious legions of various Stormtroopers - Purge Troopers, flamethrower troopers, Stealth Troopers, the annoying jetpack troopers, etc.
-
A couple more deeplinks would be nice about now, but what I see I really like - the sheerness of the cliffs works well here. The fig posing seems good too [especially the Crownie being thrown off the cliff], although I think that little waterfall could use a bit more life.
-
It could be used as a jelly baby if one was to build a Bionicle-scale Fourth Doctor... As for what I actually think is a terrible part - the Fabuland baskets without the + hole. Sure, they were good buckets, but that's all they could do, and if you stuck a tile in the base it was borderline impossible to get out.
-
Well, they've already done Robin, so it might be a good way to appease the Batman fans [especially if we got a Mad Hatter fig or someone like that] as well as draw in more kids. Plus I would kill for a dark blue hood from a potential Raven fig.
-
What is that? A shoehorn? It's more convenient and more useful in some cases than designing a whole dynamite piece when it could only have been used in one line back then - the actual dynamite piece pops up in two, three lines? SHIP cockpit.

I'm thinking of this sort of like the gap year going on in Doctor Who - Doctor Who itself is over for a while [Castle ending this year], but there's still specials to try and tide you over [PoP and other parts pack lines], so that when Castle returns, you're excited for it ['increasing the legend', even] and appreciate it a bit more. But yes, I am hoping for PoP to be a bit more in line with my interests, although I doubt Lego'll truly drop Castle for a licensed line again - it didn't really work out with Harry Potter as the replacement, did it?
-
It's for the best - this way, when Castle inevitably comes back, it'll be fresh and interesting, and the designers'll have had a year or so for new ideas. Maybe we'll have a straight medieval line in three years. Maybe we'll have ghouls, elves, and pseudo-Saracens. Who knows. But if this current line continues, I think it'll stagnate-it already has, to a degree. I think Svelte hit the nail on the head -
-
I voted 'No, it was good while it lasted' because it seems like Lego's almost running out of ideas for the current Castle line [apart from the spectacular MMV], and I think it would be best for it to go on hiatus for a year or two, so that when it returns it can be as good as it was in 2007. Maybe, just maybe, the good guys for Castle 2.0 can have a color scheme that doesn't involve dark blue?
