  1. Best source would definitely be BrickLink, in my opinion. Although if you can get your hands on a The Lost Tomb from the first year of Indy, that might be good.
  2. I've never seen that before, although I think it's pretty much what I had in mind. Would it be alright if I used that format for a Historic Themes equivalent, to start it off?
  3. Best - Either 10193 Medieval Market Village or 10185 Green Grocer, as they're both insanely detailed and exactly what AFOLs've wanted for a long time. Worst - I agree with The Cobra - that hospital is Barely even looks like a building.
  4. Malum, Zesk, Tuma Elemental and made the biggest impression on me when I saw the leaked pics, adorable, and pretty freaking cool, respectively.
  5. I disagree - I for one eagerly await the direct-to-video sequel, District 9:2, the romantic comedy between Tania and Wikus, in which the prawns are muppets!
  6. Or we could see one in the hand of Poseidon, or adorning Charon's ferry across the Styx, just sayin'.
  7. So, since keetong didn't post in the Day 5 thread, which one of the reserves is going to take his place?
  8. Over my tenure at Eurobricks, I've noticed that there really isn't that much discussion of the actual techniques we use in creations So an idea struck me. Why not have some topics in their respective forums, where builders could share favorite techniques relevant to their themes [sNOT waterfalls and crenelations in Historic Themes, expert greebling in Sci-Fi, new uses for Piraka heads in Bionicle, etc.] This wouldn't be like an arbitrary list of the techniques, more like a place to discuss and post them - whoever starts the topic would list their techniques, open the floor for discussion, and then note the posts further down which contain new techniques. The topics wouldn't even need to be stickied, either - I think that this is a new enough thing to discuss that the topics would thrive for a long time. If this came to fruition, here's the template for how a first post would go, just an example - This template could of course be refined, but I'd like to hear everyone else's opinions on this.
  9. Haha, this is really nice! I especially like the multiple propellers. Makes me think that there should be some sort of drunk build-off!
  10. Wow, thanks for all this info! Was one of these lesser Glatorian cameos from Malum, by any chance?
  11. Taking into all the 'Power Miners is racist/Mars Mission is racist' stuff, this theme looks to be pretty morally ambiguous - the humans have the usual 'evil' colors, and the Atlanteans have the usual 'good' colors, but naturally the humans'll be the heroes.
  12. Oh, I remember way back when, we were gonna get an updated Tahu - it was a bit underwhelming in execution, really I hope this is fake - I'd rather not have BIONICLE Justice League. Or the awesomeness of the Bohrok ruined.
  13. What is that first thing, Hannibal Lecter the Ood? I personally don't see any resemblance between it and the Cthulhu thing - the Atlantean's head looks like a trans-light blue diving visor attached to Dracula/Joker hair, and I see a dark blue torso and black hands in that pic as well. It seems more sci-fi than Lovecraftian horror, in my opinion.
  14. Thanks for the bigger pic, I have a few observations about the set now. - I see two silver Mantax claws attached via the old hand piece [pre-2009] to a old Toa/Vahki arm, which then attaches to the main model on either the wheel or directly in front of it - seems pretty likely that this is how the saw blade is attached. - The vehicle looks to only have one wheel in the back. - Considering that the trident man is holding what looks to be the same plate-type part as depicted in the corner of the box art, this may be like a collectible sort of piece. - Definitely two factions in this theme: humans, who are trans-lime, red[dark red?] and black [i'm pretty sure they're human because I see a yellow head in the dome], and Atlanteans, who seem to be gold, light blue, and dark blue.
  15. While I'm not in the game [i hope I'm even allowed to post in this thread ], I've been following it, and this is really heating up now, isn't it? Also, TinyPies seems to be doing a great job as host
  16. Happy Birthday Ricecracker and SirNadroj! I look forward to pics of potentially enormous birthday hauls!
  17. It looks awesome, that's for sure. I just hope that this trans-lime/dark red/black vehicle isn't another baddie - that's the color scheme for half of Lego's in-house villains, isn't it?
  18. Neither do I, and this stuff should belong in Brick Flicks & Comics.
  19. Brilliant. Apart from how much detail you've crammed into the side of the building, I love how the icicles make it look like the whole vignette is crying along with the jester. And the bird is very nice, too
  20. Do I spy a new torso on the already awesome male caroler?
  21. You can do flails already, see - Karzon. And Hewkii's chains work for that purpose, too.
  22. Wait, so does this mean that Strakk'll have a substantial role in the movie, then? Because I've been under the impression for a while that Strakk wasn't in it. Also, has anyone heard anything on Malum having a presence in the film, then? Oh, yeah, and I like Strakk's voice but Raanu sounds a bit too...fancypants at the end of the clip.
  23. Yep, you got some Mega Bloks on your hands...I actually own the bottom right guy [never used him in anything though], although he's got normal Lego legs on him instead of MB legs.
  24. I like this, looking forward to seeing it complete! Maybe the room you've already got built, could it be a sort of rec room? It's got a couple good windows, maybe put a ping-pong table or a retro arcade machine in? Vending machine, too.
  25. I have to say that this level creator looks promising - I love that the alien's doing the terraforming :P
