Minifig parts and accessories you don't like
Abaddon127 replied to AmperZand's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I don't like the Flintlock Pistol, or the Flintlock Musket. If they could just lengthen the barrels of both, and get rid of the Blunderbuss muzzles, I'd love them. -
Lego themes that we would like to happen
Abaddon127 replied to YellowCorvette's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Here are my picks. 1. A futuristic, cyber-punk version of City. Think Blade Runner, Ghost in the Shell, etc. 2. A hard-fantasy theme similar to D&D. Mentioned by several others previously, it is a popular pick for a good reason. It wouldn't even have to be licensed either. Just bring back the AWESOME Fantasy Castle line from a few years ago. The Elves never got their due, and they could battle Lizardmen. 3. A good Steampunk theme. Yet another popular choice, it's never been done properly.- 451 replies

As somebody with an appreciation for MASSIVE castle builds, I LOVE this.

Now THIS is just greatness. I love the heavily armored look of it. It looks like it can take a real beating and still keep going.

Great job there! I especially like the engines.

This is completely awesome. Nice detail work, scene taken from one of my personal favorite movies, and great work on the figs. This MOC has it all. WELL DONE!

Lord of the Rings minifigs custom
Abaddon127 replied to Tomcat RIO's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I'd like to commend you on your outstanding work. My favorite is Legolas, you've done an excellence job correcting what I consider to be a gross oversight on the part of TLC when designing the licensed fig. The addition of the quiver and the fighting knives is truly a work of art. WELL DONE! -
That's exactly why walkers have never taken off in real world armed forces. However, this is subject to Rule of Cool, and is a winner in my book.

Nice work, now all you need is a Turok to hunt them back into extinction.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 6 Discussion
Abaddon127 replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I have to say, that I LOVE this series. I have more Bandits, Highlanders, and Minotaurs than I really know what to do with. I only have 5 Romans though, and am looking for more. I only found ONE Elf from Series 3, so I'm making up for this shortfall by snatching up all the Romans I can. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 6 Discussion
Abaddon127 replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
This is a good technique, but I found my Romans by finding the spear. The spear has a flexible tip, the laser blasts from the Alien and Space Girl, and the axe handle from the Minotaur lack this piece. The rest of the figs have no accessories that feel anywhere close. Funny story about Series 6. I stopped in my local TRU to feel a bag or two, but I was in a hurry. I felt the blaster pistol, but forgot that the Grey Alien has the same one. I was happy because I thought I had the Space Girl I was looking for. I was a bit disappointed to find the Alien. I have since rectified this mistake. -
Crownies=most boring Castle faction?
Abaddon127 replied to dwarf-brik's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I disagree with the OP as well. Having missed out on the GOlden Age of LEGO Castle, the Crownies are one of my favorite fantasy armies. Their resemblance to Gondorians from LOTR is awesome as well. -
Nice work, I really like that movie, and wish I could get my hands on at least one Spartan.

How open are you about your Lego passion?
Abaddon127 replied to Fugazi's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I am definitely an out of the closet AFOL. I have been a FOL for 20+ years. I probably love LEGO a little bit more than is entirely seeing as how my collection of instruction booklets alone weighs more than 15 pounds. I keep the instruction booklets from every set I buy unless it is multiples, then I only keep one copy. My dad is no fan of my hobby, but I couldn't care less. I consider LEGO a creative outlet, and aspire to be an artist on the level of Keith Goldman and Jasbrick some day. -
I love it. I am a huge fan of WH40k, but I don't actually play the game. I simply read the novels, and codices. I like the Ultra, you did a great job. I would really love to see a version of the Black Templars, Dark Angels, Space Wolves, and Salamanders. A Grey Knight in terminator armor would be cool as well.

Bobskink good sir, My heartiest compliments to you regarding your Alien and Predator figures. They are top-notch work, and beautiful to look at. I'd love to see your take on a Colonial Marine to complete the trifecta of carnage. On a side note, if you were to construct a mold of your Alien head, body and tail apparatus, I would be interested in purchasing a couple dozen, and I am sure others would be as well.

Great job! I really like the good guy, he reminds me of the angels on the videogame Darksiders.

I fully love this design. I don't personally own any Brickarms, but I would buy large quantities of this one. I would also like to second the idea for a matching BA flintlock style pistol without the ridiculous blunderbuss muzzle.

I like this piece of work. Just out of curiosity, was this sort of "recruitment" technique actually used by navies of the time?

I LOVE the food chain vig.

Power miners... ending!?
Abaddon127 replied to Omicron Squad Leader's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I have to say, I probably would have liked PM much more without the Lime-Green & Orange color scheme. I do have one of the smaller sets, and would like to get a few of those shiny silver figs from the current wave. Whatever LEGO does to replace PM, I just hope they stay away from stickers. -
You did a great job. I saw the film for the first time recently, and loved it.

The Penguin's SW minifigures..... )

I really love your work Mr. Penguin. I would love to see you do some 40k custom work.
