  1. After realizing my camera battery is not functional atm, I had to test my iPhone's camera on a minifig. Added some 0815 effects, turned out to be not as bad as I expected. Hipster Wolffe by Bane
  2. It has been quite a while that I didn't come around to the forums, it is nice to see that you did not stop with your funnies Oky (and all the other creative people here). Keep it up! My first thought when I saw the new Tarantino trailer was exactly the same - Tarantino + a guy called Django must be good The Bush/Boushh one is very nice. Greetings -Bane
  3. Nice work on designing the Bantha. Very cool stuff. Even if the cuusoo project fails, I think it might be possible that LEGO releases a set with a bantha. Supported! Greetings -Bane
  4. A review of Jabba's Palace has been done by IdS user NoIR DsIR. Sidasa also finished his review of Palpatine's Arrest. I don't know if there have already been reviews about those sets, but we got some more for a couple of days now, like Gungan Sub or Desert Skiff. If you're interested, take a look at our reviews forum. http://www.imperiumdersteine.de/forumdisplay.php?f=250 Greetings -Bane
  5. Well, even if the colours of the Mando ship look a bit.. flashy, it still looks quite good. Pre Viszla is awesome. I really like how they made the minifig - but I have to say he reminds me Palpatine. Palpatine's Arrest is still not good enough to justify the price. Greetings -Bane
  6. @Ricecracker: No, the thread was just right. "In the future", just think two more seconds before closing, maybe I'd have liked to answer. Closing this kind of topic make us feel as if you don't want to hear any criticism, moreover that action can be interpreted incorrectly. And Erdbeereis told me that's not what the staff wants. I know that, I meant the ACP of the EBSWblog. We try to watermark our pictures when the team got them at first (what happens rarely, as users got them most of the time). We can't control if users watermark the pictures they upload, but I thought about another way. We will open a thread about watermarking so this kind of unnecessary discussion and confusion over the internet won't have to happen again. We thank you for your cooperation, and sorry if my post sounded a bit harsh. No offense guys Greetings -Bane
  7. Sidasa continues with his review of Palpatine's Arrest. The actual progress: http://www.imperiumdersteine.de/showthread.php?t=26655 -please delete. already posted. -
  8. Hello, I write here in the name of the Imperium der Steine staff, that one german-speaking LEGO Star Wars forum, and also in the name of our user Sidasa, who took the Palpatine's Arrest photos you'll find all over the internet now, on your front page and on your SW blog (yes, that photo is not from eurobricks, oh wonder). There is something you (with you, I mean the Eurobricks staff) never understood. This may be the biggest and largest AFOL community worldwide, many LEGO blogs and sites might take their news from here and you surely have a great audience. <- this doesn't automatically give you the copyright of the materials you use on your front page. We're on the internet here. We love LEGO news and we also love to share photos and information we got with the world. There is no problem with that. As said, everyone is free to repost and share our photos, as long as you don't omit to give the source. There is NO way and no excuse for not doing this. Sourcing is not only a copyright-thing, it is foremost an act of respect between communities. We love eurobricks and we are thankful for the many informations, interesting topics and the news we get from here. We from Imperium der Steine always give credits to whom its due. It's an unwritten principle in our team. FBTB, hoth bricks and many other sites gave credits as usual, why not eurobricks? The best known LEGO forum should be an example for other sites. I saw a blog who didn't even know the photo came from Germany and sourced eurobricks (as they source everything eurobricks...) There are two possibilities. Either you just write where the photos come from on your front page and in that blog article (that's what we want) or you delete the pictures (that's what we don't want). BTW, that's the counterpart to "creative commons by-nc-sa". That's just fair play. Think about it. Thank you for reading. Greetings -Bane PS: Beyond that, I'm wondering if the "rebel blogger" team looks at their admin control panel only every three days or if my comment (about that) just vanished.
  9. Sidasa got lucky. I could go to the Berlin store which is like 7 minutes away from where I live, but I'm too lazy. I'm sure they have it too. But I don't even got the money . Anyway. Blogged on Blog der Steine (there is an english translator), don't forget to bookmark. Sidasa is probably going to make a review soon. We'll let you know. When are the summer sets presumed to hit the shelves in the US? I think this set is nothing too exciting. Typical playset, overpriced, nice minifigs but nothing too new... They could have done this better. Greetings -Bane
  10. Hey guys, our reviewer Warthog got a review of the Gungan Sub. It's in German, but I know you just want to see the pictures. ;) http://imperiumdersteine.de/blog/erstes-review-zum-9499-gungan-sub/ (click on the picture to access to the review) Greetings -Bane
  11. That's surely a comic/drawing filter or something, yes. And I have to admit that I don't really know if I like this effect. The photos are very good, but that smooth drawing filter editing? Not sure if I like it, looks like... building instructions or something
  12. Well... I was in the Berlin LEGO Store today and they knew about TC-14. As always, only given away with Star Wars purchases and a fair repartition so there will be enough promos available for the fourth and the fifth (they got a pack for every day usually). Greetings -Bane
  13. I really like the first one! Great lightning and of course awesome setting. Did you use your PC screen for the background? Looks like it, and it looks good. It's a shame the rebel minifig on the right is cut; also, the two columns are not centered (what should be done in this kind of photos taken from the front). I don't like the angle of the second one, though. The rebel at the control panel disturbs the overall picture. Greetings -Bane
  14. Nice review. It's good that you also added original reference pictures, that's something which is missing too often in reviews (even if we all know what Vader looks like ) Your photos are a bit overexposed, though. The pics are not all sharp too, which is a bit annoying for a solo minifig review. No. The original price was 4,99€ (in some TRUs which didn't respected the guidelines you could buy Chromie separately ) or free as a promo when buying LSW for 25€ at TRU in 2009. High Five
  15. Nobody is using Comic Sans in there... awesome. I can post. Nice interview. Never understood the meaning of your name Clone O'Patra. Now I understand... And it's pretty obvious thinking about it now.
  16. Thanks guys! I appreciate your appreciations. The first shot is my favorite, too. The photos were edited with photoshop elements. Without, the pictures wouldn't be like that (especially the first one :) ) I'll try to make some more in a natural scenery. If you ever have the chance to come to Berlin, you should visit the Naturpark Südgelände (not only LEGO photographers). It's pretty nice. By the way, photo 2 and 3 were taken on this. Greetings -Bane
  17. New pictures around. Reconnaissance Troop on Lotho Minor Investigation on Brentaal IV Quinlan Vos - Boss On my homepage I am a big Quinlan fan. I own him as minifig since yesterday, had to make some pictures Hope you like it! Greetings -Bane
  18. I bought the Sith Nightspeeder yesterday. Thanks to the VIP points, I could get it for only 10€... 30 would have been to much. Review incoming :)
  19. But thanks anyways :)
  20. Watch out, we got some nerds over here... Hertha - Bayern München? Jedenfalls, your project is a real challenge. I would try this too, with buying all the pieces etc... if there weren't as many bricks Good luck!
  21. Well - actually, I thought the linking to flickr would be enough. I'll add the explanation unter the pics on eb too next time, as some people are apparently too lazy to click on the pic Greetings -Bane
  22. Wow. Incredible. I'm imagining how much time you've taken for making this great review. Very detailed, the photos are sharp and significant and the text tells everything we need. The trivia about the figs wouldn't have been necessary I guess, but totally worth it for the picture of Quinlan in the Sebulba scene - I was looking for that picture for ages. Nice comparison-pics, too. I ordered the frigate today; basically I wasn't interested in the ship (only wanted Vos and the rest), as I own the cruiser, but your photos may change my mind about reselling it. Thanks for the review! Greetings -Bane
  23. A misunderstanding indeed. I already wondered why they would bring back the black ARF. But if that USA/Canada promo has nothing to do with the May the 4th promo, why are you guys talking about it in here? Confusing Chrome protocol droid would be awesome. No damn ewoks please... They're wicket. (I know I know, bad joke xD) €dit: okay, got it.
  24. Wait... so it's official now? The May the 4th promo will be the Black ARF again? Does anyone know if it will be the same for Europe/Germany? If I understood correctly, this news is only for USA/CA... I like the Black ARF and I'd rather get a second one of him than something unnecessary like the mini TIE, but a new fig would be nice. Greetings -Bane
  25. What he's doing? He's riding a speederbike, don't you see it? Do you need a background story for every single shot or what? I wanted to stage a Mando in a random Desert. That's all. - Doc Ocks hairs are from Anakin (I didn't found the original one) - Spiderman's head is from Mace Windu - Anakin is in the background - The story is based on SW 'nuff said
