  1. Even if they were on plates, you would need 2 hands to carry them. Anything otherwise is asking for an accident.
  2. I’m just going to buy enough to finish my layout. Don’t chance it folks.
  3. I’d like to see a Winter Village town hall with maybe a public square that will house the towns Christmas tree.
  4. Baseplates come with each years modular building not to mention we got them with The Chinese Lantern Festival and Diagon Alley in the last two years.
  5. Great points! I have my skyscrapers (5 as of right now) in the one corner all grouped together. I have the baseplates in place for another 6-7 skyscrapers. It's my "downtown" section.
  6. Are you opposed to buying sets off of bricklink? You can get everything you want there.
  7. That's a great idea, I was thinking of doing something similar.
  8. I assume you are refering to me again. I told the cashier I was doing three seperate orders, I paid for my items and received my promos accordingly. I have been on the short end of the stick with ordering online and getting the promos, so if there is something I want, I make a plan to get there early enough.
  9. I hear ya. They have some good deals right now on the white lamp posts that I want to get with the new police torso. Hopefully there isn’t a run on them. I had three separate orders, usually my store allows a max of 2, but wound up giving me the third one. (I frequent my local store a few times a month, so I’m friendly with most of the employees.)
  10. Why not bricklink the market street? Just raise the levels by 1 brick for new doors and do something different with the hoses that are acting as railings. My big thing was, what building would make sense being next to a police station with jail like that, but at the same time, not being as tall as Town Hall.
  11. Does anyone know when they will update the site to buy new 2021 parts?
  12. I put the police station next to Market Street so you could better see the advertisement if you were walking on the street. I think it came out quite nicely.
  13. I put the police station next to Market Street so you could better see the advertisement if you were walking on the street. I think it came out quite nicely.
  14. Same cars, different roads. I really am not seeing the appeal for these new ones to be honest.
  15. The Harry Potter stuff is all back ordered now. I’ll have to add that to my shopping list today at my local LEGO store.
  16. What do you mean with it seems to suit me? The difference is that the new roads are 4 studs smaller in width than the current ones.
  17. It’s very vibrant. Great job.
  18. I can’t either now. I’ll jump on my computer and redo the link. This is such a hassle, Eurobricks doesn’t make it easy to show pictures. Here’s a link: https://m.imgur.com/gallery/yhlz2e5
  19. For those that are wondering how seamless the new roads will be with the old ones, I present this: The new road surface appears to be 4 studs smaller than the current roads, so it will take some work to make everything uniform in your city if you decide to go that route.
  20. Like seriously? What does a boat have to do with a modular street? Nothing.
  21. What’s inverted? Because it would be something different.
  22. The new sets are supposed to be street dated for Jan 1. Some stores are following those dates, while others are just putting on the shelves whatever inventory they have in stock. I know the Targets and Walmart’s around me are wiped clean, so some of the managers will put up stuff they’re not supposed to as to not loose Christmas shoppers.
  23. Good points. The lack of a “face side” for the inverted corner would be enough for the casual buyer to skip it also. I suppose we’ll never see one officially released.
  24. Not so much striking a nerve but little tolerance for those who think they are holier then thou. Its nice to know that giving a rationale of why I don’t like something is now considered humble-bragging. I guess you have missed the fact that the new roads appear to be 4 studs shorter in width than the current roads (not counting the studs on either side, the actual road portion). So using different ones will not look right. Lastly, thanks for the information about how to build the substructure of my city. Is there anything you don’t know? I’ll look forward to whatever conclusion you jump to next.
  25. How many studs high is the lavender side? Looks like 17 or 18?
