There's doors on the sides that open.
-
Yep. Otherwise I wouldn't have built it.

Thanks guys! I'm glad you like it! It rotates on the truck bed, with a pole sticking over the roof of the cab, if that made any sense.

A small rebel truck acting as a first step towards an opposing faction to my IDC. Kind of an odd build, but I enjoyed it in the end adding all the greebling together and what not. The large gun in the back is a recoilless rifle, if any of you may be wondering. Hope you like it! As always, for more pictures visit my Flickr or Brickshelf (when moderated/uploaded).

Thanks! I have some better pictures on my Flickr and Brickshelf, so feel free to check them out! Here are a couple:

Hey, thanks! I probably would have, but I am running really low on those now, and I'm saving them for another vehicle.
-
Very cool! I really like how you managed to cram everything into that truck!

I decided I needed another vehicle for my little faction to go with my Slither II and Frogger, so I made a truck. I really like how this one came out, especially with the back bars. Hope you enjoy! Overall view: Side view with stuff in the back: Another side view: More pictures can be found at Flickr or Brickshelf.

I really don't see why anybody could not like this. The design is spectacular, irregardless of design techniques, which should up to the the builder to figure out anyways. The colors mesh extremely well, and we get a firetruck! I'm glad they backed off with the micro details in every square inch of the building, like Green Grocer, which is still a great set, but the details almost make it look fake somehow. This is going to be a classic, and one that will change many of your opinions once it will come out. I'm just happy LEGO is still continuing on with the line of sets.

Cool! Great job with the faces!

I'm glad they simmered down on the details and focused more on the colors, so to speak. Don't get me wrong, but the details in GG or MS are a bit overwhelming for my liking. This has a simple, solid look to it.

This looks amazing! I'm surprised it's only $150 USD, especially with it's own vehicle and rare colors. Saving up.....now.

That's awesome! I love the simplicity of the interior bee hives, too.

I have some updated photos that I took. Hope you like them! And here's a link to my Flickr.

It's actually supposed to be a BTR-80, but close enough. :-)
-
It's based off modern technology though, so it could be used in exactly the same sense, but as you suggested, could be used in a smoke-screen or something. Also, there are satellites now to pinpoint enemy strong points and what not. I was thinking a little bit about the Higgins boat while building this, but also something from a game I used to play.

The Quick Response Vehicle (QRV) 'Slither' was built to supplement the AIC Frogger. It can carry four troops and is equipped with a 7.62mm machine gun up top. The doors open on the sides and it is seven wide. I'm still trying to decide what this little faction I'm making should be called, but I'll think of something here soon enough. Overall View: Another view: Top View: Hope you enjoyed it! Check out my Flickr and Brickshelf (when uploaded/moderated) for more pictures

and I'm glad you guys like it! However, the whole point for this build was to make it so troops could exit through the front, rather than what is commonly seen, the back. In a strategic matter these wouldn't necessarily be used in the leading edge of a frontal assault, contrary to the name, but that was the whole point of the turret up top, to provide cover fire for the troops. It would allow the troops to quickly run out and find cover, when cover was found, and set up their positions. May not be totally realistic, but that's the way I see it. Once again, thanks for the kind comments. I'll get the QRV uploaded here in a little bit.

I can see you put a lot of work into this. Great job, especially with the details.
-
Thanks, I appreciate it.

Well, this is something of a fictional build. It has some Russian inspiration hidden in their, but I thought it would be fun to make a fictional APC of some sort. AIC means Assault Infantry Carrier. Very cool! I just love how you displayed all the little tools that can be thrown in the compartments. Great work!

Gosh, that is amazing. Great use of the yellow bricks!

Thanks Richard! And thank you Hinckley! I really appreciate it.

It's kind of a different design compared to the regular CC type buildings. I built the facade first then I added the floors in, so now it is only the floors that come off. It's not really modular, but I could make it so, because even though the floors are the same, the plates beneath these holding them together are in different places, so it would not match up. I could have made it modular, but my supply of brown tile plates is very low. Thanks!
