Even for an "old moc", it's great. I love the great rum barrel and the shower... a nice way to celebrate!

Hi there, it's been a while since my last post but I was allways reading... After a study-related break I started a new modell ... it's going to be a frigate, possibly a Frenchman, since I got a bucket full of 2x2 red tiles at my local Lego Store... (why did they never have the 1x2 or 1x1 tiles :( ) The plan is to build her with accessable gundeck and cabin, as well as with a real rigging and not the old Pirates Lego Masts. So that where I need help. What parts do I need to shop for to create 3 Masts, a new Bowsprit, and what Technic parts are best to use in the rigging? A shoppinglist would by welcome :) First shots with my handy cam I guess credits are going to Perfectionist, Captain Green Hair, I loved your "Building a Frigate" thread and Admiral Croissant - his "Vesta" was and is quite an Inspiration so far, and everybody who helped them before with there ships. Frontview: Sideview: Stern: There is a black 1x8 Tile for the name - in the big black middle between the red stripes :) Gundeck: Details are still in to come, first I want to build the masts and things Captain's Cabin A table and maybe a small closet are going to be added. To Do: - Upper Deck - Masts - Rigging - Figurehead - black gun hatches (first thing on my shopping list) Thanks for any help!

It seems so, but since "revenge is a dish best served cold", mine still needs to cool down :) @Admiral Croissant Nice one! Could this work with Arjay, too?
-
Nice story, I like that you used the new Fort for the story. I myself, still don't know if I gonna buy one, or not :) But great work!
-
I like it. Looks great. I like the whole board update in general!
-
Damn, I missed that, great work, but revenge will be mine :)

Nice on! I guess I have to add you to the first line of redcoats to *censored* :) ... btw if the Beatles ähm the Sgt. Brickers Lonely Bricks Club Band are redcoats, than the Rolling Bricks are, blue, aren't they? That would be great because I like them better ...

I like it, and everyone knows, only a dead redcoat is a good redcoat. Go Bluecoats Go!

1. No, if I buy one, it's because of the look. 2. Individual, mostly ... some lines complete. 3. The Leaning Tower of Pisa, for to reasons, the leaning and i love the design and the arcs. 4. A great civil Harbor or a wilder version like Tortuga for the Pirate line, not in the way of the Imperial Trading Post but with a lot more details like the medival market, some more buildings, like a pub and a kontor, tons of goods to plunder for the pirates, some colored minifigs for the caribic feeling. No raised baseplates please! 5. Add more civil and non-army related things to the historical sets. Something in the way of the City Farm sets, but in a castle way and or pirate way. People would love that, me too. Create a new history line, like the Romans or Greeks. You can create villas, maybe a roadbuilding set, gladiators with animals, some market things and workshops, some temples with priests, a litter, horse races, philosopher schools, the senate with senators, and a lot more things. I guess it would be a lovely series, with a lot for young and old Lego fans and ideas for years to come. -
Just to get in the spirit..... Lovely, count me in, I read the old articles, lovely ideas... I like to be a blue coat, but I join any colour who needs members :)
-
Congratulations from me, too. Perfectionist must be quite happy, that he joined the contest with his "rushed" entry :) Well Done both. And thanks for all who voted for me.

So here is my vote, 1 Point for each: Etzel- The "Kalabalik" at Bender TinyPiesRUs - HMS Ambuscade vs. Bayonnaise, 14th Dec. 1798 Perfectionist - Battle of Fontenoy (May 11, 1745) It'was a hard choice and a hard competition to compete in :)

I must say, even for a rush it really looks great. Especially the field, the detail of the baseplate is an eyecatcher. Even in a simple area like without any buildings you put in a enormous amount of life and diversification with the different colors and the plants. I like to count the amount of Plant Flower Stems used in it. The poor bugger, who got his head in the way of the cannon ball is a nice detail, even if it is a bit bloody ;) Great work. Don't be so humble!

I love the scale and of it, especially the farm, it's a great moc with nice details, at the places you could put them... I really would like to see this MOC swarmed with blue coated Soldiers of d’Erlon and Ney. But who ownes that much alone... Great work anyway! Keep it on :)

I guess it's the only way with original Lego parts and the musket, without altering them, or glue them together
-
It's simple, even if it look clumbsy in comparison to the u-clips, bit it works. Put these two together. +
-
Thanks, I build on it off, for over 3 weeks. but not daily and sometimes just for some minutes. I guess it must be about 50 hours, since I rebuild the buildings twice.

The French Infantry is in trouble. The Cossacks try to conquer the guns at the windmill, supported by Prussian Landwehr Infantry. The Saxons surrender in panic. Meanwhile the Prussian Reserve Infantry attacks from the Belzig Woods into the City. The powder is wet, so it's only clubbing with rmuskets ans pistols and stabbing with bayonets for both sides. The French wagon can't leave. The Prussians are already there. Later it'll be captured by the Cossacks. A lot more pictures. Including some inside shots of the Buildings are here at my flickr. Hope you like it.

Great work. Do you have some more pictures?

1815 June 18th early afternoon, a little bit West from La Haye Sainte

Great Work. I love the it, that you build the ridge, even if I needed the last picture to recognize it ;) Great action, nice decals on the brown troop. Is Ney somewhere in your troops? whould have loved it, ... Great Job, well done! -
Just came back from a weekend trip and saw this huge entry. I love the way you recreated La Haye Sainte, especially with the impact in the main house and the barn. It looks great. I hope you can fill it up with some more Minifigs in action! It would be quite cool. Can't wait for the final entry. It seems that the competition is getting "bigger" :) Keep it up!
-
WOW. It's really great! I hate such a competition ;) Great work!

GREAT, Great, Great work so far. I love the black & white style. And I envy you for making the rigging - I'm to clumsy and impatient to do it myself. Please keep us updated!
