I havent posted on here in quite some time. Almost three years to be exact. I figured my return should be my accidental claim to success over on Reddit. With this stupid pun alone, I made front page, got reddit gold, and the second top post of all time on r/Lego, so without any further ado, I present to you "It's over Bananakin! I have the high ground" http://Untitled by Justin, on Flickr "You underestimate my potassium!" http://Untitled by Justin, on Flickr "Don't try it!" http://It's over Bananakin by Justin, on Flickr "hraaaaa!" http://Untitled by Justin, on Flickr http://Untitled by Justin, on Flickr

What Video Game(s) are you playing?
Mraz Skintas replied to Lego Spy's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Eh, it's not really anything gamefaqs could help with, its user error Also, since it's and old xbox game I bought used, it's not in the best of conditions, so it tends to freeze up from time to time. -'Skintas -

Watched Mr. Peabody and Sherman the other day. It was a great, had quite a few clever jokes and puns in it. Some rather adult oriented -'Skinta -

Xbox; KotOR, almost finished a dark side play through, taking a little break Xbox 360; CoD Ghosts and Blops2, with some Halo every now and then. Xbox One; Thief, Battlefield 4, and one of these days I'm gonna finally start Titanfall. Preordered it, got it, still haven't played it PC; Star Wars: The Old Republic. Was playing around a bit with the ftp, and once I realized it was double exp weekend, gave in and subbed for 2 months. Not a bad deal. I've only been playing for a the weekend and I already have a Jedi Knight up to 28 on Tatooine. I'd really like to see that game come to the next gen consoles -'Skintas -
Picked up two Old Republic battlepacks and the Jedi Defender Class Cruiser the other day. The battle packs are pretty nice, very detailed figs, and the while the cruiser is way underscale, its still a very nice display model, with some of the coolest Jedi figs I've seen to date. I hope we continue to get an Old Republic set every now and then, although I guess that's highly unlikely -'Skintas

Star Wars: The Clone Wars The Lost Missions
Mraz Skintas replied to commanderneyo's topic in Culture & Multimedia
The biggest issue with Jar Jar is the lack of character development for him. If they had him grow and mature he'd have potential to be a decent character. He had a few moments, but as silly as those episodes were, it was nice to have a couple badass Masteren Mace moments, and Mace centric episodes for that matter. -'Skintas -
A definite must buy for me. Oddly enough though my favorite parts of the set are the green R2 unit and the R1 unit. I just love those little astromechs and I'm always happy to have more. Looks like it'll be a great build, can't wait to get my hands on one -'Skintas

Star Wars: The Clone Wars The Lost Missions
Mraz Skintas replied to commanderneyo's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I finished watching The Lost Missions, and I still feel there were many gaps still needing to be bridged. While the episodes were relatively interesting, the Clones in the Clone Wars still felt rather lacking. I was really hoping that it would end in a way similar, or parallel even, to the micro series, with the Chancellor getting captured and Anakin and Obi Wan having to go save him. I'd also like to know why Yoda didnt speak of anything he saw in his vision. Maybe he realized that it was part of the bigger plan and necessary for the survival of the order in the long run, but still didn't make a ton of sense to me. Im rewatching the Order 66 arc, since the first time I watched it it was in German with subtitles. Hopefully it'll make more sense to me now Still sad to see the series end, since they had so much more ground they could have covered. Maybe Rebels will at least show the fates of some of the major characters not shown in Sith -'Skintas -
Another 3 Utapau trooper packs last night. Pretty much just building up an army (finally) of 212th troopers. This is hands down the best BP they've released as of yet.

Got 4 more Utapau Trooper Packs and Droid Gunship

Picked up a Grievous Wheel Bike myself yesterday. Pretty good price to part ratio, although most of the parts went to the wheel. Still a good little set nevertheless. Just need three more sets and I'll be done with this wave -'Skintas

Picked up a Police Gunship, Tri-Fighter, and V-Wing this afternoon. -'Skintas

What was the last movie you watched?
Mraz Skintas replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Since starting working at a movie theatre, I've seen almost every movie to be released since about July, so way to many to talk about all of em. I did watch second half of Robocop last night. It was alright from what I saw, nothing too exciting though. I also watched the LEGO Movie a couple days ago, and it was utterly fantastic. It was like a reawakening to my love of LEGO, and seeing the theatre filled with mostly adults (not just taking their kids) was a very welcoming sight. It was easily one of the best and most hilarious movies I've in a long time and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone on this site. -'Skintas -
After the most recent wave, with the 212th Battle Pack, it'd be crazy not to see a Phase 2 Cody. He could come in a set like the 91st Recon Trooper did, just be a lone Clone with an assortment of battle droids, and it'd be a great way to get a crab droid as well. It does seem that LEGO is slowly giving us all the components needed to make Order 66 scenes, so the idea doesnt seem too far fetched. We already got the AT-TE, and Grievous' Wheel Bike, just need a Cody and Boga now. And if we can get Saleucami, I'd say Mygeeto is much overdue. Something with a UT-AT, non-cw Ki-Adi Mundi, Bacarra and a couple Marines. Just a recoloring of the new Snow troopers would be perfect for that. -'Skintas

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
Mraz Skintas replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I think the Jedi Scout Fighter is my favorite of the wave, it's a pretty neat looking ship, and it has 4 great new figs. I wish there was a better shot of the astromech, but it looks like its a great color. I'm not big on OT stuff personally, but all of the new figs look excellent, and I just might have to pick some of them up, especially for those new Snowtroopers. The only set that doesnt stand out to me at all is the ISD - looks essentially just like the 2006 one, with updated parts and figures. Meh -'Skintas -
Picked up a handful of new sets from me LEGO store today. Two of the Utapau and Kashyyyk Clone Trooper packs, a Battle of Saleucami, Anakin's Jedi Interceptor, an AV-7 Antivehicle Cannon, and an AT-AP. All of them are great sets, amazing new figures and parts selections -'Skintas

It's been a while since I bought anything, so over the last month I've bought most of the Summer 2013 sets, and today I picked up a second Republic Gunship for $79.99!

I've been working on something for a bit now, just forgot to sign up Just waiting a few minifigs. I just want to check, is it okay if it isn't from a particular episode, just so long as it takes place in the Clone Wars?

The cancelling a few projects I'm okay with, it makes sense, because as Brickdoctor said, they seemed to be all over the place with their development. But as far as canning the entire studio and laying everyone off, that was another dumb move on Disney. I enjoyed TOR for a little while, but failure to have any major updates made it kinda boring after the first couple of playthroughs, so that being said, TFU was the last Star Wars game I really thoroughly enjoyed all the way through, because it had some great DLCs. TFU2 wasn't bad, but I wasn't as great as the first one. I think had LucasArts chosen to contact a different partner for Battlefront 3, that was still up and running and making good shooters, that would have been a giant step in the right directions, and probably raised the chances to keep their studio open.

Well 1313 and First Assault aren't happening, Disney shut down LucasArts... http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2013/04/03/disney-closes-game-publisher-lucasarts.aspx

Non of the post OT EU that I know of did anything to mess with movie canon. I dont see why Chewie dying would be a big deal, sure it would suck, but the ratio of OT main character deaths to PT main character deaths is unfair. I'll be upset if one of them doesn't die in the new movie

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 5 Discussion
Mraz Skintas replied to LEGOman273's topic in Culture & Multimedia
As far as the show being intended to have 8 seasons goes, I definitely think that it would have gotten better as it went along, because for the most part it has. There's been a few off episodes, but as for the production, animation, and overall storytelling quality, that's only gone up. While the Droid or Younglings arcs went the most entertaining, they were different, still interesting, and well done. I don't know how many of you watch Supernatural, but in my opinion, it's only gotten better as it's gone along. It's on it's 8th season now, and going to be renewed for a 9th, with so far, all but I think season 3 having 22 episodes, so a good long lasting show can be done. I definitely think that Filoni had intended to go as long as he could, not for the sake of milking, but because he enjoyed the show, and enjoyed giving us something new every weekend. -
Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 5 Discussion
Mraz Skintas replied to LEGOman273's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I'm quite sure how equating the thought of Star Wars with Luke, Leia, and Han would be a good thing. When we left them in the OT, they were all happy and celebrating because they defeated the Empire, and as far ad EU goes, the actors can't really portray them in the way any of the books or comics do. If we are to be mentally swayed from the PT and Clone Wars, then it should be new characters.
