What problem did it have? Mine lost picture after a few days of playing. Sound and everything still worked, but just no picture. After a call to microsoft, they suggested resetting the console, and wal-la! Been working great ever since. Only have 3 games right now. Prodject Gotham Racing 3, FIA world cup (for my girl friend),and Perfect Dark Zero. Kinda week. Beat it in less than a week. PGR3 is sweet though. Car games have always been my favorite.

Wow. Good use of limited shelf space. Funny how this post came up today. I just went to Ikea this afternoon to get some new shelving for all my sets. I think i can get all my town on one shelf, but my technic will take up 4 or 5 shelfs by themselfs. We'll see once iget the shelving delivered next week.

I've always wanted to get a L&S vehicle, but never did. I don't think they ever got that popular. DIDn't they only last for like 2 or 3 years?

My co-workers little boy got a lego train for Xmas, and he wants to hook up the cars in his older sets to his new train. They tried this, but after the 3rd car the magnets give out. The only think i could sugjest to her at the time was to make a new coupler. But i'm not familar with the train sets enough to know if this will work or not. Has anyone done this? Will anymore weight damage the motor? Also, has anyone ran morethan one engine at a time? Forgive if these questions sound dumb, but i'm just not familar with the train sets.

My favorite is when Strong BAd, and the Cheat make fun of techno music. I'm a fan of technomyself, so it made it even better. Good site to kill time.

Not bad. I'm guessing this is retailing for around $5 U.S. I'll be picking this up for sure, as long as a few extra for the tools.

Umm... I don't hate bionicle. I like others, just have my prefered theme's. I haven't been on eurobricks very long, but i haven't seen anyone state that they "hate" bionicle. :o

Isn't it just as possible to swallow a lego magnet from a train coupler,or simular peice,as it would be from this bega block magnet? Lego will always be better in my opinion, but i don't see this making them any better.

Street Bike Pic review
5150 Lego replied to xwingyoda's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Nice review. This set never really caught my eye before since i never was a big street bike fan, but i do like how they used a chian instead of gears for the rear swing arm. -
You and i have the same taste in techinc set glyman! :D I too prefer sets with function over form (but there are a few exceptions ;) ) Construction being my favorite. Iv'e seen the air tank in a couple sets, but don't have one of my own yet. Is there an advantage to having one hooked up? I have a contact over seas that speacializes in discontinued sets, so i'll have to see if he has this one in his store.

Well, lets first talk about the turntable. I have crane 8431, whitch uses a crank in the back to turn the turntable. Though its a nice touch, if had any kind of load on the hook, the turntable wouldn't move with the crank. You would always have to use your hands. So this new simple design is welcomed. As we all have mentioned before, the pneumatics are half done. I conected the open ends of the pistons to the switch like chewie sugjested, and it does help, but not a true fix. I fell that there's just to much weight for 2 cylinders to handle. Espeacially when the boom is fully extended. I think adding 2 more cylinders will not onlysolve the problem, but also give the crane much more lifting power. I myself haven't had any issues in termes of speed wise for extending the boom, or the string. But remeber that it does have very low gearing to make it less stress full on the motor. If its taking longer than you think it should, try checking all the gears, and related bushings. Make sure nothing binding up, or to tight. I probbly spent an extra 1/2 hour or so just making sure all the gears moved smoothly. I glad you mentioned about the string moving with the boom extending. Mine does the same. I too thought i might have built that wrong, but if we both have that funtion, than i think we got it right. I for one like it that way anyways. It Keeps from having to constently switching over between the two. Are you talking about andding a jib extention to the already exsisting boom,or just making a new boom design? Either way im sure we'd all like to see that when completed. I added a jib extention, second hook, and line to crane, and it came out preety good. Though i'm limited to what i can pick up with the jib extention on. With it on, its abolut 7, or 8 inches taller than 8421.

Again, i was scroling though peeron, and came aross these two sets. After But after carfull examination, i can't see the differnce between the two. They look identical, and i believe even have the same number of pieces, so what gives? Are they in fact the same? If so, why did lego come out with two identical sets with different set numbers? 8439- http://peeron.com/inv/sets/8439-1 8464- http://peeron.com/inv/sets/8464-1 ??? *wacko*

Like the question says. Do you modify your Lego sets,or keep them "factory stock"? :P I imagine most modify in some way, but i know alotof us like to collect older discontinued sets, so i can understand if some just build the set, and call it a day. I for one, don't think i have an unmodified setin my collection. I always find some way to improve over what came out of the box. Espeacially when i was younger. Somtimes the small touches, and other times there near rebuilds. I just got 8421 techinc mobile crane, and an in the processof improving on a few details. So lets hear a few examples of sets youv'e modded!
