  1. Oh my god this is a let down... oh I am so disappointed! It doesn't even look modular (except the roof) ! I mean, the construction looks fine and all, but, I was really hoping for something better (and not a fire station) ! It's just not as good looking and detailed as the past two buildings. Definitely a great looking set, but I was just hoping for something that I was going to fall in love with ... I still like GG and CC much better!
  2. I concur... petition!
  3. Yeah I really think it would be a good project for the summer... I do have a lot of free time! It does seem daunting, but I'd rather sort by size/type. If I really feel ambitious I could go both ways.
  4. 3 bins about 75 x 45 x 15 centimetres. One for Bionicle (which I might sell) and two for lego. Not sorted any more specifically than that. Ehh, I might sort it sometime....
  5. Thanks for all the nice comments. BlueBard, yes, I've designed it for just one, whole, MF. A few mods could probably make the car a two seater, but this is the way I'm leaving it.
  6. I thought that the 8402 Sports Car looks a little narrow while being four studs wide. So, of course, a MOC was in order. As you can see there are a few cut corners and I had a little trouble with the mud-guards. Criticism and suggestions would be gladly welcomed. Only one pic, sorry.
  7. Ferrari has a better chance of being let go than lamborghini. Lamborghini comes from the volkwagon license, not their own. Besides, only one Lambo set has been availableso far, and not even in stores yet! Why would they end something they just started?
  8. Sorry I'm late... I went to the one at St. Jacobs Outlet Mall. That place really sucks in terms of selection. sure, they have some summer sets, the whole space police line, but no 16+ sets. It was a real disappointment. Their explanation for not having Cafe Corner was this: "The only place you can find old sets like that is online." First, it's only from 2007, second, there is a City set on the shelf over there from 2005.... WTF
  9. I'm not sure how much that is Canadian but I NEED to get it. I got the FXX, hopefully it's around the same price. Fortunately this design is infinitely better IMO
  10. I've always had trouble finding a use for that huge cockpit in MOCs ever since I took the Slave I apart (which was a bad idea in the first place). Good to see you pulled it off! Plus, I love the colours, very striking!
  11. If I had all of the necessary resources to obtain these sets, I'd probably go for the UCS, simply because it is most detailed and intimidating, or majestic. Those are qualities I like. If 10179 was out of the question for some reason (I wonder what that could be) I'd get 4504 - minifig scale, very playable (I love the roof function) and well designed ("ribcage" design). Unfortunately neither of those are available, so this year I look forward to purchasing the Midi-Scaled Falcon. It seems nice.
  12. My guess is that TLG was trying to get across the fact that this set was based on the trench scene in ANH, for the anniversary. In this case, the logical choice would be to include just one character, the pilot. That's just how I see it though, I may be wrong... I wonder many more opinions we need on this set? Not to say I don't like the review of course, I think it was very detailed and great overall. Keep it up!
  13. Hmm, I wonder why they don't do that kind of thing (witch burning) in reality anymore these days.... Anyway, great MOC, I would've voted for it!
  14. Dream Theater - Misunderstood Best. Band. Ever.
  15. Alright, well tanks for being cool, and all the co-operation! I guess Ill just have to go to the Bricks and Blocks Outlet...
  16. Okay, new idea - When TLG is finished with the CW sets, I think it would be smart for them to go back to PT, most notably EP1 and especially EP2. I guess CW vehicles are very much alike to AoTC vehicles, but some of the scenes would make good sets. EP1: -AAT -Droid Ship that looks like a dragonfly, can't remember the class (midi-scale?) -Ani's House (with naked C-3PO!) EP2 -Scene with acklay -Dex's Diner -Kamino -Midi-Scale Slave I There you go
  17. Thanks, but that's just too bad for me! I've been looking all around for 10182 and I don't want to buy it online. Is there anywhere in this area that has it, that you know of?
  18. Ricecracker, are there any hard to find/ exclusive sets at this sale? (ex. Cafe Corner )
  19. I think the trash compactor scene (ANH) would make for a nice small set. They pulled it off well for 10188, and I think those short $400 should be able to get the same kind of deal on it's own. It may be a cheap way to get quite a few figures, like Han + Luke in stormtrooper outfits, Leia and Chewy (who is really nice and quite rare, especially in small sets!) I also think the alternate scene with threepio and artoo near the elevator would work. It could even include a locked door! :) The two sets could be a duo of sorts, kind of like the Final Duel and Jedi Defense sets (with a higher piece count and price) Now that I think about it, those are some pretty stupid ideas for sets, but IMO we're really scraping the bottom of the barrel with OT sets here. I'm just getting a bit tired of all the CW sets. Just my thoughts^
  20. I just hope they announce that modular building before any info on 2010 sets is released! I also hope they'll release a Imperial ship as the big set - I hope for it to be my first new Pirate set. (I opted out of buying BrickBeards Bounty because I knew the Imperial ship would look better )
  21. Well said, and I'm truly looking forward to that new model! Can't wait for it to be announced.
  22. If only TLG kept these in production... I'd buy one just for the alternative! Looks great, could use instructions...
  23. Great job. Very well designed, however I like the detail on the hardware store more than the simplicity of the model. I also like the "sunken-in" windows and front/ side section (where the door is). Keep up the good work.
  24. I have this set! Granted, all of the parts are scattered around in my technic bin, but I can always find the signature helmet and the cape! I loved it (for the short time it wasn't taken apart) and I love your review! Great work. P.S I've always had way too many trans-red axle connectors...
  25. Thanks very much for the warm welcome. I hope to start participating in discussion as soon as possible. As for the Reviewers Academy, yes, I've heard all about it! I'd be happy to take the course, but unfortunately I haven't a clue how to upload pictures from my camera (it's new) so I don't consider myself ready for the task.
