As much as I don't like closing threads, this is too far off for Pirates, it would be a good topic for the Community forum.

My thought line goes like this, if you are trying to stay true to the Islanders brand as portrayed by LEGO, then don't contradict anything that they have officially released in a set, otherwise with so few sets, the rest is open to interpretation. For example, we know they used canoes so don't give them a solar powered motor boat.

Statue of Liberty (3450) and Eiffel Tower (10181)

www.bricklink.com Try to buy them used. -
Also a thread you feel is of prime discussion might not be of any interest to the next person. Granted I do agree that the two you presented are hot topics, not everyone is going to feel that way. If you want to be able to stay on top of a topic and you don't want to have to look for it, then subscribe to that thread, and it shows up in your user control panel.

It's a bummer they didn't take the time to properly print both sides, but they are priced accordingly. Another great review. Thanks again for reviewing all 3.

This set is a no brainer, with a $10 sebulba and the mini and the planet mold, it's great. I wasn't too excited about these 3 sets, but the planet molds make them worth it to me. Great review again, it's nice that you did all 3 at once so we weren't left wonder on any of them.

Thanks for the review it looks great. I think the death star mold is worth the $10 by itself. I'll definitely be getting all of this series.

It is a great build but please refrain from bumping old threads if you don't have anything useful to add.

How much did you spend on Lego in 2011?
Big Cam replied to Legacy Man's topic in General LEGO Discussion
If it would not have been for PotC and collectable minifigs my number would be close to zero. Luckily I picked up the entire PotC line, the new Falcon, 2 boxes of collectable minifigs and a few random sets. I'll say around $1000 plus or minus $100. -
What % of your Lego Collection is Pirate?

Good topic idea, I'll add a poll. -
I doubt SirSven7 will be making any shots from the back since he didn't create it, he found it. There may be more views at the creators flickr though.

That is quite the interesting use of helmets.

What's his or her name going to be?

I'll merge this with the existing youtube thread.

Stunning work Z, seriously it's so massive and it looks like it's probably to size as well. I love how the front door is tiny and minifig sized, but tall like a castle would be. It's truly awesome.

Fantastical. -
I most certainly agree,, penis jokes are always funny. BUT, as a general rule for all members, you should only post in this thread if you have a new title of your own to share, or if you were directly involved in someone elses title. Thank You.

I'd put my money on the ten post limit as well. PM's, and the Buy Sell Trade Forum are two of the knowns that require ten posts, I'd assume the mafia/wargames forum has the same 10 post requirement. -
Yes it is. 2tal pwnage boonz!!!1!! I'm thinking Hinckley, I said pwnage, falling back on my older internet days and I now have this hilarious title.

If you are going to be including pictures with MOC's, I would suggest the Pirate MOC forum.
-
I've updated your title so it is less confusing when this topic is seen on the active topics list.

Avatar (profile picture) issues
Big Cam replied to Nikola Bathory's topic in Forum Information and Help
This is a simple cache issue. Since the question has been answered let me explain why this happens. When you upload your new avatar and the page finishes loading and you see your old avatar still, simply click the refresh button in your browser (or F5 on Windows) and it will show. The problem is your browser keeps a cache of all the images to help load pages faster, if you upload an avatar of a different size from your previous one, you'll notice when the page loads your old avatar will display but look distorted. The browser is smart enough to know that the dimensions changed but it is still using the cached image, a page refresh is all you need. If by chance a refresh doesn't work, clearing your cache will. -

You're been churning out some great historical recreations lately, I think each one gets better. [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]
